I Lost my Mom in 2011 to brain cancer. I was away at sea so I missed her passing and any chance for closure. Then a week After the Funeral my fiancée passed from a heart defect. Every time I listen to this song I Know they are with me. I also know how both of them felt about morning them to long and I am likely on there sh*t list. The Bare foot princes has grown up, she is a women and is taking her place in Music History. With Her two big singles Million Miles which tells us how far Her talent is above the majority of the Music world today, and her other 7th Heaven is where we all go every time we get to listen to our Angalina. She has taken up her place as an Icon and a true star. Long Live the Queen.

That said, I am very happy for the choices Angelina's family has made and allowed her to grow older before she takes on the role of superstar. "Million Miles" is the song which improved the quality of life by allowing me to properly grieve the loss of loved ones. I have no doubt, this song will provide comfort to countless people until the end of time.

I'm completely with you. I was my mom's primary caretaker her last decade or more. When she was ready to die I literally sat at her hospital bed for two days without a wink of sleep holding her hand. I'm a lifelong atheist but this song hits me hard every time I hear it.

This was primarily intended to honor the passing of her Japanese grandfather who was an integral part of the 'human caring' values she possesses today. She's lost both grandfathers, shortly apart from each other, but she has an inner strength that was provided by him, which will be carried by her for the rest of her life.

I am sure in a close future the whole world is going to hear this masterpiece and emotional song. For me the Barefoot Angel is already a superstar, I don't need anybody's validation.

If this song made you cry you wouldn't stand a chance with her cover of "Always on My Mind." Her grandfather passed only days before and she was fighting back tears for the whole performance only to break down as she finished. I tear up from watching Angelina cry even after multiple viewings. Her characteristic flawless vocal control falters a bit during the song but it just adds to the emotional impact.

Yes, this was written by this 14 year old at the time in tribute to the loss of her Grandpa, but it is actually a song of hope to all of us who have lost someone in our lives and as Angelina wrote, "your never alone". Not only does Angelina have the most beautiful voice on this planet she is also a very wise and brilliant young lady. Thanks for the wonderful sincere reaction and comments.

It was dedicated to her grandfather who she lost a couple years back and anyone else who has lost a loved one. Hi, Shakes! Believe me, I know you're a young guy but you are a throwback from the 50's! I can picture you with long hair with a lot of grease in your hair, wearing a white tee shirt with your left sleeve folded up so you could carry your cigarettes there saying, "How ya doin' ", every chance you get! Angelina lost both her grandpa's and both of them meant a lot to her. When the first one passed away she sang "You Are Always On My Mind' accompanied by her guitar player, sitting on a chair with no mike right after the funeral. You definitely need to see the video. Million Miles is an original written by Angelina. Yes, it is beautifully written and what makes it so much more extraordinary is she wrote the song so that if people who suffered a similar experience heard the song she hoped they could get comfort from her words. She had difficulty recording the song in the studio because she was breaking down near the end of the song. Shakes, we are all waiting for the time when she sings a full version of the famous Charlie Chaplin song, 'Smile' sung beautifully by Nat King Cole. When she was about 12, still living in Norway, a famous Norwegian character passed away, a professional gambler, and his friends did a documentary of his life and they wanted Angelina to sing the theme song for the film and it was 'Smile'. There is a video promoting the documentary and you can hear Angelina singing the song in it's entirety but it's a backdrop to the story. However, what you will hear is something so beautifully sung by Angelina you will understand why all of us cannot wait till she does a full recording of the song. My hope is 'Smile' will be on one of her first albums. In a word, Shakes, her voice on the documentary is "spectacular" !

This month on March 12, my mother passed away almost 6 years ago ... yes I have shed tears for many artists but never as often as for Angelina she is absolutely incredible ... she brings out feelings in the lyrics that no one else in the world is near.

Angie started writing this song shortly after her 2nd grandpa died in Nov. 2019, during the filming of the finals or semi finals (or just right after) of AGT-C, she was 13. Angie started to write this shortly after his death & recorded it in 2020 at 14, ( her 1st grandpa died in 2018). Republic Records Co-Founder and C.E.O. Monte Lipman heard her singing this song & personally chased her down & signed her to the label for he wanted to sign her ASAP, & they did finally at the end on Aug. 2020. It's always a release of sorts when she draws out emotions and feel alive!! There's a cover she did of "You Were Always on My Mind" within days of losing her "Grandpa" ... This song resulted in her RR contract. She was working on the song at Stargate in LA. They invited the head of RR to the studio to hear her. He wanted her for the label and worked out the deal with her manager (Uncle Michael) with favorable terms for Angelina. A once in a generation artist. I hope you can see her in concert. She wrote this song about her late grandfather and she purged her soul while making and performing it. It’s a sad and comforting song about losing a lost one. A situation many of us can relate to. As always she hits you with a ton of emotions, making you hear the story and reflect & remember. Not all tears and sadness are bad though, tears can bring relief and leave you feel better. There is an animated lyrics version as well and more conventional version and both version I can recommend to watch: this version for feeling the emotions, the lyrics version for lettings the lyrics hit you and the video one for seeing the story. From a technical point of view, she uses a lot of dynamics, types of voice. The song is beautifully arranged and the bridge wonderful. The interaction between her voice and singing is just perfect.
