My Doctor did not like the fact that i no longer needed anymore medication after more than 10 years of Anti Psychotics, SSRI's and Sleeping Pills including 4 years on blood pressure meds. After only 6 months on the Carnivore Diet, i lost more than 80 lbs and 24 inches from my waist and no longer needed any medication. My Mental health and physical health is better now than it has ever been. I believe most Doctors are only paid Drug pushers for Pharmaceutical companies and they seem to be allergic to patients on a Carnivore Diet. 🥓 🥩 🍳 👍
I couldn't believe how much of a help carnivore has been for my depression. I have read of COUNTLESS examples of people getting strong mental health boosts from this stuff. Apparently our brain is made out of fat and low fat diets are bad for your brain! Who wouldda thunk it!
That is so true, unless they can write a prescription they don’t want to know you. Where are the doctors who will get to the root of the problem instead of just treating the symptoms.
Am 40 yrs a nurse. I don't use a plumber, hairdresser, or doctor who talks down to me or does not respect me as a person. RUN. Doctors are mostly trained to treat a DISEASE, not a person. It's where they feel most comfortable ordering meds and diagnostics. YOU know your body. Keep up with your check-ins with the next guy but make it clear you are the physician's PARTNER in your health journey, not his employee. He or she is YOUR employee. Best wishes!!
Diagnosed in 1990 at age 39 and was on all their meds to stabilize this disease. I was sick ALLTHE TIME from the meds, so in 2007 after seeing my neurologist, he told me he would not be treating me if I was not willing to take the meds he prescribed. I decided to take control of my own body, no medicines just diet, and I have not had one exacerbation since!! Unless you are in a traumatic accident, etc., I personally have no use for our current health system.
AMEN!!!! I feel the same, DONE with Doctors (unless something like you broke your leg or whatever)! I was having bad Acid Reflux a few years ago. Went to an ENT Doctor who signed me up for and Endoscopy AND Colonoscopy. Something (well, JESUS, actually!!!) told me to cancel the appt! I looked for natural cures and bought some Slippery Elm Bark powder from Amazon. Now some of these "natural cures" i've found, don't work, BUT THIS ONE DOES!!! Within a couple of weeks of taking it, ALL the Acid Reflux abruptly stopped and hasn't bothered me since! I'm Carnivore also, for 2 years now, it's great! A wonderful healer!! God bless you, so sorry you went thru that, that's awful!
@@jackiebradshaw6651 No particular diet, mostly whole food, no sugar. I do take vitamins and concentrated Chinese herbs, mushrooms and teas. It works for my body but may not for everyone.
Health issues should start with correcting diet. Eliminating anything new in the last century is a great place to start....no plant oils and no funky chemicals. Plants were seasonal at best. Don't be afraid of animal fats...they did not throw it away.
Really sorry to hear this happened to you. About four years ago I was taken to hospital and diagnosed with diabetes, it had gone really far because I hate seeing doctors so i spent the weekend on an IV learning how to do insulin injections and they put me on metformin. When I got home I said to my husband, this isnt going to be my life. And I started researching and found carnivore/keto. Three months later my a1c was non diabetic level. My doctor called me with this news and didnt sound happy at all but he said he had never seen anyone do what I did and asked me how I did it. I told him and he freaked out and said that he wouldnt recommend it and wanted me to go back to eating the way I was AND take my insulin injections and metformin. I told him in no uncertain terms this wouldnt be happening. I live in Sweden and we have 'free' healthcare, two days later I got a letter saying I would no longer get my test strips or any supplies because I was going against the doctors advice. The diabetic nurses there were also rude to me and one even said when I saw her for the first time...'Ive hearrd about you'...like they were all talking about me when I wasnt there. I never went back. My husband even called the doctor angry and gave him a dressing down and asked him if what I had done was so amazing why isnt he asking me how to do it so he can help other diabetics! Its disgusting and i know how you felt in that apt and my heart goes out to you!
I was taken to hospital with a severe back pain having just flown back to Portugal from a four day wedding party in the UK Before I knew it I was in the ICU and the following morning taken to a small unit where three stents were put in my arteries I NEVER saw a cardiologist My husband wasn-t consulted I had felt fine I was then told I was pre/diabetic and put on metformin. a drug I KNEW was banned in the USA. and a cholesterol drug that brought me out in an all body rash yjayt didn't-t go away for three months plus 6 other drugs then it was 8,000 euros please KERCHING. After the initial shock wore off I stopped ALL the drugs and went on the KETO diet..I can-t say I am 100% of what I was because I then went on to experience an unfortunate incident with a maniac drug dealer driving at our car on the wrong side of the road The shock of this near death experience caused me to have a TIA stroke THAT has caused me many problems in the 20 months since / BUT I will not give in a go back to ignorant drug pushing doctors
My diet is not my doctor's business. Just like my house plumbing is not my electrician's business. I am in a similar situation as you. I go in, I say nothing about what I am doing and eating, I get told I'm doing great and then I go home to my life. That's it. Its not my responsibility to fix his profession. He does not ask, I do not volunteer. I will use him, when I need him, for what he is capable of doing, and not for what he is not capable of doing.
