Experience winter steelhead fishing as it was in 2012 in two great NW fisheries. Fish with guide, Steve Leonard on the Cowlitz in SW Washington & guide, Dave Maroon on the John Day River which is a tributary of the Columbia. Also, Steve Leonard is in studio with breakdown of the changes we have seen on the Cowlitz since this episode was filmed. Angler West Classics air Sunday mornings at 7:30 on NBC Sports NW.

So fun to watch fishing before the failed wild fish only programs took over!! Steve is a hellof a good guide, fun to fish with, and if you listen to him here, his ideas will bring back our great PNW fishing.

We all should quit for few years and not buying license to see what would they do about it. Always closing for the banks fisherman's but let the commercial to cast net them all.

I 67 yrs old and been raised on the Cowlitz believe me now days that river sucks.Thank you Tacoma Power and Washinton State for nothing.

It's a shame we have to watch videos from years past to remind us how good the fishing was on the Cowlitz thanks to Tacoma Power and WDFW for killing off a world class Steelhead river.
