Angelina has always been good, but in the last year or so she has developed a superpower. This is the vocal control over the texture of her voice that can be adjusted in the subtlest ways throughout her dynamic range from a whisper to a full belt and regardless of whether it is head voice, chest voice, mixed, or falsetto. I cannot at the moment think of another artist past or present in any genre that can do what she is displaying in her recent songs. I haven't heard everyone and it is a wide world so imagine there must be someone else, if anyone can think of someone else let me know, I'd like to hear them.
You're wrong. Everything she does is expected because she is the best singer of our time. I am an old man, and I regret that I won't be around to hear all of the music she will produce.

For years i was upset that i missed Ella, Billie, and Nina. Now we have Angelina to bring all that legendry to the present. Her music is part of my everyday. Its like she sings in the language of violins, french horns, bassoons and electric pianos. Her voice has every color and so well done.

How can she take an original song that was a great hit and make it so much better than it was ever performed in the past? She is a talent that is so great and unlike anything we have ever experienced. I have experienced all the greats in my 74 years, but none come close to Angelina Jordan.

I don’t listen to very much “new” music on the radio at my age, but these three songs are all beautiful. 100% agree that Angelina absconded these from the original artists. I would buy the CD, cassette, reel to reel, 8 track, vinyl etc if she puts them out. I WANT THE WHOLE SONG!!!

Fantastic reaction and she is running about 75% better than the original and the rest as good as! Some songs are not my ones I would listen to, for I didn't care for them, then Angelina sang them. She gave them new life and the funny thing is she don't need to belt or just get all crazy with runs. She knows what the song is missing or needs tweeking. She is definitely all kinds of amazing, but those are tiktok eyes. You'll notice in her videos that her eyes are brown. @@Shakes-P They are blue contacts, not TiKTok/IG filters. There are pictures of her with other artists such as Will.i.am where her eyes are blue, yet theirs are not. If it was a filter, both of thier eyes would be blue. Not that it matters what color they are, I think the blue really gives her image a WOW "it" factor. There are many that commenters that will sanctimoniously comment everywhere that she should be herself and keep them brown. She IS being herself. She is an artist. She is having fun. She is a unique talent for sure. I'm so thankful to get to experience her in real time and not, as you say, as an artist from the past we only can experience from recordings. We all probably will be able to go see and hear her live in consert. I know I am seeing her live this summer in a relatively small, outdoor venue whit about 500 people in the audience. When these short tik tok viodeos can hit so hard emotionally, recorded whit a phone, imagine the impact of seeing her live! OMG! I feel so privileged! And she only keeps getting better fast. Absolutely no can match her at what she does IMO. Not now, and not from the past. She is a true phenomenon.
For me watching and reacting to reaction video's is like sharing something dear with friends at the bar. I love these short TikToks: raw and unprocessed, in a casual setting and 100% soul. It gives a sense of a personal concert with her sitting just across the room. She has similar recordings with the guitarist Ivan Mendez. Those are much fun to watch as well. She covers Adele exceptionally well. She said Adele is an inspiration for her. Just like with Sign of the times, I'd love to see her do duets with the original artists. Thanks again!

Lol...yes, people do think she has a Southern accent. I'm from Texas and my best guess is it was her Grandma's old jazz albums that she grew up on. She tells the story of choosing to sing Gloomy Sunday by Billie Holiday on Norway's Got Talent because she was up late on her mom's phone searching for jazz and and she found "a beautiful lady who was screaming at the sky". Those old singers had rasp and drawl for miles. Somewhere on your list are her age 6 studio sessions at her school. She already had it then.
Shakes, this was a great presentation of three diamonds by Angelina. If you listen to my request of her singing “I’d Rather Go Blind” by Etta James it will reinforce your theory that she grew hanging out in a gospel church somewhere in the USA. But that’s not.her reality. We just have to understand that deep in their bones the Norwegians share the understanding of “Soul”. And this was imbued in her from birth by her exposure to blues and jazz in her family particularly thru her grandmother’s influence. You are right, Shakes, she can just turn her cellphone on herself & sing to a soft backing track at her house & it sounds better than the professionally produced studio version by the original artist. That's crazy!!! Her producers (Stargate Productions, 4 Grammy's & 17 nominations), who have worked with about 40 of some of the biggest names in the business, say they only know 3 artists that can record a song, top to bottom, all the way through in 1 take, They are Beyoncé, Sam Smith & Angelina Jordan. You wouldn't believe some of the names that they've worked with that aren't on that list! That speaks volumes about her talent. I've said many times, she could walk into a studio in the morning & leave in the afternoon with an album "in the can!"
We truly are blessed to be alive at the same time as Angelina Jordan Astar. I grew up with the music from the 60's and 70's and heard many awesome artists. Wow! Thank you for getting these out within 48 hours like you promised. I was just wanting you to see how versatile Angelina is and what she can do with our more current music. She adds in her bit of jazz and soul to all of these newer songs and makes them so much better. As you said earlier, seeing her in concert would be a no brainer. She can out sing most current artists without a studio or full production so you know that she will be amazing live! I'm sure that other fans including myself will be letting Pontus and Alan know that they need to invite you to their show. Continue on this journey with Angelina. I will have more requests as I figure out what you should hear to fill you in between what you know already. I believe the genesis for Adele's writing 'Love Is A Game' is an astounding song written and sung by Amy Winehouse. As good as the writing of this song is, it in no way comes near the genius that George Michael said was evident in Amy's 'Love Is A Losing Game'. There is a unique, graphic, 'B & W' video, with the lyrics scripted out across the screen that is listed as 'Lyric Video' version of 'Love Is A Losing Game'. George Michael went on to sing it in his concerts, for that's how impressed he was by it. When Amy won her Grammy for her 'Back To Black' album, which contained the song, Adele can be seen in the audience cheering like a young schoolgirl. If Angelina ever decides to put her spin on 'Love Is A Losing Game', it will be something to behold. When Angelina made the original release of her song 'Million Miles', she follows the same graphic/script written lyric version style of Amy's song, with the difference being she does it in color. Already being aware of how Angelina adored Amy from early on, already singing covers of songs by Amy, it is no surprise that if she visits the Amy video I mentioned, her creative juices will flow into something that will astound us.

A genuine phenom in the same vein as a Tiger Woods, Shirley Temple. Not even Michael Jackson had this level of emotion at that age. She is a tour d’force. A musical savant like no other ever. Even Queen had the sense to give her Bohemian Rhapsody after hearing her version. So should Adele and Harry Styles. Give her the rights to your songs. She makes covers special. Better than the originals. So rare a feat.