Yes, I agree! I do the same with colleagues, family and friends. I don't tell people what I eat. If they ask, I'm happy to tell them, but, really, nobody is actually interested 🤣
Yeah.... been adopting that with my doctor (state one). Fortunately, I have another doctor, private care, that is what doctors should actually be. She's a "regular" doctor but with multiple other studies. But above all that, she knows the importance of listening.
Good Afternoon. Or good evening, whatever the case may be. I am 75 years old. I weigh 198. I'm 6 foot 3. And you guessed it. 0 medication. Carnivore Somewhere over 15 years. Now, that leaves me with the title To voice my opinion That no one's interested in. You are a beautiful young woman. Thank you for the rant. I heard every word you said. You already know what I'm gonna say I know you do, you're an intelligent woman. Do your very best to let it all go now. It might take a couple of days or a week. I have learned like you have, not to share my carnivore experience with 0 people. Not even relatives. I know this Is harsh, but no one's interested. You are doing a fantastic job for yourself. No one's gonna take care of you like you. To me, you are a breath of fresh air. I'm glad you had this experience, now, you know. I wanna stand in my front yard and yell. I am so happy I jog I run. I take my dog out 3 times a day. I feel a zest for life. And to top it off. Yes, I'm going to say it. My sex life is through the roof. You've had your lesson. You don't need anymore Disrespect. Peace to you and your canine companions. And may life experiences be good ones.
I did share with a couple I know around the corner about going carnivore and my results. Well I bumped into them last week and one went carnivore 2 months ago and has had the same results as me! She's over the moon. But yes selective sharing is important.
Just remember in the carnivore world everyone else thinks your strange for eating this way. You become the lighthouse not the fog horn. Leave them to see the results for themselves eventually, so don’t stress over their opinions as it could stall your progression to optimum health. Keep going and keep improving family and friends ( and the medical profession) don’t like it when they see that they’ve been lied to all their lives. IT’S YOU THATS GOT YOUR LIFE BACK😊👍.
To be a " true believer ' one needs to reject the advise of all the health authorities that cautions against this diet ? Does carnivore also reject the advise of every plumbing associations as well ? Eg don't flush wet wipes down the toilet . Would you flush the wipes down the toliet if carnivore influncers told you to do so ?
@@julienfroidevaux1143 I think you will find that the carnivore community is not full of people following "influencers" slavishly. Just free spirits. Very few have anything like dogmatic advice. For example, some like to eat raw meat. They say it's great, but I heave at the thought of raw! I feed raw to my dog. You call people who reject current medical treatments and dogma "true believers". As I have observed elsewhere, if these Drs actually experienced thr illness, or the drug side effects themselves, maybe they would be a little more nuanced? I had decades of being a "normal" patient who took pills and some nearly killed me. Baffled they were, some called me neurotic, but it was in fact porphyria. Lucky for me I survived. And now I'm carnivore and free of the dreadful inflammatory and auto immune diseases and the ghastly 28 pills a day. That wasn't following any influencers, just testamonials of ordinary people making extraordinary journeys against the flow of midrrn allopathic procedure based medicine.
I just started my joureny as a carnivoire 3 months now, fired my MD and DO, went to a Naturalpath doctor, i told him that i was on the carnivoire diet, he said "love it" Been getting better ever since!
lady, lemme tell you, my family says me eating so much meat is unhealthy, but they drink alcohol/smoke and eat junk food (i stopped eating junk like that and i dont drink and stopped smoking). Alot of people are ignorant as hell.
A better predictive/diagnostic model to "germ" theory: “All disease, at some period or other of its course, is more or less a reparative process, not necessarily accompanied with suffering: an effort of nature to remedy a process of poisoning or of decay, which has taken place weeks, months, sometimes years beforehand, unnoticed.” - Florence Nightingale
I'm sorry you had such a terrible experience with the looser of a doctor .... I don't know why you just sat there and stayed taking BS from the ... HAHA ... professional, I feel you should have gotten up and left ... document everything as it happened and then file a state ot local complaint against him ... I would report his stinky little A$$ to the insurance and then go out and get a doctor who will respect you .... your insurance is paying him for services AT THIS POINT HE SHOULD NOT GET PAID FOR HIS DEPLORABLE BEHAVIOR
You go girl. If you don’t feel sick, don’t go! You can order test kits for home for things such as the vitamin D you wondered about. A naturopath or holistic doc would be pleased to help as well. 💛 The neurologist you spoke of doesn’t deserve to have you grace his presence.
Be wary of test kits that only check for levels in your blood, which does not give the whole story. Many vitamins & minerals are stored elsewhere in the body - such a bones.
I love your rant. I have an arrogant cardiologist who believes he knows what's best. In his eyes, we can't heal ourselves. The medical community is full of lies
I've been living with Relapsing-remitting MS since I was diagnosed in 1990. Due to issues with the MS following some prostate and bladder surgery and issues and a not so rosy outlook for quality of life, in desperation I turned to some docs on RU-vid that resulted in a slightly altered diet. In the same vein as the Garbage In Garbage Out from computer programming, I found that my mostly mear, plus berries and cruciferous greens and no sugar or processed foods has restored my health to where it has not been in decades. You are clearly on the right path. Stay there, and stay well kiddo!
Sounds exactly like many of my doctor visits here in the U.S. They don’t want to hear about “natural cures”. I’m so glad you’re improving and feeling great on carnivore!
