I dont think u can focus on comedy day in day out and not run out of material. The reason rogan has been successful is because hes podcast is about learning mostly. But yeah shultz is trying to act like hes a philosopher. He took joes comment about him being president to his head.
@@Vorenus875OP used it correctly. He surrounds himself with people who laugh at his jokes - while nobody outside his circle does. That is exactly what echo chamber is.
Shultz talks like he is the more successful, experienced, and knowledgeable of the group when thats not him. Nobody wants to hear him trying to be an intellectual, I think he needs to focus on being funny and doing some pre-production, rather than having a talk show and talking about random things withe same bunch of people, . Having said that, Its not easy to talk on these long podcasts for sometimes hours, and still be interesting or funny. I cant even watch most of the Rogan shows because they can go for 2-3 hours, and the guest is often kind of boring, Most TV talk shows go for an hour and they have dozens of writers and producers that cost a lot of money so its not easy but yeh I think Shultz needs to change his persona a little and stop trying to be the intellectual that he is not. Just my opinion I dont hate the guy. I think he could be funny with a little tweaking.
Original comment..where did you get it from. The 50 other comments with the same thing. Bet you're one of those guys that leaves comments like "who's listening to this in 2024."
@@kt3184 I get what you're saying, but comedians are supposed to be funny. That should be their primary job. Norm McDonald said it best "play the dumb guy" in an interview with Larry King. Bill Maher and Dennis Miller want to be seen as intellectuals but David Letterman was smarter than all of them but he knew to "play the dumb guy" so the audience likes you more and laughs more. No one likes a guy pretending to be smarter than the audience. That's why Schulz is getting so much hate rn. And it's not like he's saying anything no one has ever heard before lol
@@lenafelipe "They go, 'A comedian is the modern-day philosopher, you know?' Which, first of all, it always makes me feel sad for the actual modern-day philosophers." - Norm Macdonald: Nothing Special (2022)
It was after the studio change. I literally said "oh this must be a different version of the show that they do with special guests, feels different, I like the regular format". nope, this is the new format.
When he started talking about George Floyd was when his audience really turned. He was pretending to be based, but was completely full in on Charlemagne's crazy black theories.
its like oompaville or whatever his channels name is, its a good way to get more views and keep it from a single angle shot getting boring, makes it easier for him to look around and make it feel more natural im sure.
Danny Devito with a crippling side kick. And btw Mighty Mouse is the greatest all-around martial artist alive right now, and he _handled_ a guy twice his size in an open tourney recently. Don't judge based on size.
Flagrant was falling off for a while since they got the new studio. But the nail in the coffin for me was when Schultz scammed everyone with his special. Said it was going to be limited time only. When the deadline came, he extended it. And then after he squeezed out as much money as he could from his fans, he put it on RU-vid for free with a huge cringe ad in the middle of it.
@@Make-Asylums-Great-Again I didn't know that term "broiling" lol thank you for the vocab ! Of course he doesn't "need" two cameras, but in the long term it could be a usefull skill for him if he wants to make other types of content like podcast or whatever. We shouldn't stop someone who is on a path to betterment
"destiny was debating Finklestein" has to be the most exaggerated claim. He was in a room with the man, but to call that a debate, is an insult to 9th grade debate clubs.Ultimately, Schulz is about intelligent as his mustache implies.
I swear men everywhere should just know if you this mustache we already ain't taken you seriously, I swear it's the liberal tell for these types of men, they don't have to dye their hair blue, just have this mustache.
Lmao yuck……no one is waiting just to hear Andrew just “speak”. Just Tell jokes ya big jackasss lmao. Even his hairline screams “IM JACKED TO TEETH ON AMPHETAMINES”…….WEVE HEARD ENOUGH “SPEECH” FROM YOU ANDREW. BE MORE FUNNY!
@@TDX3000 yea no, this shit is very bad. We don’t need a dramatic cam switch to him staring at our soul while doing a bare minimum recap of somebody else’s content like it’s a Shakespearean monologue. It’s unnecessary and bad. Like this is bare minimum content so this shit is sooooo unwarranted
I still think it’s hilarious that Joe Rogan considers himself a stand-up comedian, and not a caster. The only reason he has found longevity in the comedy world is his podcast. His stand-up comedy is widely criticized and hasn’t really evolved past crude middle school humor. If you ask the average Joe Rogan fan to name two of his comedy specials and “at least one joke from them, I guarantee over 90% couldn’t do that. In fact, just about everything else that he has done (fear factor, UFC commentating, and podcasting) has been way more successful than his stand-up comedy.
Couldn’t agree more. This guy is obviously biased and has made clear who his favorite comics are, like Theo, Shane, etc. Which is okay, however, I think Schulz is doing fine, his Flagrant podcast too. Some episodes funnier than others, then again that applies to all of them.
If the content of the video is completely based on hating someone else's work, that's all you need to know. Over half the length of the video is just cutting stuff out of popular podcasts. I block ads so I don't contribute to the wallets of haters.
Suffering through terrible comedians podcasts so we don't have to. I appreciate the coverage. If you're famous you should listen to the ppl who cover your content so you don't become delusional and out of touch like these guys. You could actually save your career, stop income loss, and maintain relativity. It isn't hate from guys like this it is actually very useful constructive criticism.
