May I just say that Angie Stone, is a beautiful singer, and her spirit is so wonderful. I'm so honored to be able to witness such magnificent grace and power. I only hope and pray that she will continue for many more years to come. I love you Angie Stone, you're a friend in my head.
SHE HAS NEVER GOT THE PROPS SHE DESERVES BUT HER VOCALS ARE BETTER THAN 80% OF THESE CHICS OUT THERE DOIN IT BIG RITE NOW! I WONDER IF ITS BCUZ SHES NOT A SIZE 2-6 AND NOT WHAT AMERICA SEES AS BEAUTIFUL? CMON TALENT IS BLIND GET IT TOGETHER PPL!!!!!
their synchronisation is amazing. ive never seen any singers and their backups be THAT in sync - especially for such a rhythmically complicated rendition
I just wish people could look beyond certain types or what people look like and give them their props for the talents they posess. Angie, you have got mad skills and I love both you and your talents and skills. You just keep doing you Boo! This makes Curtis proud.
The Makings of You is important to the creator. There is a righteous way to go and there is certainly a wrong road to take. Have I been astounded by this song? Yes. But I am more astounded about what He can do.
OMG!! Fantastilicious! Pleaae, give these girls all the love they need in return for this amazing concert! And special credits to this very very musical bass player, Jackie Clark!!
This version along with Lauryn Hill's rendition are by far my favorite version of the treasured classic by Curtis Mayfield (besides his original version). And to actually see Angie and her background singers rep this classic while listenin to their divine, harmony-filled, sultry voices... NOW THIS IS MUSIC.
@@miguelpadilla4728 Agreed, I heard Gladys' version after that one, years ago. Gladys' version is actually better than the original to me... And I love Curtis's version.
I saw her live in the 90s with Anthony Hamilton and Lyfe Who is making his debut with the demo cd. I wish I still had it. Excellent concert. Go Stephanie!
There are some that come and go through the music door. But artist of this calaba will never go back out the door for good. The Angie Stones of R&B can come and go whenever THEY want to, not HAVE to and the supporters will be there forever patiantly waiting for the next album and quite happy to rewind and rewind until that time. She is a remarkable artist that will follow Aretha, Gladys, Lauryn, Pattie, Betty, Anita B, and so many others. She not underated coz she got us R.I.P Sir Curtis
This HERE IS DA REAL STUFF!!! WENT FROM EARTHLY 2 A TOUCH OF DA HEAVENLY!!! LOVE THIS TRULY SOULFUL RENDiTION OF A CLASSIC MAYFIELD ORIGINAL! GTTA SAY NOW, IT'S MY FAV OF THIS CLASSIC!!! She actually gave an interview where she said the industry has not received her well because of her looks and people she have written for did not thank her or give her credit such Mariah Carey.I honesty think she is beautiful inside and out,the industry is run by soulless individuals who are looking for sellouts who would give anything for the price of fortune and fame.
A lot people use Ghost Writers and sadly they do not give credit where credit is due. It takes courage to expose the truth, nevertheless there are always individuals who believe everything that celebrities claim.
Monique Henley I believe that plus lets be serious the songs mariah carey does write are kind of kiddie. she's not the deepest lyricist. Angie is a brilliant song writer so I can see her asking Angie to help. her singing about butterflies and rainbows 🤔🤔
jay2luv Mariah not a deep lyricist: let’s see: Vision of Love, Vanishing, All in Your Mind, Anytime You Need a Friend, My All, Breakdown, Bliss, Petals, Mine Again, Joy Ride, Yours, Reflections... like I can go on and on about Mariah penmanship and lyrical skills