I'm new here. Why do you - and Cabena - keep going back to doctors if you're all better? Also, you're going to THEM. So why WHOULD they want to hear YOUR advice?
Just stumbled on your video. I’ve been carnivore for 8 weeks. Never felt healthier in 45 years. So you are a MS patient and your diet has improved your condition. Awesome news lady. ❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Feel your anger for a day or two and then let it go. He isn't worth stealing your peace. You are inspiring so many people who will find this video who had no idea that possibly by switching their diet they could reverse, or put MS into remission. God bless you!
Really glad things are going so well for you ! I know you're feeling frustrated right now, but what a great problem to have - "I'm so well that my doctor is no longer interested in me !"
back in september i had a four wheel drive tractor roll oven on top of me broke my pelvic bone in four places public bone in two places broke 4 ribs dislocated my spine they told me in the hospital since i could not move my legs i would need physical therapy to walk again said maybe 10 months 3 weeks later i walked into my doctors office she wanted new xrays then said whats going on she cant explain this when i said i was a carnivore oh one of those that was last time i saw her. what i am saying is $45,000 for hopital stay and i did the healing myself on the carnivore diet was on it about 8 months before this happened i was 63 when this happened have no problems with my body after this feel great and guess who got me started Dr kin berry thank you
This is a wow testimony. Usually we hear of chronic issues healing on carnivore not acute traumatic injuries. Your bones healed in less than 3 weeks. It normally takes 6 weeks. You were up and moving normally without physiotherapy in 3 weeks. This is a remarkable testimony. You should get a copy of your medical report to verify this because it is a very powerful testimony.
It's a slow process changing perceptions and bad opinions. You are triggering his cognitive dissonance. Mark Twain said "it's easier to convince someone of a lie than to convince them they have been lied to".
I had a similar experience here in Canada a few years ago. My neurologist laughed at me when I told him I was trying diet to reverse my ms symptoms. He said diet would never help a genetic condition. Like you, I was super offended. I told him I wouldn’t be coming back for my routine checks. He tried to scare me with “you’ll have to be re referred if you want to come back.” I’ve never looked back. Write the letter and take care of yourself. You’ll do a much better job. Just because we don’t have a bunch of letters behind our names doesn’t mean we don’t know how to research something that is of utmost importance to us. They don’t seem to realize the scope of information available on the internet to anyone who has the motivation to learn. With the hours I’ve put in, I think I must have my doctorate by now 😆.
I had RRMS and finally in remission. I hear you !! I was pissed at my GP and my second neurologist from London Ontario the pill pusher. Suffered and depressed for 10 years until I saw Dr.Baker on RU-vid.
A lot of Drs. are dismissing their patients when it comes to this. It's all about money. If everyone knew that they could heal themselves without drugs, they would all be out of business. Our whole medical system has turned into a cash cow for them. No one is really looking for cures or answers as to why these diseases are attacking us in the first place. Many blessings to you my dear. Keep up the good work!
Sorry your relationship with your doctor isn't better. It is so hard to find an educated doctor who understand the merits of a good diet. Don't let them get to you. Keep fighting and enjoy your good health. Keep sharing with others your success.
@@carlost9454I've heard it said this way... the Chinese medicine doctors treat the patient and are only paid when you get well. Their motivation is in the best interest of the patient. It is the opposite here. The sicker we are, the more money they make.
Doctor spent a ton of money to go to medical school so they are going to stick by their guns and believe what they’ve been taught is 100% accurate and everyone else is wrong. But we need to ask, who’s teaching them?
When my mom's Parkinson's symptoms got worse we went to see her neurologist. He seemed pretty annoyed just by the fact we came to ask for help. His words were "What do you expect?!" and then, before leaving the room, he added "If you have nothing else to do, go bother your GP". That was pretty shocking. We switched to another neurologist. Not that anybody could help with her condition, but at least we didn't get insulted by a DOCTOR anymore. : ((( Unfortunately, I knew nothing about carnivore diet when my mom was dealing with the terrible illness.
I got same crap when I had cancer. Lost my insurance because doc wrote down saying that I was resistant to recommended treatments. I kept to my guns, put diet and personal health before their treatments. They have their selfish cart before your horse because they are blinded by $. I had to solve my health issues on my own and today am much better for it. Found out I had parasites and prediabetes. I would probably be dead right now had I listen to my doctors. Now I hope to live another 40 yrs. Last time I saw my doc I told him I was following my ancestral Sauk diet and they lived to 100, he shut up for the first time. What an idiot.
Brian, BECAUSE you were resistant to your doctor’s advice, you lost your INSURANCE ? WOW ! This makes me think that, SO we can hang onto our insurance, that we should smile, agree, accept the prescription, get it filed, and then take it home and toss it in the drawer……….AS a protection for yourself AND as a way to know that you will have a doctor handy in the future should you get in a dire situation. My daughter and I have talked about this and feel this is the way we ought to handle things in the future. Is this how YOU would advise us ?😊
I was threatened, too, with losing my insurance. So I got the prescription filled, promptly threw it out, and went on with my wonderfully healthy life!
My Prostate Cancer Consultant's Assistant actually had the gall to say that what you ate and drank made no difference! I was completely gob-smacked that an apparently "Educated" person being so completely ignorant..also, maybe in that situation one feels very vulnerable...he suggested the best thing was to Surgically remove the Prostate..I said, let's wait and watch..;8 years ago...
