ANGELS OF VENGEANCE Successor Chapters of Space Marines in Warhammer 40000 A straight reading of the lore from the 8th edition Dark Angels Codex. This has been done as a sleeping or hobbying prop and due to the new codices not having this information contained within it. Not for everyone, but a useful video I hope. I find lots of little details in them make it more entertaining than one might think. Mr baldermort we all know in due time you will becoming big enough to hire artist dont get down on yourself man you're one of the best lore guys out there and I know you're gonna be one of the biggest channels out there one of these days
Man I love the Dark Angels and their successors for none can match the strength of the fighting first. Truly the First legion will always be my favorite loyalist space marine army thank you for giving us more lore on them good sir
As a loyal son of Vulkan, I would LOVE a video about the Dark Krakens; they have quickly become one of my favorite successor chapters with all the new lore they're getting due to Octarius!
I would say The Wolfspear. The sons of fenris had only a single successor with the second founding, the Wolf Brothers (I believe thats what they were called), until the gift of the primaris space marines, so it would be a rather unique entry.
The Angels of Vengeance has always been my favorite successor chapter. Been a Dark Angels player since 3rd, and I've always wanted an AoV army. Maybe I'll do just that. Once I'm done with my personal chapter, anyway. As for the next successor chapter video. I would humbly request the Howling Griffons, please.
The Dark Angels are by far the most powerful of the former legions and they and their successors have proven that they are worthy of their pride and honor, and while they are haunt by the sin of their traitorous brothers they continue to serve the Imperium with honor that shine their grim demeanor.
makes you wonder who would win between the dark angels and all their successors or the ultramarines and all of theirs, on one hand the ultramarines have an insane amount of marines easily more than double the dark angels, however guilliman isnt a tactician like the lion, and isnt as capable of a fighter even against an aged lion. the dark angels have all their dark age weaponry, and on average are just better fighters, the deathwing alone would probably annihilate entire chapters, the lion having the fallen and his forest walk being able to just bring forces to a flank completely outmaneuvering the ultras, and as shown quite often marines tend to lose focus of what they should actually do, when their primarch is in danger so if lion ever reaches guilliman the ultras will definitly panic and make mistakes, while the dark angels will have faith their primarch can keep himself safe
While I believe they have only recently been confirmed to be a Salamanders Successor Chapter, I have long had a love for The Black Dragons and would love to hear your take on them. Cheers Good Storyteller.
Could not have come at a more perfect time. Had to deal with a breakup yesterday and I'm mad, sad and all kinds of things. Nothing like some good lore and the soothing voice of Baldemort to make me feel better. Thanks for continuing to post videos, they are always a good time and leave me feeling good
Sorry to hear that. I hope you manage all the usual clichés, chin up etc. I know they don’t really help, but knowing that people want you to be okay is worth something, and we do.
Thanks all of you for your kind words. It definitely brightened my day, and it's clear Uncle Baldemort has created quite the awsome community. Thank you all for being awesome and keep at it :)
If this does well; I'd love to see you cover The Novamarines chapter! They're one I really like for their lore and colour scheme who have roots going back to the Horus Heresy and Second Founding. Thank you for reading this Brother Baldermort after yet another execellent entry!
Thank you for sharing this, i’m interested in learning more about the sisters of battle, The sisters Repente and the order of the bloody rose. Learning about them took my gaming to a new level recently. I used to only play games on easy or normal, after learning how the sisters of battle fight I have completely changed. Hardest difficulty, no armor, no health items, one big sword and a lot of faith. Super fun!!! I’m replaying games I haven’t played in years, sisters of battle are amazing! If you’re looking to challenge yourself in other games and modes. Highly recommending adopting that type of game style if you’re willing to admit you need to put down the games and go outside and watch birds to calm down or go do the dishes or something. Anyways, enjoy your show thanks 🙏
I hope you become big enough to make these videos as you envision them! I know they are not a chapter, but what I most liked was the video about the solitaires, hope to hear more stories in your voice about them. 😁
I think an interesting Successor Chapter to cover would be the tragic story of the Blood Angels Successor chapter, the Knights of Blood, who died, but were redeemed, during the Devastation of Baal.
Don't worry about the lack of proper art work Baldy. I mostly listen, and when I do watch the videos, the art work you have chosen enhances the essence of the theme you are presenting. Anyone that complains otherwise should move out a of their parents basement.
@@baldermort Indeed! They got an Index Astartes article about them. They got new interesting Lore! Unique Battle Tactics and they've now got a named Chapter Leader. High Jarl Irik Stianolf and their Great Companies are highly independent and known as "Jarldoms". The Wolfspear are "The Grimwolves". The Dark Terror favoured Erik Morkai and Logan Grimnar and they are casted like a Javelin deep into The Imperium Nihilus.
