Angelina is the definition of "prodigy". She was 13 when this performance was taped for AGT Champions 2. The arrangement is completely hers, and her voice is magical. I could suggest many of her great performances, and you won't go wrong, whatever you choose. But for me, her best performance Ever is her cover of the Adele/Bruno Mars song "All I Ask". I would say to help you understand Angelina's works, then you need to start with her younger performances of Jazz covers. The Jazz background comes from her Persian (Iranian) Grandmother who is a recognised artist, the trouser suit is an example. The previous suggestion of "I Put A Spell On You" (Screaming Jay Hawkins cover) is the absolute must see and react to song. When you get to the more recent her original releases of "Million Miles" and "Seventh Heaven" plus the cover of "Heal the World" studio versions are the most popular.

When her record label (Republic Records) , family and herself want it, they can just push the button. Many people forget that she is only 15 years old today because she is so mature for her age. I think everyone on her team including the record company (Republic Records), slows down a bit with marketing her. She is so good anyway, so she can not be ignored. She delivers music that lasts, and not music that lasts for a few weeks as plastic hit. Angelina has over 600 Million Views on RU-vid and over 2 Billion Views on Facebook overall on her videos. Angelina won Norway's Got Talent at the Age of 8, and has been producing masterclass level vocals ever since. The only and regular marketing is done by the fans via RU-vid. All the important top personalities in the western music industry know who she is and what she can do. In just a few years I know that we will see great things from Angelina. Angelina is Norwegian, her full name is Angelina Jordan Astar. Her father is Swedish, her mother is Norwegian from a Japanese father and Iranian Mother Mery Zamani who is a poet and a painter and was a child prodigy in her own rights. She started singing at the age of one and a half when she fell in love with Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You”. A year later she discovered Jazz through her grandmother and showed lot of interest in artists like Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Dinah Washington, and Louis Armstrong. Angelina pestered her mother to enter her in “Simons Show” as she called it from the age of 3. Her mother relented and entered her in Norway Got Talent at the age of 7 where she auditioned with Billie Holiday’s Gloomy Sunday. She went ahead to win the the big prize at the finals where she received 46% of the votes while the remaining 9 finalists combined received 54%. Angelina said she likes singing because she wants to bring joy and love to the whole world. One of her dreams from a very young age was to sing at the Nobel Peace Prize concert. She accomplished that at the age of 8 singing Louis Armstrong’s What a Wonderful World. After winning NGT, she was flooded with offers from major music labels as well as Disney but they were all turned down by her and her family in order for her to continue her education and to protect her artistic integrity. Her uncle/manager in an interview last year he talked about music labels top executives who would fly to Norway on private jets with huge contracts offers but would leave mad and frustrated because they never expected being turned down. Angelina is fluent in Norwegian as well as in English. She also speaks some Swedish which is very close to Norwegian and probably learned it from her father. She also speaks Farsi which she learned from her grandmother as well as some Japanese that she picked up from her grandfather as well as her mom and uncle who lived for a period of time in Japan. She actually performed a Japanese song at a concert in Japan. Most of her performances after NGT were for charitable children organizations where she helped to raise millions. At the age of 6 and while travelling in another country with her family, she came across a young orphaned shoeless girl who was weighing people on a bathroom scale for some coins in order to support herself and her siblings. After chatting with her for a while and without prompting from her family, she gave her shoes to the orphan girl. She recorded that incident in her diary and vowed to always sing barefoot when doing that in public to remember that girl and to remind herself and us about the many needy children around the world. At the age of 9 she wrote and published a book about that encounter making her Norway’s youngest published author. Proceeds from that book are donated to children charities. Angelina Jordan has about 140 songs in her repertoire. Late last year she signed with Republic Records as their highest priority new artist. Her versatility is unmatched. Audition age was 7 yrs. old, singing Billie Holiday’s “Gloomy Sunday.” By end of competition, age 8, and she sang “Summertime.” All songs she sang in the competition are listening-worthy. Angelina knew she was never going to win the show; I'm not sure she wanted to. But she did accomplish what she set out to do and that was to break on to the American scene in a very big way. That did that in spades.