@carolcole570 If you eat healthy, live happy, you are not worrying about an expensive insurance covering pills you don't need and advice that makes things worth.
It's outside the box. My nephrologist also cannot understand why everything else is wonderful besides my kidneys, but he at least said "just keep doing what you're doing". But he's the only one, everyone else has been rude or disrespectful and when it's people like us, being chronically ill with severe diseases it makes us feel vulnerable but confirmation cannot and shall not come from them. It's from within you. Humans fear the unknown and changing paradigm is highly scary to someone who lives following one paradign and one only. Raise above it! Blind people will be blind.
You don't have to please anyone else but yourself! The doctors want to be the owners of your health, life and death but they are only the creators of your illness. You don't need them at all and you don't need their applause - you are alive and healthy not thanks to them but in spite of them. Keep going, you inspired a lot of us. Thank you!!! ❤
My dermatologist told me that elimination diets don’t work. When I list my great results she made a note but no comment. I’m sure she put that I am a weirdo… Best wishes on your journey
Yup. If you get rid of a disease your way you are a weirdo. They don't care how you did it and how/why it worked. You don't use their methods that doesn't work you are a WEIRDO. And I am a WEIRDO too.
Your feelings and anger are completely justified, completely. Do you really think that the doctors are going to give up their arrogance, their complete control over you, let you do what works for you without their approval and give up their money, let you know more than them? 99% will not. I had an MD whose wife was in a special hospital dying who heard that I had pulled myself out of what she had. He called, flew her from another state to stay at my house. He lived in my state and came every weekend to my house. In three months she was completely well. He changed his entire practice. Rare indeed. Why do you need them any more? They will change in time as they are disrespected and dragged into it. So happy for you. Stay on the carnivore diet, get completely well, enjoy your life and don’t let their attitude upset your peace. Blessings!
[bluebird6499] Sounds like an unusual person who had a great love for his wife, great enough to dump what he was taught and had enough of an open mind to consider other possibilities.
I hope you find a different doctor who will treat you with respect. He's a jerk, patronizing & close-minded. Sounds like he views you only as a curiosity & is just shrugging you off. I hear your anger & validate it. You are doing GREAT.
Gosh, I felt your angst all way over here in Virginia! What I Imagined in my head was you plotting to discover some of his other patients to convince at least one to try changing how they eat so he then must contend with TWO freaks of nature! Sort that out Mr. Neurologist! Must be something about that diet maybe, ya think? I agree with the mellower commenter below who said that change just takes time and I would add, "Don't let the a-holes get you down". Just keep shining your light so others can find and follow you. This message is spreading so fast. He will meet another patient like you and it will give him pause. Unfortunately, I don't know how any doctor recommends this diet to a patient until the powers that be stop ringing the death knell for a diet full of red meat and saturated fat. You are challenging everything he thinks he knows and he thinks he knows quite a lot!
I had some of the more common metabolic disorders in 2018, saw my doctor about them for almost a year and he had me do blood tests and some organ scans. I was sent to a specialist and she wanted to remove some of my "overactive" parathyroid glands, had an hour discussion with her where she tried to tell me that the operation was necessary and would help me. Instead I switched my diet from plant based to carnivore and within 2 to 3 weeks I was seeing improvements so I continued and over the last 5+ years I have a long list of symptoms that have resolved :) I have not seen any medical professional since that specialist in 2018. All of the following do not bother me anymore: obesity, prediabetes, loose teeth, bleeding gums, sensitive teeth cold sores, blocked sinuses, mouth breathing, left eye twitches (tetany) heartburn, calf cramps, yellow stool, blood in stool edema below the knees, painful feet when walking, sunburn is less shoulder, back and neck pain after waking, lower back pain and stiffness
Meathead, I would like to tell you of my own experience. Because of how doctors always pushed, I decided to do things my way. If sick I treated myself with alternative medicines. I was always successful. But, one thing I was not doing was watching my diet. I was fixing myself….so, I was doing great, and on the right track, right ? Wrong. One day I got nauseated. I vomited pure blood. A LOT of it. Bottom line…..to the ER, admitted to the hospital, and spent two weeks there while they tried to save my life. My diagnosis was two things : diabetes plus non-alcoholic cirrhosis of my liver. I was astounded, since I did not drink, and asked the doctor where THAT came from ????? He told me that SINCE I chose not to go to doctors for checkups, I had developed diabetes without knowing it and it had gotten so severe that it went right over into my liver. Et voil’a……. On-alcoholic cirrhosis. Bottom line : there was no medication they could give me to help. I would die from it. TODAY : I still have it, but learned my lesson about AT LEAST forcing myself to have checkups. However, I started privately getting my life in order doing keto, doing I.T., and my Labs have greatly improved ( even though I was diagnosed with a brand new disease last week ! My whole point is that…..for me……I now am extremely cognizant of getting Labs done plus when concerned over something, to REQUEST Labs.❤️
@@carolcole570 It's always a good to see a professional but we also need to consider whether their advice is beneficial or not, I was prediabetic in 2018, I did a glucose tolerance test a month or two ago and I'm not at all prediabetic anymore luckily :) The only reason I have not seen a doctor is that I have no symptoms of any kind, not even an ache in my shoulder over the last 5 years which I used to get regularly and I would always think I slept "wrong". I also do not take any medications or supplements, I've always tried my best not to take any medication but sometimes you do need the anti-biotics when warranted. It sounds like you are also dong much better :)
@@Meathead-10810 Considering my elderly years…….and only using doctors for NECESSARY things, I am doing great. It will always be a Battle of the Wills concerning MD’s and me. I have learned to smile and basically forget it. But, the cancelling of an insurance on a DOCTOR’s ssy so, bothers me to my core. And scares the crud out of me!
