Been a fan of this young lady for about ten years now. My Daughter caught her at age 6 singing at a music festival and called me to have me listen to her. It was like 1 AM here and I thought my kid had been hurt but no, She was just so taken aback by her that she did not even realize what time it was for me. To this day Me and my daughter have all her woks and even her book. I got to meet her recently before catching her live. Its fascinating to watch her transition from the somewhat shy family oriented big sister and loving daughter then as she approaches the mic a calm settles over her and she turns in to a Consumat Professional who loves her craft and sharing it with her fans.
That’s awesome and so similar to my story with how I found Angelina… my daughter was in high school and living at home when she showed me the NGT shows. We finally got to see her at the Music Hall in Portsmouth NH, ten years after our introduction to that little girl.
First time I have ever heard of Angelina as watching this performance. Three years later and I'm convinced this young lady, now 17 years old, is going to be the biggest singer ever. Her range and power is crazy, but it's her storytelling when she sings that makes her stand out from the crowd. I wasn't too sure at first, but the more you listen from her, the more you realize she is on another level when it comes to singers. I've listened to music for many years and have a lot of favorite singers, but this young lady has overtaken them as my number one favorite and I don't say that lightly. Angelina is the real deal!

Had anyone told my 40 years ago that when I was 69 my favorite singer would be a 17 year old girl, I would have laughed, but here we are. From her first time in a studio at 6 years old until today, she touches me. OH!!! You REALLY need to check her version of "How Great Thou Art". She sings it in the same key as Elvis. *Why Angelina always performs barefoot* At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road, asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true. Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate. This girl is the GOAT! She has an absolute jazz soul. She can sing practically any genre, but jazz and R&B is in her blood. Keep checking out her catalog on RU-vid, you won't be disappointed.

He has 2 medical degrees and does this in his spare time, which isn't a lot of time. I think you'll enjoy his channel and the many subjects he covers in his Playlist.

I have a feeling the previous song you heard her sing was 'I Put A Spell On You' at 9 years old and, after listening to this when she was 13, can you in your wildest imagination realize what you have missed? She is now 17 and although she is internationally famous her popularity is about to explode big time because the shield her family has had around her since she was 7 years old is coming off and she will be on her way to reaching every human being on planet Earth with her music and with her love. Yes, she is all about love. I know you enjoyed her performance very, very much and did you feel her presence stirring around inside you? Goosebumps, tearing up (with the urge to cry) and finding it difficult to speak during or right after she performs are indications her love has touched your heart and once there, it will never leave. I am a 70's girl. I graduated high school in "76 and I have not become a fan of many "modern" artists, but I am a HUGE fan of Angelina's. She is so talented and such a good person. Being an amazing singer, as well as designing clothes and being an artist. So much talent in one person.
Great reaction. Angelina started with jazz after being introduced to it at a very early age by her grandmother who was a big jazz fan. By age 3 Angelina was studying the jazz greats from RU-vid videos. Billie Holiday was her biggest early influence. She performed 2 Billie Holiday songs on Norway’s Got Talent. She studied music at an after school program at her school but never had any formal vocal training. As far as we know she’s never had a vocal coach and the only vocal instruction was for how to protect her voice. I believe her mother said they were afraid a coach would change the way she sings. Some coaches teach you to sing like them.
The remaining members of Queen were so impressed they posted Wow what a petformance and then gave her the copyright to her version. To me that says that they realized her version was a totally different and unique version from the one they and Freddie did and not just some copy cat version of theirs.

I believe if I remember Angelina went to a very good music school in Norway growing up as a young kid. But besides the few times she was on a show or two she has been mostly self taught (perfected) her craft. As soon as she could talk she was singing. And she spends a good 6 hrs a day, 6 days a week on her music. And now that Tepublic Records has built AJs own private music studio, its game on!
She has learned complete vocal control by flexing her voice and adopting vocal characteristics of all the great singers songs as she grew...and we got to watch her do it. The first clip we see of her singing with a mike is baby Angelina 18 months old. The head goes back the eyes shut little arm goes out...perfect diva pose.....none of her family are singers or musicians. Made me consider reincarnation.
I love this girl so much!! I've seen this easily 75 times .. just watching again .. or watching with someone that I think would like her. I love that Simon didn't ask her what song she was singing .. so after the first phrase or so, the audience got that it was Freddie Mercury's song and went nuts .. after that you could hear a pin drop. She is magnificent. She was labeled a child prodigy as a child. At the age of 2 (yup .. TWO) her Grandma showed her how to work RU-vid and she would pull up all the Jazz greats. BILLIE Holiday was her favorite and she would listen over and over and over to a single phrase and then try to make the sounds Billie was making and listened over and over to a little piece and repeat and repeat until she felt she knew how Billie was working her throat etc.. so ... in reality and regarding "training" .. this young lady taught herself to sing from the inside out .. using all the Jazz greats (male and female) cause jazz was her favorite music and she taught herself how to use her vocal chords to make the Jazz sounds she loved so much. There is a video of her at 6 yrs okd .. first time in a studio .. and she sang "I HAVE NOTHING". A totally amazing as well as delightful video. Her Grandma is taking the video. Grandma Mery actually became her videographer for many many years ... She is 17 now and just put out her first EP with two videos and four extraordinary songs that are "visualizers" ... everything on the EP was written by her .. music and words .. and since she is now signed with Republic Records, I'm sure she had writers going thru all the songs with her .. editing or whatever. THOSE FOUR SONGS are nothing short of brilliant and we really get to see who she's become. She is 17 now . Truly Amazin g. Do watch the videos .. but the visualizers are FIRE .. my 2 favorite are GOOD IN GOODBYES and DIAMOND. All four visualizers are totally worthy .. but those two .. well .. you'll see ... Patricia, I've always loved that Angelina basically learned at Billie's knee. And it makes me wonder if - some years hence - some little girl will do the same sort of thing, but with Angelina's singing as her focus. She's sooo talented that we may never see her like again, but she's also so true and good and inspirational that I expect she'll have a huge and positive effect on a few generations of young girls. 👼

The title track of this EP "Love Don't Let Me Go" has over 3 million views in 4 months. The epic Bohemian Rhapsody has collected approx. 150 million views in 3 years. That's not bad for a 17-year-old artist. The record label will start marketing when her full album comes out later this year, with subsequent tours. PS! Angelina will always be a class artist and a future world star, and not a hit machine for 14 year old teenagers!

At 5, Angelina was taking after-school Music Theory lessons. She was learning how to deconstruct and rearrange music. I have videos of Angelina starting to arrange her own chosen music at 8 years old, ie. “Summertime” She never had a vocal coach !😇🌺

I've been following Angelina Jordan since she won Norway's Got Talent in 2014. This reaction of yours was one of the best I've experienced. For me time stops when she sings. She has a special giift to connect to my soul and my emotions when she sings. She has a way with music, singing it and arranging and composing it to make me want more. Most talented singer I've heard in my life of nearly 70 years. She is pure joy!
