I love this version of the song, which was her explicit gift to fans during her online concert for Christmas 2021. For me it is an interpretation, even more moving than the original one by Lauren Daigle who won a Grammy with this song and she is a fantastic singer-songwriter of Christian music. I am sure that I will die long before this girl stops surprising me with what she is capable of doing and imagining, for me Angelina is a gift and a sort of dream that has lasted for 10 years and continues to move me and fill me with joy every time that I listen to it. 💛🧡❤
Angelina is without doubt the greatest of all time, male or female. Blind Freddie could see this. Lauren Daigle is equally as impressive with this song. I do not rate Angelina higher then Lauren on this but at least her equal. When you look at the diversity and what Angelina actually does you realise what an outstanding individual she is.

This is a beautiful song for Angelina to have on any album. I love both these ladies, Lauren and Angelina, but am terribly biased towards Angelina. Lauren Daigle wrote this beautiful song and sang it beautifully. But my soul is invested in Angelina. She already has my heart and my prejudice makes it impossible to critique their differences. I simply won't. This song deserves love an introspection, not competition. I am thankful these two young ladies are in my life.

In my opinion, yes. My mother was a big Elvis fan when I was growing up and I heard a LOT of him. He was credited with writing every song that he sang that wasn't a cover, but he wasn't actually involved. It was in his contract that any songs written for him, had to list him as one of the writers.

I'm Black and I absolutely knew, "I will always love you!" was Dolly Parton's song. I've been a major Dolly fan since I was a kid. Whitney had amazing vocals on the song. Dolly wrote the song as a farewell to Porter Wagoner after she decided to leave the show. Dolly's version was a lot more heartfelt and simple. Both versions are amazing but Dolly's version is my favorite.
The thing that makes Dolly's version so powerful is how it played out as a farewell to Porter. He knew that she was the best thing that happened in his career, and he was obsessive about keeping her. This song broke his spirit and he realized that he had to release her. That real story is both heartbreaking and uplifting. That said, it's difficult to deny the vocal performance of Whitney. In case you haven't heard young 11 yo Angelina's version, it's also Wonderful. She's just messing around with her friend Egil on guitar. It's very raw, but also very warm and touching. It's interesting that you use "I Have Nothing" as an example. Whitney's studio version is amazing. Taking nothing from her, Angelina's 1 take live studio version brings a raw perfection that Whitney didn't provide in the studio. I've listened to Whitney live as well. She was great for sure, but she was performing to the audience vs. pouring her heart into the song. Angelina disappears into the song, and you can feel it. For most, Whitney is untouchable. For Angelina, just another walk in the park.

Angelina dedicated the performance to her fans and a few of them twisted that to mean she was so needy that she actually means she is only able to find worth and identity through people she doesn't know and is dependent upon strangers for her validation. BTW, the number of fans who did what I said they did in my comment, is very few. At times, it's virtually impossible to be sure if Lauren or Angelina is singing. Whenever Angelina decides to stay 'spot on' with another artist, her 'vocal chameleon' ability to emulate any vocals she desires. In truth, Angelina's low register singing is more pronounced than Lauren, and she does have the ability to bring forth more power, even though she decides to harness it to a large degree here. Lauren's original is beautiful, for sure,.....................but there's only one Angelina !

The 1938 jazz standard that has been performed by hundreds of artists through the years, and has been included in just as many albums. BUT..... No one has done the song better than Angelina at VERY young 16, possibly still 15. She dropped the song on Valentine's Day in 2022 (February 14th) and her birthday is Jan 10th. You won't believe your ears, my friend! I would REALLY love if you could give it a go, preferably with a headset on😉 If there is ONE performance by her (there are many) that deserves a nice headset, THAT'S the one. Sure Whitney's version of I Will Always Love You was loud and powerful; but Dolly's version is more appropriate for the message and sentiment of the song. Better in that regard.

While I do like Angelina's performance of this wonderful song better than any other, Lauren is in no way threatened by Angelina or anyone else. Lauren's version has 326 Million views on YT. And Lauren's voice is more similar to Angelina's than any that I have heard. Both are Fantastic!! But because I am so in Love with Angelina's voice, I almost always like her version more than of any song she is covering.
I was responding to the part where he implied that people should be worried when Angelina decides to cover their song, because Angelina's version is almost always better. And while I agree that her version is almost always better, I don't think Lauren or Adele and others need to feel threatened. Actually, I would hope they feel honored that someone as talented as Angelina choose their song to cover. And I think they probably do. I’m glad I already knew the words to this song because otherwise I sure wouldn’t know them after listening to this version. In my opinion this was a terrible cover. The original by Lauren Daigle is so much better. This girl has a beautiful voice, it’s just a shame that most of the words were not understandable.
