​@@Ystadcop Yes I took the production of Sea Wall seriously. Its a serious piece of theatre by a serious writer. Did you see it? If your post was not intended to condescendingly diminish Andrew Scott and Simon Stephens then I apologise as I have misread it. I am in Australia and Covid-19 has decimated our arts communities and we have not been included in any government funding or job keeper payments so it is in absolute crisis. In my country sport rules even though the arts makes more money and is supported by more people. Our politicians have a "luvvies" attitude too ("luvvies" colouring people as silly, lightweight, indulgent ), hence why our industry has been discounted. Your comment stung even though I hope that was not the intention. I will go and relax now as requested.

@@lucindaarmour7422 Lucinda, if you look at comments under the broadcast, you will see that I gave it great praise for the writing and acting. I also added that I would have preferred it as a radio play as the visual was superfluous to the dialogue. The writer gave this a "like" and a return comment. I grew up throughout the 50s and 60s in a house that provided theatrical "digs." Actors and actresses, comedians, dancers, musicians and production staff regularly displaced me from my bedroom but the upside was that I absorbed their humour and often rather eccentric outlook on life. Massive egos abounded, I have to disclose this gem..... And many of them refused to take themselves seriously (the actors that is) as they spent their lives pretending to be other people. Lucinda, many of them precisely fitted the bill as "luvvies," I'm sure that with your considerable experience in "the profession" you'll have to agree. Of course, being of my generation I am very influenced by that mighty organ (that's me camping it up) Private Eye and its Luvvie column. I'm sorry you're having a tough time of it, but not as tough as me, I'll be bound. Anyway, all the best and perhaps one day I'll vader your old eeks.

I have some small insight into what growing up in theatrical digs may have been like in the 50s and 60s and now see that your comment is one filled with deep affection.