@@baldermort Also let's just say that The Majority of The Wolf Lords were extremely displeased by The new Primaris arrivals 😆 Thus Logan Grimnar issued "The Kin-Pack Declaration". Allowing non-Fenrisian Astartes to become fellow Wolves.
The Tome Keepers and their Babylonian inspiration would give a fantastic narrative you could weave, but no matter what Successor chapter you do, do make some time, for fun.
Soul drinkers? My purple brothers deserve it. I would adore it if you could do it. And you happen to do justice to any topic you touch upon and soul drinker videos tend to be rather lacking
I may be a Blood Angels fan, but I'm with Commander Dante on the Angels Vermillion. IMO, they are worse than the Flesh Tearers with how the Angels Vermillion deal with The Flaw. At least the Flesh Tearers don't want to kill civilians, it just happens. The Angels Vermillion wI'll Sacrifice you to take a bath.
A great video idea could be on The Emperor's Spears, the custom chapter of Aaron Dembski-Bowden? Even have their own book and some lovely art to go with them.
The steel confessors would make for a great video. They were a iron hands successor chapter who were made in secret by the mechincus as their own private force
My loyalist alpha legion successor chapter is underway I’ll be playing them as dark angels... perfect timing too just finished for the day I’d love to see a video on successors of the white scars... I know one of them was in the Badab war, but they’re all I know of currently
There's also the Dark Hunters, Border Prince narrated one of their short stories. I can't remember the name of the story, try typing "dark hunters short story" in whatever search engine you use. It's really good and shows how tough and damn near unstoppable the space marines are. If you find it, let me know what you think about it.
Also just to comment on what chapter next, any successors of the raven guard especially the space sharks, the concaradons I think they were called. There is an image of the chapter master that is awesome. Apparently he is so large his armour is made from modified dreadnought armour. They always seemed fascinating. Cheers for the above video Brother Baldermort, it was most excellent to have some Dark Angels content.
Thank you for the video. It was really great! I'd love to hear any lore on Sons of the Phoenix. I think it's an interesting name given that Fulgrim was the Primarch known as the Phoenix.
Personally enjoy lore videos like these. Getting to learn about successor chapters and learning just how many ones their are. Also Baldermort you keep putting out your content and you’ll get big enough or have a fan reach out that can draw.
I definitely feel an episode on The Minotaurs, from the Cursed Founding deserve an episode. The Anti-Astartes loyalist chapter, High Lord thugs. Spiritual successors to the Sons of Horus in their tactics and personality. A chapter master who may even be a perpetual.
I couldn't find anywhere else to make the comment so I just chose one of your videos I've been watching... Less talking more kronan :p thx keep up the good work
Red Talons (lots to tell there!) Dark Hunters, Raptors, Carcharodons, Mentors, Red Scorpions, Sons of the Phoenix, Charnel Guard, loyalist Crimson Sabres, and Minotaurs.
Personally I'd like to see one about the Novamarines. I don't know if they count as "obscure" since they play a fairly big part in the Dark Imperium books, but there's something about them and their colour scheme I just really like.
Great Lore, Brother B. I would like to see info on a favorite successor of the Raven Guard, The Raptors, a chapter that exemplifies the concept of "Work Smarter, Not Harder":)
I like this one. I know quite a bit about the big 18 and the handful of big name successors, but not so much about the rest of the successors. Would love more videos like this. As ever, thank you kindly for the work you do.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh lord baldamort looks on me with favor ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh by far best part of my day 👌👌👌👌👌👍👍👍👍👍😭😭😭😭
I believe you are referring to The Black Dragons. They’re a Salamanders Successor. There’s a good amount of lore for them,, but it is certainly a good idea!
Thank you baldermort for the content as I am here for you amazing story telling and most time it don't get to view your videos i only get to listen, however when I do get to see parts of your videos I very much appreciate the amount of art work you put into your videos
Well done uncle Baldy, this could become a mighty challenge but if anyone is worthy of doing any and all chapter recognition and history, no matter how secretive or obscure, it is you. So who to select for a possible video? How about the Red Hunters? They seem to have very little told of themselves, could this be a false flag? Could there be a lot to dig up and present? I do hope so, again thank you for your hard work, I hope we are worthy.
I would dig a video about the Marines Malevolent. An entire chapter made up of Marines who see collateral damage as not just acceptable, but something to be encouraged if it can kill even a single snotling. They really take the whole "no good guys" concept to extreme levels.
I don’t know which one specifically, but I feel the Iron Hands needs some love and spotlight that the Heresy failed to give them. Now who gives it to them is up to you you are a very busy man but I’d enjoy to learn more about one of my favorite legions explained by your divine voice
