Absolutely what I expected. She made this her own song and she did it beautifully. I noticed Juliet sitting there she is going to be as beautiful as Angelina one day. Elvis' version is great, and it still is one of my favorites. but Angelina's version is equally great and is definitely her own. When I first heard this song I loved it and put it at #3 on my playlist (Angelina Jordan Playlist by Terry M.), about midday I moved it up to #1. The main thing that changed my mind was the power in her voice. I'm not talking about loudness I'm talking about the power she has regardless of how loud or soft she sings. This is a quality that I haven't heard from anyone in my 82 years. This voice has become so unique that it is totally unmatched. Her phrasing in the last bridge is great. And she got Elvis’s ‘Oh Yea’ at the end of the song. The pianist is Rob Christie (3 Grammys), he is the head of the Republic Record department that is responsible for Angelina and other singers. The two small kids are her uncle Mike's kids, and the older girl is Angelina's sister. Angelina sent me to you two, 8 days ago. I just Subscribed! This was Released June 22, 2022❗️By Nov over 3M RU-vid views on RU-vid alone! Angelina starts off with the bridge, completely different than anyone else; and then, begins with the opening line of the song. Her Bee hive hairdo is an homage to Priscilla…Many photographs of her hair, exactly like that. And a Leather outfit he later wore. The guitar is the Elvis‘s 1968 “Comeback” Guitar! Rob Christe actually owns this. The two young children are her cousins, her Uncle Michael’s children, the older girl is her sister Juliette. She even had a framed photo of Elvis, at this location. Rob Christie on piano ok.🌺

Funfact is, the guitar she hold belongs to her pianist, who is the studio boss of Republic Records LA. He confirmed in a interview, so it seems, this is the original Guitar Elvis Presley played in 1968 or 1969. You have to trust a 16 year old girl with THAT guitar. Peace

I've been listening to Angelina every day for almost three years now, and I still react to her the way you guys did in this video. Her voice is so electric that it just never gets old. I hope you have the chance to listen to her with headphones, because she sounds even more amazing through headphones, believe it or not.

Those first notes reach right into your soul and seize you. I've heard her sing this dozens of times now and I still get goosebumps at the start of this song by Angelina. She's so special.

I knew you were going to be blown away as soon as she opened her mouth and delivered that first chorus. She hits you like a ton of bricks with that incredible power and velvet perfection! She is known as the girl with a thousand voices. This is very recent from this spring. It is my new favorite at the top of my list of dozens of favorites. She will be 17 yrs old January 10th. Yeah! She’s something special, isn’t she? Power & Pure Velvet Perfection! This vocal arrangement was all Angelina, I have no doubt in collaboration with a stellar team including Rob Christie & Mery Zamani her Grandmother. She is a Master Storyteller. The video is shot in the same Antique Store that she did 'My Funny Valentine' on Valentine’s Day. I believe it is in LA near her home. I believe the girls in the video represent Angelina's Journey from infancy to present through the classics of music history. Thus the Antique store, She grew up studying and performing these classics. Did you notice that right foot raise it''s heal to cradle the guitar a couple of times in the performance. I was waiting for her to throw in a little shake to it in homage to the King. Could that have been intentional? That is Rob Christie on piano. Si ster Juliette and a couple of Uncle Michael's Babies. I think that makes them cousins not nieces. Full Black Leather Bodysuit, the guitar from his concert in 68 and the hair a homage to Priscilla Presley. Yeah! She can bring tears to your eyes. I base my interpretation on my knowledge of Angelina's journey from an 18 month old little girl singing a "classic" of music history 'I Will Always Love You' . She has been listening to these classics on repeat on YOUTube since then under the guidance and inspiration of her Grandmother Mery Zamani. She has been performing these classics since her first time in studio at 6 yrs old.. She has continued this journey through her 1st introduction to the world with her "Classic'" 'Gloomy Sunday’ and following with her many performances at her many Jazz Festivals, TV performances, Concerts, and charity events, studio recordings and practice sessions at home accompanied or not. The location in the Antique store represents these classics (like the furniture) of another era. To me she portrays wonder at all these classics surrounding her. as she has travelled this road. Her tribute to Elvis is at her present age, today, each stage represented by her cousins and sister and ending with Angelina herself on the couch still admiring all this history surrounding her. The beautiful rendition of the song, and other tributes are in the leather outfit, Guitar and hair a tribute to Priscilla. Just my interpretation but it makes the most sense to me. ♥👣👸🏻

This Elvis tribute, one of her favorite mentors, had so much symbolism. Angelina is very symbolic with her tributes. In this, her deep opening voice, tone and inflections reminding us of Elvis, the gold symbolizing his wealth, the chandeliers for his extravagance, her black suit and red guitar after his 68 Comeback Special, her Priscilla hair, the piano player red suit after the way his band dressed. She always focuses on the integrity of the song, not on herself or a self image, but on the original emotional intent of the lyrics. She does this brilliantly.