Anger certainly justified. No MS here but other metabolic concerns and tired of being disrespectef when I pose certain questions and concerns. Refused statin rec by 3 different drs. I have always been a fairly compliant patient but I am tired of the arrogance and I have a LOT of distrust overall. I will persist with what I feel is right for ME, ME, ME. I am glad for your improved health.
Sounds typical. Gave up on conventional medicine years ago, long before starting carnivore. Haven’t been back. I’m 62 years old, can’t imagine how much medication doctors would insist on putting me on! Let roll off you! Many of us have had to fix ourselves.❤
So happy for you with your healing via the Carnivore way of life. I had serious metabolic issues but now back to ‘normal’, although I still have room for improvement. I started with Keto and IF and now Ketovore/Carnivore. The Doctors and Nurses in my GP practice (UK) are not happy and just say nasty things about my way of life that is actually healing me. I don’t take any meds, as I don’t need them. My Cholesterol is very high, but that’s fine by me and I certainly will not be bullied into taking Statins. They try to scare me with talk of stroke and heart attacks in my 50’s, well I’m a Christian, so I believe the Lord will end my life when he chooses to call me home. Well, they don’t like me saying this either, but cannot challenge me on this as they would get into a lot of trouble. Overall the medical ‘professionals ’ are totally useless and just drug pushers, not interested in healing me naturally. Total bastards really.
My love, ive just realised today, nice people expect others to treat them as they treat others. Im 57 on carnivore. Its been a literal lifesaver for me. 1.5 years. Have your rant, then move forward. The important thing is that you know how your body feels and you are feeling great on the diet. Do you. Ignore the naysayers. If the next dr is hopeless try another. Keep well. Best wishes for continued health improvements. X
My first time seeing your presentation. What a sad tale of modern "medicine". Just wish you would turn your anger and disgust into joy and victory because you nailed it when you stated that you are well and know why and so-called doctor knows it and doesn't care. It's a story told around the world and you are among many many who are well due to a proper human diet. Congratulations and best wishes for continued healthy living. God bless you and your loved ones.
When I told some people that I was eating only meat some of them thought i was a alien one other said they were going to call the police. My own family tried to do an intervention, my doctor told me that I will get bowl cancer, have a heart attack, and my head will blow up and fly off my body, some of the people won't talk to me anymore and won't even let their kids talk to me anymore, our only friend left is our new friend who is a Bucher, some of the people look at us in pity, some said their good byes and asked if I have made a will, some have said I look very ill because I'm not 80 pounds over weight, some have said the 30 med I was on and not now is plain stupid, one person asked what steroids I was taking as they said my muscles were twice as big, do I regret going on this journey, dam right I dont, I feel 15 years younger and I have changed my name to Benjamin button
This problem is rampant. Doctors weren't taught in medical school to discover the PhD. I started Carnivore almost 3 years ago and feel young and amazing with tons of energy. I'm 70 and keep being told I look maybe 40. I continue to feel better all the time. Also I'm finally losing weight, and I'm 87 lbs down. Shooting for losing more, and I'm gonna do it too. God bless!! I wish you every happiness and good journey towards your continued great health. YOU CAN DO IT!!
Think your doctor visit was bad? I went to a neurologist afraid that I had MS because of all of the sudden strange symptoms I was having. This was about 20 years ago, I was terrified wanting to hear some encouraging news. He told me "You sure have a lot of the symptoms but we just need to wait and see if they go away or get worse over time, do you need any hydrocodone?" I did not even know what hydrocodone was when he asked so I asked him. He told me it's for pain and I told him I wasn't here for pain. Still scared to death about my symptoms I left and told my primary care physician I'll never go back to him. I ended up with a wonderful neurologist, she was very good and spent over an hour with me. She knew I was scared and had sympathy for me and even wrote me a personal letter addressed to my house explaining her findings and thank god they were all good. OBTW, that first neurologist made the 10 o'clock news being arrested for prescribing large amounts of opiates for no medical reason and even for selling them. Doctors are people just like us, there are good ones and bad ones.
I'm a type 1 Diabetic, and when I mentioned last year to my endocrinologist that I was doing carnivore, he wasn't impressed. But the carnivore diet is the only diet that my blood sugars are normal, coupled with insulin therapy of course. But I was having to take so much insulin when eating the recommended high carb, low fat diet. I'm hoping that the carnivore community can convince these medical professionals that we are not just doing fad diets, but that we just want better health. Fingers crossed, guys!