I never knew about Andrew until Joe Rogan and I instantly thought when I saw him how douche he looked and how unintelligent he came off as being, legit a fact sniffer. If he isn't any of those things man does he appear that way to people who don't know him.
Is there anyone in this little dark corner of hate that you guys actually like? This whole channel is literally just whining about people you don’t like… just drowning in negativity
Imagine being a well known comedian(whether funny or not), then stumble upon this video of a complete GOOF/DORK critiquing your podcast work. Talking about hours upon hours of watching... 😂😂😂 smh
Redbar is so funny! Does anyone else know an internet show that isn’t on RU-vid that is on par with Redbar? Doesn’t have to be same subject but just as good?? I like how Redbar doesn’t have to toe the line he just does and says whatever without censorship amd fear
normand is too enmeshed with these mediocre losers. they think being a comedian is respectable and not just somethign depressed people do. they become self important and start believing they are above crticism. very self important but then also say things like "these guys are losers for being so invested in us!" they want it both ways.
Everyone who has a RU-vid channel is chasing money. You think a guy making videos featuring useless commentary on comedians isn't chasing money either? Normand is still funny on most pods.
Joe rogan ABSOLUTELY switched up his podcast, his attitude and more when he got more famous. No idea how you can confidently say he "didnt really change"
Everyones talking about how Andrew surrounds himself with "yes men", and how he lives in an echo chamber, yet the far majority of people whom watch this channel, are the same ones surrounding themselves in these hate mongering echo chambers of doom. You guys have been shitting on this guy for about two years now, most of you complaining about a man whom doesn't even know you exist, and You're trying to convey to the world that shultz is the problem? If you dont like it, why continue to partake in watching him, or listening, why give him attention? I'll tell you why, because most of you have nothing better to do than distract yourselves from your own troubles to engage in the misteps of another man to make yourselves forget about your own misgivings. You've got one life, and you're using it obsessing over a man who literally doesn't even know you? Do something for yourself, who cares about what everyone is doing, there's so much more to life than this.
I find Schultz unbearable. He preeches how valuable "being authentic" is, but he switches the way he talks and acts so drastically based on who he's sitting with. Its borderline offensive. An absolute phony.
I think comedy podcasts in general are declining. We are tired of hearing comedians pat themselves on the back and talk about how hard being a comedian is
You wanna know what the worst part of all this is? Schulz and Akaash built the Flagrant Pod together. They actually made it the most exciting hang by just being flagrant and funny with their takes and not following some topic to topic formula nonsense. Since they’ve moved into the new studio, Akaash has just become an afterthought on the podcast. He’s just been replaced by whoever the guest of the week is. And even worse is he’s no longer even on the thumbnail whenever there are no guests on. So in a way it’s like the person who helped build the podcast from the ground up got demoted. It was all a joke when people called out Schulz for not getting Akaash solo chair whenever there is no guest and instead putting him on the couch like he’s not a co-host and centerpiece of the show. It was a joke all a joke and a “marketing strategy” when they removed Akaash’s name from the title of the pod for a while for discoverability. But now it just seems like his presence is an afterthought. The FUN dynamic that made the podcast what it was is no longer there. If they’re telling jokes, it’s all inside jokes that viewers aren’t even part of and I guess you’re just supposed to laugh with them cuz they’re famous? The dumbest thing the podcast could’ve have done was shifting away from just Schulz and Akaash on screen to all four of them on screen. It makes no sense. It brings nothing to the show. It ruins the SICK BACK & FORTH BANTER that literally made the podcast LAP the Brilliant Idiots podcast in growth. And of course, Schulz is suffering the collective hatred now from his decision to be manipulative and slick with the marketing of his last special. And how he seems to lack self awareness in how he speaks to guests on his show like Shane, Whitney, etc. And now he’s getting crucified for it. Oh well. At least he’s making boat loads of money in the process.
True 😬 the worst is that now he just has another guy laughing in the background and that’s what he made fun of Ben for. He just has a different dollar store Ben now
Disagree. He's still funny. Some of the guests have sucked recently (Jessica Kerson) but he still has the same dark, sarcastic takes on cultural stuff. Lemon party is just too many people talking at once.
Don't get your point Was it specific to andrew saying the "trans day wasn't specifically chosen on Easter day" is wrong? It was picked on 31st March to be trans visibility day in 2021. Easter in 2021 was 4th April. Easter in 2024 was 31st March Schulz in this specific example is correct
I do disagree with you on Segura being a podcaster first. I feel like he's more of a comedian first. His comedy is brilliant and their podcast was second.
Theo's shtick where he clearly lies about some random, absurd event that took place during childhood is getting pretty old. I'm fine with comedians embellishing to a large extent but it should feel grounded in some sort of reality.
Why do we need 2 camera angles of you? We don’t need to see your face at all just play the clips. Also pronounce every syllable in the word when you talk please
Andrew looks like he belongs in a barbershop quartet with that haircut and mustache. All he needs is a Boater hat and another 3 friends to start making music
