On June 8th, 2019, hundreds of friends, family members, and fans of Driven to Cure piled in to Strathmore Music Center to remember the life and legacy of Driven to Cure founder, Andrew Lee. Many took time to remember Andrew including Maryland Men's Basketball Head Coach Mark Turgeon, Governor Larry Hogan R-MD, childhood friend Michel Russo, and National Institutes of Health Director Dr. Francis Collins.

In May 2015, Andrew was diagnosed with an advanced stage rare kidney cancer known as HLRCC. Shortly after his diagnosis, Andrew's dream of owning a Nissan GT-R came true with the help of his dad.
Andrew recognized the importance of using his situation as a way to help others in his position. That is why Andrew created Driven to Cure, a non-profit centered around his custom Liberty Walk GT-R, painted orange in recognition of the official color of Kidney Cancer awareness. With Driven to Cure, Andrew traveled to car events throughout North America promoting awareness for rare kidney cancers. At the time of his passing, Andrew had raised over $500,000 for rare kidney cancer research.
Although Andrew has left us, his spirit and tenacity lives on with Driven to Cure. The GT-R continues to travel to car events to raise awareness and funds for research. We invite you to visit our website at www.driventocure.org to learn more.
