I often wonder what it must be like to be twelve years old and wake up every morning knowing you can sing like this.

Bob what amazes me is Angelina at 3 years old knew what her path in life was going to be and then started preparing for it. Not to many children make a commitment at that age and stick to it. People seem to forget that her only training in voice has been an after school program from Oslo school of music and performing art and at age 12 moved to the States where she attends a regular high school. There’s no apparent vocal coach involved. Think about after you spent a day in school and all your friends are out playing you’re still in school learning your craft, not by force but by choice. To be able to embark on a world wide tour at age 8 is insane. Between the ages of 8 and 12 Angelina traveled to more countries than most people will in a lifetime, performing in concerts and shows. Her team (grandmother, mother and uncle) have protected, guided, and nurtured Angelina since she was born unique in itself because there choices have always been out of love rather than monetary.

This particular video stands alone because of the affect it has had on everyone who listens to it. No matter how many Angelina video's someone may have heard, while they are listening to this the listener realizes the greatness of Angelina. What an absolute joy it is to sit back and enjoy her. Thanks, Bob, for your spot on, bright reaction. Not a shade of darkness and always very genuine and I appreciate that.

Just your average middle school girl home after school. Puts on a backing track and sings. No big deal to her. As one reactor said she probably went out side afterwards and played tag. You don't need to say anything. The look on your face says it all. No matter how much you have heard. It is the astonished look. Everytime.

It is so refreshing to hear a reactor/analyst reject the idiotic claims that Angelina has a "wheelhouse" she should stay in. I've even heard reactors who claim to be vocal coaches say things like that. They listen to 2-3 performances and think they have Angelina all ready to box up and categorize and they never react to her again. They are small-minded people who can't conceive of a talent or ability which far exceeds their own. Sorry for the rant. It's just that I really appreciate your insightful comments and would love it if more reactors could approach Angelina's presence with the requisite humility and awareness you display.

Michelangelo spent his first creative years in apprenticeships, emulating his contemporary greats with much talent. Then he came to his own and all was fused into a unique genius complexion. It is thrilling to see similar evolution with Angelina. Wonderful!

Angelina was born with a knowledge of music that I believe few others have. I'd go as far as to call her a genius. Her family deserves a lot of the credit in keeping her on the strait and narrow. Combine her genius with the family she was born into and just the goodness that emits from her and you have someone that everyone can look up to and admire.

Angelina and her closest, decided early on that she would have as normal a childhood as possible. Even when she won NGT, 8 years old, many wanted to sign a contract. Everyone was dismissed! Even Disney. When it comes to the actual training and choice of songs etc., it has always been Angelina who made all the choices and decisions. Parents and others, on the other hand, have asked her to take it a little easier sometimes. Angelina is very special and her own driving force. Ever since she was 3-4 years old! Of course, all relatives and frends, have helped and protected her.

Hi Bob, I think Angelina lets her voice sound a bit rougher than Lana Del Ray does. This will allow you to recognize Angelina. Angelina also has that deep voice that the song needs. Angelina has 1000 voices. I think it's good that she didn't change anything or very little about the song. It's a very beautiful song. Jazz is her music and Angelina will certainly continue in this direction. But she can sing anything and like you said it doesn't sound good, it sounds great. Hi buddy - great reaction. If you thought this was good, watching her in Norway at her concert on the 10th was unbelievable. Have been to many concerts - I'm an old git, even saw David Bowie in concert when he first started out. But nothing prepared me emotionally for what she did in concert. She was crying (being so happy to be back on stage) and so was most of the audience.

Angelina grew up singing Jazz and this is obviously her favorite genre, the biggest influence, the origination of her versatility, deep soulful expression and deep emotional connection to her audience. She can sing any song and any genre. ♥👣 She is absolutely fearless in choice of covers. No artist is too big and no song too daunting. Most Artists shy away from singing Acappella as it will quickly show any flaws. Another Angelina performance that I think you might enjoy is her cover of the Avicii song - Wake Me Up. Not sure if you've heard the original - (the official video has over 2 billion views) - but if not, you need to listen to it before hearing Angelina's cover. And the seemingly mis-proportion between her age and her voice is just ONE dimension to what makes her so special. I don't really feel like elaborating on that statement, because I think that everyone who has listened to her for some time does know where the statement comes from. I'm not sure if I've told you already, but on July 10th I got to see her in concert here in Norway. This was her first time in her home country in almost three years, due to the pandemic. It was also her first time on stage during that period. Last time she was on stage was on America's Got Talent when she was 13. She was scheduled to hold a concert in 2020, but that got cancelled ofc. So this year she came over and did the postponed concert plus two more, before she leaves for Japan to do a concert there. She speaks Japanese, so that should be a breeze. She's done THAT before, too. One of her concerts were performed at one of the world's most renowned jazz festivals, called Kongsberg Jazz Festival. She has performed there quite a few times earlier, too. The last concert she held was an extra-concert because of the high demand from her fans, and I got tickets. Although I have been following her very closely since she was 7 years old, there is absolutely nothing in this world that could have prepared me for the experience I had in store that night. I just have to tell you that it by FAR was THE musical experience of my life. She really is that good. Now, here comes the interesting part : You see, one of her fans, a Swedish man by the name Mattias Axelsson, recorded and uploaded ALL of her performances from that concert on his channel. Those videos are by far the best ones out there that I have seen (and I have seen them all, believe me...LOL ) They have great video (4K UHD) and great sound, it feels almost like being there. I would know 🙂 I just took the effort of compiling those recordings and made a list of them. I really think you should consider having a look at them. If you do, please go to his channel and give him a like. He really deserves that, and I know that you will agree. That little vibrato thing she does occasionally, I heard it called a 'goat vibrato', just really gets me. If you imitate how a goat sounds, that is kind of what she's doing, only perfectly controlled. Have you listened to Angelina's 'Song For A' or 'La Boheme', or 'Above The Water'? These songs show whole sides to her you don't expect, coming from a 'Jazz' background.

If you where to ask me what is my favorite song by her I'd have to say it's this one !! But that's like asking me of all the breaths iv taken witch was my favorite! She is so unique in her approach to all she does! As always another great reaction sir ! Go Angelina !!!!!!!

Spot on, Lana needs to not watch out, but hook up for a performance with Angelina for this song and Young and Beautiful. Lana’s songs are limited in range as is her voice. Her songs are wonderful, but a bit repetitious. Angelina adds warmth and emotion along with her jazz influences of rasp, pause, tempo, and vibrato. Thank you!
