Jackson was right, the Creeks lived to regret the fort Mims massacre. Where the Creek Indians murdered everyone including women and children. War is hell.

I was at a Walmart a few years ago and had a conversation with a young man of Indian heritage, he stated that His people were from Alabama originally and of the creek nation. He lived in Oklahoma,, I've been trying to learn more about them since.

I fully agree! History is written by the victors. Andrew Jackson was a war criminal, plain and simple. No mention of the atrocities committed by the white man that caused this. At Mvskoke towns those men encountered, the murdered women and children. Unborn babies were cut from the womb, women’s uterus were worn on hats. David Crockett found this practice abhorrent and that was when Jackson’s men staged a revolt and walk out. Jackson threatened to shoot the men. It was a grudge Crockett bore after the war. This is why Crockett refused to support Jackson’s bill for the Indian removal act. If you doubt what I’m saying, do some reading on Crockett’s personal letters. The truth about the matter lies there! I’m Red Stick proud and still in Mvskoke territory in Alabama!

I think that the illustrator of this should remind. People that the indigenous people that turned against each other were coaxed to this through starvation and by the threat of death. And removal.

Indigenous ppl warred amongst the tribes over territory long before the arrival of Europeans. "Coaxed", "starved" (into complicity) descriptions are a little speculative imo. Indigenous tribes of that time were not the submissive society of the last century. They fought and loved it. I married a tall, blue-eyed Irish x Norwegian x SE USA Indian. He awoke every morning looking for a fight, as did his uncles and male cousins. Harnessing that energy for productive purpose was a mystery to behold. They all were very competitive, successful, entrepreneurs, but somehow unrelated tribesmen they encountered felt their energy and often remarked on their fiercness without knowing their background. Their family assimilated and left Oklahoma after the 1861 - 1865 war. I never heard one hint of resentment or vengence come out of their mouths in 46 yrs. I speculate their Christian faith had a great deal to do with their quest to conquer the savage that lived within.

Let's not forget that colonization started in 1492 and by then. In the 1800s, division was already sown between tribes. We regret fighting one another. For colonizers. We would have never fought against each other if it wasn't for colonization.

We would have war games OK. And the winners actually were the ones that got sacrificed because it was an honor to be sacrificed. That person would be treated like gold for like a year before. Sacrifice even happenot only that, but they would also be under the influence of alcohol and drugs. You know, not drugs, but herbs that help kept them sedued. My people believe that. Life was a gift. We did not war with each other like you people did. Not until spell. The invasion and the war tactics that were used against us to divide and conquer. And order out of chaos. War tactics, then we start fighting for territory and stuff like that.Because we were being pushed off our lands. And we were being starved to death and our children were being taken from us