It's crazy! I have a new Neurologist.(thankgoodnessfor that)...and my appointment was on the March 20th. He looked at me and said, looking good. And, I told him that I'm on the Carnivore Lifestyle...he said no carbs, yep I told him. He asked me, when was your last relapse, August 2019. And, how far I could walk...I told him I have more energy. He said pretty far. So, I have my (maybe my last) next March. Maybe I will not have any lesions on my MRI. And, he said before I don't want you to get any dye(my other Neurologist made me get the dye every year grrr) She retired...thankfully! She was poisoning me. With all the MS meds. .like Ocrevus and Gilenya etc. So glad she retired, but if I were to have him as a Neurologist, maybe my MS would have been ok. Now I know! Great video! And, I think you She ditch your Nero, and get a new one. Clearly, he doesn't give a damn about you...or your health.
You keep living your truth. Do not let people take your sunshine. And from down south in Louisiana USA tell him “bless your heart” and sashay away my dear. Because he doesn’t have to understand. You planted the seed and it’s his responsibility to you and all his other patients to research. So shame on him.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ You are a blessing and a light of hope to others suffering. Don't let them get you down. Just smile and adjust your crown. I KNOW you can handle this man….❤❤❤❤❤❤ Take a deep breath and put your feet in the grass. Wiggle your toes into mother earth… Much love honey… Your mom from Washington…inot that you need one. This year 20 years since diagnosed. Been on and off DMT. Hate it. Now on Rebiff inj. Also tried diets and vit. All i could read and find out about disease management. No disability. Had 2 relapses a year in begining. Now 5 years relapse free. No symptoms anymore. Also began with optical neuritis. Started carnivore Des. 2023. Feel absolutely great! Appointment at neurologist 17 April and MRI. Don't want to go. Had so many of the same experiences with them... Rude... just want to sell their drugs. Not really interested in patients wellbeing. My neurologist gets very angry at me if i even say that i am okay and that i do not want meds. So sorry that you had such a terrible experience. Keep on doing what you are doing. We can beat this i am sure.
Don’t go! You have a better handle on this than they have. Be your own health advocate and F the pharma pushing doctors. I’m 71 and on zero medication. Non vaxxed as well. Eat very low carb or carnivore, if you can.
I’ve had MS for 30 years… Started taking LDN “low-dose naltrexone“ 25 years ago and have been in remission for many years now without mainstream pharmaceuticals. Just started the keto-vore diet a year ago…have not switched tototally carnivore, but it could be in my future. Congratulations on you doing so well and I’m happy that you’re getting away from a neurologist that doesn’t respect your wonderful results!
I also have taken LDN for fibromyalgia and osteoarthritis for nearly 4 years now, it's helped me so much, I still have some issues but not the excruciating pain that made every day feel like living in hell. I'm just starting back on carnivore and hopefully can maintain it as I know I feel much better cutting everything but meat, as I have multiple food sensitivities
@@DiAllinson I haven’t gone strictly carnivore yet, but I may in the future. LDN is such a wonderful safe little drug that most people don’t know about. Best wishes to you!
@@Raledo1 it's criminal that LDN is kept so secret and not allowed on NHS, luckily it's very cheap so I can afford private prescription. I have to go strict carnivore as I have found with keto, I can't moderate and am always tempted back to carbs, like oh just 1 biscuit won't hurt, oh boy yes it does, so easier to just say only meat allowed
@@DiAllinson Yes, Carnivore is MUCH MUCH better and more healing!! CARBS & SUGAR ARE KILLERS! And carbs make me ravenously hungry! I switch to Carnivore and love it!
Hello- I was dx'd 14+ yrs ago with MS. I also take LDN, 3.5 mg no luck to help with symptoms, but keeps me from getting sick. I did carnivore for about 54 days and I was so tired of eating meat! I NEED TO SERIOUSLY GAIN 20 lbs!!! I look sickly/almost anorexic!!! I want to feel better, my life is sitting 99% of my day and I loathe it. Where's the best place to search on how to do keto-vore?? Please write back, MS SUCKS! TIA!
Perspective love, you actually did something he wasn't prepared for, healed yourself by eating a natural diet. His discomfort with your progress is due to his belief system being disrupted and shaken up, you did that!!! The Universe works in mysterious ways and you are the mystery to him!
I'm sorry you went through that. You have been so effective in treating your MS, and did not deserve that disrespect. We have tremendous respect for your self-discipline, intelligence, courage and fortitude. The neurologist, eh, just a blip on the screen.
Ooh I feel for you. I've had exactly the same issues with regards to inflammatory arthritis. I was sacked in the end as I refused meds. I think the issues are that 1) most docs don't know what to do outside prescribing. 2) Some (a few in my case) don't like being questioned.
Respect is earned; he did the work to get a certificate that earned the respect of the Hospital he works for, but he still has to earn the respect from each patient. My last 2 GP's were barely worth the annual physical. 🙄 Your health is your responsibility, not theirs. Keep up the good work improving your health despite the naysayers.
I had a similar experience with my GP when I requested BHRT during menopause. I have been animal based for over 5 years and have no health issues. I was only struggling with some new anxiety and lack of sleep as well as loss of libido due to estrogen loss that comes with menopause. My doctor refused to give me BHRT, saying it is dangerous, but WAS willing to give me sleeping pills and anti depressants. Regarding the lack of libido, she wasn’t even willing to talk about it. She did not want to hear about how I felt well otherwise. She also considered me “a freak of nature” because I was NOT suffering from night sweats or hot flashes. She asked me about 10 times if I had either of those, implying that I was only “suffering” if those were present. The meeting was so incredibly invalidating. She is in her early 40s. I can’t wait until she enters menopause and maybe rethinks how she treated me and other women who walk into her office for help.