Her performance of Summertime at age 8 in the final of Norway's got talent is phenomenal. As is her cover of Screamin' Jay Hawkins' I Put a Spell on You aged 9 (black and white version).

Angelina was 13 years old at this performance, and she does all of arrangements, and picks which songs to sing. She entered the Norway’s Got Talent competition at age 7, and just turned 8, with her last song, Summertime when she won. you will find that many of your covers are better than the original when she sings the songs it becomes clear for the first time what the lyrics mean. i don't know anyone who can convey as much emotions as angelina, the nice problem is that you get addicted

Thanks for your reaction to Angelina. She deserves all the attention she can get, not just because of her immense talent but also for her charity and humility. It's hard to recommend another song because they are all so good. Her songs from her early days such as on Norway Got Talent are sensation because it shows how much of a prodigy she was at 7-8 years old. But then she has continued to improve and her recent original songs have intelligent lyrics and are wonderfully performed. For the most part, her live performances are better contrary to normal expectations because many in her home-produced songs are off the cuff and less rearranged and rehearsed. But the one song everyone should hear is her 9-year-old performance of "I Put a Spell on You" (in black and white) because it defies any expectations you could possibly have. I have never seen anyone who wasn't totally gobsmacked by it even if they were already familiar with Angelina's other songs. The emotion Angelina conveys, IMO, is far greater than any other in my 62 years. Please take the time to read the biography I compiled for her. Born Angelina Jordan Astar on January 10, 2006 in Oslo, Norway to her Norwegian mother, Sara Astar and her Swedish father, Gerry Christian Slattman, who has chosen to keep his life private. Angelina started singing around 18 months of age after listening to Whitney Houston on RU-vid. She quickly became obsessed with listening to music videos and her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani got Angelina interested in classic jazz. Mery Zamani is Iranian and was considered a prodigy as an artist and poet and married a Japanese man who passed away in 2019. Angelina speaks Norwegian, Farsi, English, Japanese and Swedish. Angelina attended the Oslo Waldorf School and participated in the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program, where she received vocal training starting around age 4. Angelina plays the piano, violin, guitar and flute and also paints. More recently she along with her grandmother have designed and made the clothing she wears on stage. Why Angelina always performs barefoot. You have not heard of her because she is young (still only 15) and well protected by those close to her. I've heard lots of her covers and originals but, like many of those who react to her find, you never get used to that moment when her voice kicks in. You think you know how good she is, yet the surprises and chills just keep on coming. She is unlike every other child singer I've heard. not sure this you know but Angelina copyrighted and release her "Bohemian Rhapsody". Now on all major streaming services and Amazon. She now a number of more recent songs that she has released, along with 2 originals with Republic Records, where she signed in Dec 2020, and a few awesome covers released after her signing. Of course, yes her "I put a spell on you " cover (at age 9) is legendary. Would be great to see more reactions to this amazing talent and person.

Thank you gentlemen for getting to Angelina so fast!! Angelina is 13 here. Angelina arranged this herself as she has all of her songs since performing "Summertime" on Norway's Got Talent (NGT) at 8. There are videos showing her explaining to the trumpet player how she wants him to play it. This girl is a child prodigy that has devoured jazz since 3 years old. Many people hear Amy Winehouse in her voice, others hear Adele and she has covered 5 Amy songs and 5 Adele songs. Once you've listened to a few of her songs you will hear hints of many artists in her voice. She said at 8 that singing was like breathing to her. Almost 150 videos to view from 6 years old to now 15 and each one a gem. Please read Andy Schnell's comment for a bio and esp. the reason she sings barefoot, it's quite moving. After winning NGT at 8 she traveled the world including Europe, Asia and America mostly performing charity events to benefit needy children and has helped raise millions for children's charities. By the time she did AGT at 13 she was already a seasoned professional. Many fans will ask for "I PUT A SPELL ON YOU" black and white version at 9 years and 2 months old. It is a stunner but I believe her 10 year old performance of "FEELING GOOD, Live on the Stream Gir Tilbake" is even more sensational.
