Imagine if Andy and Rodney sat down and put their genious together, what could become of that colab? I wonder if the two of them have ever gotten together and nerded out talking skateboarding.
I’ve been riding the 56mm 93 dragons for almost a year so when the 56mm nano cubics came out I had to get them but I’m so used to the 93 that the 97 nano cubics feel so much harder and honestly I think I’m gonna have to get the 93 nano cubics but I definitely felt the difference when getting into and out of slappys and other grinds. I honestly love this wheel shape and it’s definitely something people have to try
Back in 1985 I bought some Powell III's. They are the same thing as the cubic wheel. Big fat doughnut wheels. Later I put them in a clamp and hacksawed them in half and made the world's first modern skate wheel. Same size as the green dragons. My ollie instantly went 6 inches higher.
GREAT VIDEO ANDY. IT WAS THE MOST COMPREHENSIVE VIDEO I HAVE EVER WATCHED. I MAY HAVE TO BUY A SET OF WHEELS LIKE THAT. THOSE BOARDS ARE SO SICK. HOW THEY TAPER IN THE MIDDLE IS SO BADASS. ANDY IS LIKE THE OLD SCHOOL BUT FUTURISTIC PHENOM WHOS FORTE IS TO SLAY ALL PLACES THAT HE FUCKING SKATES LIKE AN OG FROM THE STREETS.
Yooo it's dope y'all are doing different sizes n durometer. I've already got the 52mm 97a on my 9.5" egg. I'm keen to try the 60mm 93a on my heroin 10.5" curb crusher 👊
Sick that you finally did kind of a break down of these. Would you call it a street-freestyle hybrid or recommend it to people who want a wheel that performs good in both areas?
YOU ANDY ARE A LOYAL GUY, MAYBE THE MOST LOYAL SKATER IN SKATEBORDING. YOU RESPECT WHAT POWELL HAS DONE FOR YOU. ("ACE AFI'" TRUCKS) WOULD BE SO NICE UNDER YOUR BOARD. IN ALL HONESTY IT SHOWS HOW TALANTED YOU ARE. CUZ IF YOU RODE LIKE THUNDER OR ACE, MAN THEY WOULD LOOK GOOD ON UR SETUP. SOME TITANIUM ACE TRUCKS. ''THAT THEY MAKE JUST FOR YOU THE ANDY ANDERSON ACE TITANIUMS''
I've fallen in love with my dragons 93A 58mm, I was depressed as frick when i heard your wheels only came 97A 52mm, bUT WHEN YOU SAID YOU MADE MORE I IMMEDIATELY BOUGHT THEM BEFORE THE VID ENDED THANK YOU ANDY!
I got these wheels and they are amazing, 93A will probably feel even better for streets. Just keep in mind that they will make your trucks about 1/4 inch wider, each wheel will add about 10 grams to your setup and 5mm bigger contact surface. If you ride 8.25 board on low trucks (that are usually up to 8 inch wide) these wheels will be a perfect match.
I love Andy. He's actually trying to make new products that make sense. Kind of like Nintendo are always innovating and actually pushing things forwards.
As a kid I used to try rail stand stuff all the time but only did it on linoleum tile so it wouldn’t ruin my trucks. These wheels are seriously a god send too sick
My first dexk in 85 was a Guerrero, outfitted with Indys and Crossbones. A gem. Those wheels were so much better than what my boys were riding, but I didn't get what I really wanted out of them. I went old school rat bones and never looked back. I understand symmetry, but skating isn't that; you're always adjusting to manipulate this object to do what you want, yet stay under your feet. I get it. May not be your thing, but that's the beauty - it's an art that is so dope, they had to make it a sport. Your options are endless nowadays.
I can I’m prob better then both of you at a skating I’m super chill and funny and me and all my homies think Andy is lame just not a cool skater in our opinion no hate but you guy are the lame weird ones like no hate Andy Is good but trust the majority of people think his style is goofy and he’s good but a lot of skaters care about not looking goofy
@@jojosantos1264that’s why people like Andy…. He’s not a slave to his ego and he doesn’t have zero self esteem to cry when someone says something negative about him
Shoes, Decks, Wheels and now grip tape ...wonder what Andy has cooking for trucks? Crazy thing is there was a Grind King G2 set that came out in the 90's with crude suspension bushings but had allen bolts for the wheels so they sort of did the same as the Nanos as far as being protected. I guess they came out right when the deck bolt patterns got changed so they couldn't be used with new decks. They also had plug hardware but can't find any reference on the internet for them.
Andy trying to make skating easier, I love it 👏🏼. There's a beveled flat bar at my local park and locking 50s is a dirty sob. I bet these would help a lot.
@@petergriffen437 no actually I've slid them so much they've probably halved in size and there is no flatspots. Unfortunately they do wear out kinda fast if you're into power slides.
@@mRSasha-dv3mb I'm a beginner, not huge into slides and stuff but was just curious to hear if they flat spot, for the price these wheels look amazing, thank you for the response. Might have to get some of these soon!
The thing is. Everything has been already been invented and tested before, the boards wheels everything. We old skaters like it. But all of this whit wheel shapes, carbon in boards and so on is old news for us grumpy old men. But we like it and are the first to buy new stuff. The new urethane is a new thing though..
No need for the pitch, bro. I copped a set of 52mm's already. They are wider than I usually like, but I'm really stoked on these wheels. I ride these at the park and the 54mm 93a dragons on my street board.
I have these 52mm 97 Nano wheels, I really like them! Reminder for people, these wheels are wide therefore they are heavy. I ride light trucks with these. I skate mainly flatground, but if i want I can do varial railflip with these, I can!
They are good. I’m not a power wheel guy I’m OJ ,SPITFIRE fan. The dragons 58 mm are just so good. I’m an old head and I’ve skated where’s from everyone. I like these a lot ! Try the big boy stuff guys get a big gun and s9me 159 trucks and 58 mm. Specially for you guys around 6 ft 3 like me. You will thank Andy.
I thought it was just marketing snake oil, but they do exactly what Andy says. It’s so much easier to get 50/50 onto slappies and to lock into ledges and copings. Amazing wheels.
Finally after 3 months of waiting, I got me some of those wheels. Absolutely love them. Wish they could come a Lil bigger tho.. 56mm or 60mm. But great wheels!!!
Cant wait to get my hands on the 58mm 93 nanos! think it will be the ultimate setup for me with my flight deck and mag light trucks, cant wait to try them out
Wide wheels. Sounds like I'll need to keep my eight inch trucks if I want to skate these wheels on a deck eight five to eight two five. Wheels look great, man.
Nice! I'm planning on picking up a set of these for a freestyle board! I've been using the 53a Dragons for a little over a year now (full review on my channel) and I LOVE them. Love seeing innovation and new ideas in skateboarding.
I feel like Hubba wheels did this way back in the day honestly everyone is just trying to make Hubbas again, a slightly softer street wheel. The closest feeling wheel to hubbas is formula 4s and i really miss hubbas but Im going to be Spitfire til death now but its cool everyone is trying to make hubbas again best wheels ever
@@authenticandyanderson you would have loved em The Dave Bachinsky Hubba mini ramp video Bachinskys Gone Wild was sick! But i miss those wheels every day