Hi Rebecca, completely understandable that you'd be pissed off after that appt. Just take a deep breath and suck up the live and support from this group. 😊 Keep doing what you're doing. You're an inspiration to many I think. 👍😎 Tony 🇦🇺
Yes be mad, get it out and let it go. I know exactly how you feel. I don't have MS, but go back 38 years, I was told I had 2 maybe 3 years left. I didn't believe them. First 10 years of every visit you have survived but....now 68, same old same old, a recent change in my blood markers going into the negative. Since the scare I went on carnivore, asked my specialist if I lost weight improved my bad habits could my blood markers go back down. Quite impossible, last blood work down by half, have not heard from him. Talked with my GP today, was like they didn't hear me or understand onto next subject. Yes I know but if you are without symptoms and feeling great GREAT 😊
Glad you are able to vent. The frustration of dealing with him is so toxic for your body. They have nothing to offer you so why bother wasting your time going to them. They will never receive anything you want to share. Move on and enjoy your good health without the unneeded irritations! ❤️🥩
You have to respect him for staying out of it. He’s obviously aware. Take his avoidance as a compliment. Yes, you are fired up. You have experienced years of suffering the harshness of diagnosis and no real help/direction; wanting to have a voice in it is understandable. Your passion is wonderful, if all of this didn’t mean something to you, you would just be milk toast/bland. Stand tall. Here’s hoping your views will translate to subs. You know many with MS or an association with MS are watching. ❤️🤗’s.
As long as You are healthy and better everyday don't worry about what others Say or think. You are doing the right thing to do so just keep on doing it
I have been called 'Beyond Medicine' " Not your average Bear" and other euphemisms are what doctors have called me all of my life! Thank God!!! I am not going down the " Designed Decline" that they expect and are treating us with those expectations. My doctor, now, ( after I got fired from my last one) is now wonderfully curious and will listen and geek with me. It was also a negative experience with my last doctor, but THANK GOD I SWITCHED!!Maybe it will be the same for you. If not this time...maybe next. This may be an amazing thing! God Bless!
I get similar dismissals from family and friends as well. They all say, "eat a balanced diet" and all will be well , whatever that actually means. Your frustration bordering on anger resonates. Thank you.
You are soooo not alone. I've had such a herendous time with my M.D.s. in 2023. Had 4 heart attacks. 1 wk after #1. Went to doc. Did blood work. Went shopping. Doc office frantically calls. Go to ER. ????? Hold on... I'm a DNR. Sends me to cardiologist. Does echo. Says it looks bad. U need a pacemaker. Again, I'm 72 and stated I'm a DNR???? Doesn't tell me the problem. Just demands I get procedure or there is nothing he can do for me. Saw 2 more docs for the extreme shortness of breath! Had to crawl to the bathroom. They don't listen!!! They don't care!!! What a crock. Keep doing what you are doing. If it works for u. Who are they anyways. Wonder if a homeopathic Dr. Would be better. Wish I made $3000 a day just to ignore patients after 5 min. visit.🙏🙏🙏
It seems like MS and other autoimmune conditions are directly caused by "swallowing it". I'm so glad to hear you are doing the carnivore diet to help you recover your health. I read Dr Gabor Mate to understand how being co-dependent, accommodating, having few to no boundaries was not something I was aware that I was doing. I just knew that I was over responsible and overstressed and it was affecting everything in my life. Gabor Mate penetrated that hazy thinking and set me on the path to standing up for myself and making decisions that help me, make me happy, allow me to walk away from abuse. He has a lot of videos on youtube. I've been firing the crummy doctors I have had because they were not helping. They were not treating me as a whole person but a collection of parts and none of them could or would treat any other parts even if it was all related. You know a lot about what to do to help yourself. I can see that. I learned that I can help myself too. I'm no longer staying in places or with people who treat me with contempt, passive aggression, skepticism, resentment and invalidation. Good luck to you. I came here randomly but I will be back.
Oh, Sweetheart, your anger is warranted! When I can find it, I’ll send you the name of the YT doc who talks about how to deal with MDs who gaslight their patients. I’m a retired Occupational Therapist and I am angry with you for how this neurologist treated you. FYI: Most MDs with whom I worked treated me as a colleague the same way. And my experiences as a patient were with MDs disrespected me as your doc did you. I laud you for what you’re done to help your body heal. You are a miraculous human being. Blessings to you. Pamela (73 yo)
I honestly dont think he would know re Vit D. Most drs dont. You are doing so magnificently. I had 2 drs smirking at me for bringing up diet linked to cancer. It took me a long time to realize I was trying to get something from my visits they werent trained to give me. I have learnt what works for me after years of trial and error and honestly no support from med field. I HAD to come to terms with it as it isnt going to change for a long time yet. Still learning after 14 years of "my great quest".
Understand you're frustration. I personally would keep it moving & not get triggered. Your doing a great job with the channel. people can listen and discover you this way. I'm sure someone has stubbled across your amazing story and its change their lives. The Carnivore community has opened my eyes to big Pharma , Drs and the food industry. We literally are at war.
