As much as I love blink-182, I'll always like Angels and Airwaves just as much, if not more. They have more meaning in their songs, and the music is just genius.
Now that I've been observing Blink-182 for such a long time and after release of 'California' I can totally say that Tom was singing Blink songs as intros to his AVA songs as an illustration of what Blink could become in the first place. And only then because he missed Mark and Travis.
Mark wrote better songs in Blink-182 before California, but what Mark had in +44 and Blink-182 after California are nowhere near Angels and Airwaves, Box Car Racer and Tom's solo. It's fair. Both are great but each shines in different era.
The audience actually went nuts. Literally everybody was singing. But you could tell the audience wasn’t mixed. He even said “you’re making me smile” everybody was signing along.
Bonawah • No one was singing, you can tell cuz of how he says “come on” so irritated at 2:58. He started smiling at the earlier point because of how he kinda messed up the words in the moment.
it's been 6 years I listen to AVA all day... they are the reason I'm still here, and through this video we can see how much it is a beautiful band... a beautiful idea...

This is one of my favorite videos on the internet. You cant help but smile all throughout it. Especially during Blink's song. You just gotta smile when he says "It makes me smile." Great video!

Saw angels and airwaves on March 5th 2012, it was the best night of my life was only 12m away from them, our mosh pit was decent and all of us knew every word to every song. Felt like being part of a movement :)
Yes Tom is playing the same notes that David Kennedy plays in the adventure when Tom sings "Hey oh here I am, and here we go life's waiting...". Just manipulated a little differently.
i come to this video every week and think what a bunch of pricks he's just made look a fool. If anyone asks me what my favourite song is i say The Adventure Live in KROQ in 2006. It's played with such passion, and with the big sound they had when they started. can't express to someone how good it feels to watch this video. pity that it misses out the bridge though :/ By IAVAIN +1
This right here and the Self-titled blink album was everyone's peak, doesn't matter if its Tom, Mark, or Travis. +44 and AVA. I'm glad blink's back and all, may the legacy continue to live.
he wrote this song, he had the right to sing it. If you look at +44 Mark played/sung dammit, what's my age again and rock show....all of which he wrote.

he left blink because he wanted to be with family, he still wanted to make music but he was tired of touring and didn't wanna go straight back to the straight to the studio, and even still he loves blink always have always will.
it is mainly played on the D and G strings. he starts off D9 and then like G11 a bunch of times. He really doesn't move his pinky from G11. The other notes on the D string are D6 and D8. It's a pretty simple riff. Just play around with those notes to match him. I hope I helped.