She’s a beautiful awesome singer. I saw her first on Norway’s Got Talent. Watching her grow in her craft has been rich. Great reaction

Tiny Little Girl Our tiny little girl with the grownup voice will be 17 on Jan. 10, 23 and is now 6'1" tall and could be a super model, but I hope the major portion of her career will be dedicated to her music and taking the world to a better place. I don't think she even realizes this power she holds over us and the need to hear that signature voice to fill that empty void within all of us. Angelina Jordan is in fact the "Benchmark" for all other vocalist to try as they might to achieve.

Love your reaction. Angelina will turn 17 on January 10, 2023. She will graduate high school in the spring of that year. With school behind her, Angelina will be stepping out into her professional music career. Angelina has also been working with Republic Records on her next album, the first with Republic. But we will have to wait for it, as it's likely timed to coincide with her graduation. Fun facts: The two younger girls are her Uncle Michael's kids. The older is Angelina's sister, Juliette, who would have been around ~10 the time. Juliette has cameo appearances in two other official music videos. These are "Valerie," shot on Venice Beach California," and "Million Miles," where Juliette plays the part of a young Angelina at the time of their grandfather's death.

You two are becoming my favorite Angelina reactors. We can see it on your faces that you absolutely love everything you hear, and I for one love that you don't stop and comment every 30 seconds, but we can still see how the song affects you by not knowing what to do with your hands, or the brother on the right that had his hand over his face at the 3:23 mark and we could still see the smile in his eyes. For me, this is what I look for in a 'reaction' video. Three Angelina videos reacted to so far, and only about 170 or so, more to go, and all of them are worth watching. The baby and very little girl are Angelina's cousins - the pre-teen girl is Angelina's sister Juliette. The piano player is Rob Christie, Director of the Republic Records studio in Los Angeles - which is the record label that Angelina is signed with.

Thank you for returning to Angelina. Your reactions to her performances are always worth watching. The song was written by Mark James, an American singer/songwriter, who recorded it the year it was written. The best known version, however, was that done by Elvis Presley. It was his last No 1 song. In the Wikipedia entry of the origins of the song, Mark James is said to have remarked "That late one night, he was fooling around on his Fender guitar and using his Hammond organ pedals for a bass line and came up with what he thought was a catchy melody. At the time, he was married to his first wife but still had feelings for his childhood sweetheart, who was married back in Houston. James's wife had suspicions about his feelings. He felt it was a confusing time for him and that all three were "caught in this trap that they could not walk out of." Other singers covering this song invariably base their performance on that of Elvis, in that it is very "upbeat". Angelina took a very different path in that she read and understood the lyrics and what Mark James intended when writing them . To my mind, her rendition is much truer to the emotions of the song. The children appearing in the video were Angelina's cousins Aurora (first) and then Athena - daughters of her uncle Michael Astar, and then her sister Juliette. I would hazard a guess that they were included to emphasise that children are very important to Angelina and her family. Confession! I have never been a great fan of Elvis Presley, although I do like some of his earlier recordings, and I had never heard of the song "Suspicious minds" but knew that Angelina would completely take ownership of it, and she did. It was beautiful. After listening to it several times, I decided to download the lyrics to see whether she kept to the original structure. She didn't, and the song is all the better for it. For me, that she started with the Bridge of the song is very significant and, I feel, very indicative of Angelina's "up front" transparency. She was declaring that it was important that their love did not die, and then carries on to say why she feels as she does. Others first say how they feel and then, almost as an afterthought, assure their love they don't want it to end. For me, it is whether I feel the singer is genuine about the situation and wishes it could be resolved or whether the singer understands the situation but thinks the blame is on her/his partner but feels the need to assure them they don't want it to end (until somebody else comes along).

The Queen paid homage to the King. Everything from Angelina’s and pianist, Rob Christie’s wardrobes, this performance and this video production pays homage to Elvis’ 1968 Come Back Special. Angelina’s bee hive hair style is a tribute to Elvis’ wife, Priscilla’s hair style she wore at that time. This interpretation of song writer, Mark James’ song is what he intended it to be.

Awesome reaction and I've always said, "She is the female version of Elvis for this generation! She has the same Charisma as him and everybody in awe of her when she enters a room. Interesting coincidences, both born in January, both 6' tall, a giving heart, Love of people, and a Beautiful Unique Tone, when they sing.