Wow! I truly feel your anger. You are awesome. You are magnificent. Thank you for the great shot in the arm. I needed this. Keto-carnivore saved my life. My Doctor of many years reacted similarly and I wasn't offended. Im reading the book Metabolical for the 3rd time. Its written by Dr. Robert Lustlig. His book describes the volumes of examples and descriptions of the defensive reaction to conflicting opinions. Oh! How problemed is the medical professions. Even the newest research showing how processed foods cause MS. Even the loss of symptoms by cleaning the diet of offending foods. Thank you again for sharing.
If the neurologist is coming off as dismissive, it is likely due to the fact that you are causing him to feel insecure. All of that time, effort, and money are not as effective as a PHD. Oh well, I guess you’re stuck living a healthier and happier life despite his expertise.
They are a system and not going to change. You have proven your recovery, and are living a great life. I would not burn any bridges abruptly, but just slowly go away. For example, put off appointments, reschedule and reschedule, cancel MRI's, etc. Just be agreeable but do your own thing. You don't want to get red flags on your chart. Eventually, you will drop off their lists and they will leave you alone.
As a psychiatrist in the US who started the carnivore diet six months ago and feel better with regard to GI, weight, focus, and mood, I feel for you. When I talk to patients about diet and exercise, I often get blank stares as well, as if it doesn’t compute. What I’ve realized is that if someone makes a conclusion based on emotional grounds, it’s near impossible to change an opinion based on logic. That seems to be true, vice versa. I’m happy you’re feeling better, and that’s the important thing. I hope I can do a better job listening when I inevitably need that skill.
We all fell for it. As a patient I had to learn to take responsibility we hav unfairly dumped on doctors. It has been like waking up from a nightmare and it seems to still go on...
I know exactly what you mean I’ve stopped all meds for my crohns and have no symptoms I just refuse to go to doctors now on a basis of don’t call me I’ll call you they don’t get it .Be proud of yourself you’ve done amazing and that’s what really matters 🥰🥰🥰
I get you. Thanks for sharing. “Specialists” do not consider diet an intervention. I have scanned many MS patients on MRI. And out of interest I sometimes ask patients whether diet has been considered, it never is.
Some of the greatest miracles are when we wake up to the person we are meant to be. It takes love and courage. Someday we will be a great chorus around the whole world!
I am a front office clerk work in a primary care office. The providers promote the Mediterranean diet, or constantly write prescriptions for saxenda, Ozempic, zepbound for weight loss. And depression medications and the patients get worse and it is a losing battle. Its sad. I have coworkers who are in this vicious cycle. I even have one coworker that had gastric surgery to lose weight. She has anxiety and depression still. No one will listen to what I gave to say because I am just a front office clerk. I'm not medical. So I just do me and I am not on meds and I eat low carb carnivore and I am older and healthier than all of them. Love it!
@@lilpoohbear653 No it's reallly not. The reason it's not, is the same reason doctors don't want to recommend the diet: almost no one will do it, and their patients will think they are crazy.
I have a different autoimmune disease and have been on carnivore just a few days and already inflammation has massively improved. I so felt for you in this video and so identified with your experience at the hands of a bigoted, ignorant and condescending 'specialist'; specialist my ****. My god, doctors have ONLY EVER harmed me - every single interaction with them, recommendation from them and diagnosis has been not only deeply unhelpful but actively damaged my mental and physical health. And all of that would be excusable but for their (utterly blinkered) hubris. A change - a revolution - must come soon. Too many lives have been wasted and injured for too long. I am glad you are seeing the light and will not be one of them. Thank you very much for making this video. - And oh PLEASE, PLEASE DO say 'stuff your MRI' and whatever else you can fit up there to him! Disgusting, conceited human being. Please do that. For all of us!
The main thing is that you found carnivore and are well. Pearls beneath the feet of swine. God bless you on your journey. I know your frustration, I want to tell everyone too. I have a friend who is a vegetarian and a doctor, I might as well be talking to the wall. Best wishes. 🙏👍🙂
New to your channel ...just popped up in my feed. You are probably well aware of Michael Cawley in Ireland..... Very supportive of those with MS, which he has as well....
Celiac disease, Barrett esopghagus, gastroparesis, lymphocytes colitis, gluten ataxia, bile malabsortion, lactose allergy. With a pure carnivore diet I reversed all my issues.
So glad you’re healing yourself with good foods and lifestyle. Even though most Dr’s when they start I’m sure just want to help people. Sick people ultimately become cash cows for Dr’s…meds, scans, papers to be published, books written. When we’re healthy we take all that away from them and some of them don’t take kindly to it. Keep healing yourself and live your best life. Have a Blessed day!
I feel you. I don’t have anything as serious as MS, but I do get treated the same way by my doctors. My GP said I was going to get a ‘Fat Embolism’… Whatever that is. My Cholesterol is sky high, had a ct-scan of my arteries and aces it. Literally no detectable coronary calcium. So I asked them what my actual risk was with the high LDL and a CAC score of 0. And they had to admit the risk was very low 😂 It’s just that doctors get brainwashed into thinking inside the box. And as soon as someone thinks outside of that box they treat you like a freak because they think they are ‘all knowing’. I started searching for a new GP who is on board with low carb diets. It isn’t easy…
