Update: After the filming of this video, I believe my acne has gotten better. Maybe because I look at my face every day, I personally haven't noticed a difference. But, people around me tell me my skin looks healthier overall. I do still deal with flare ups, but overall my skin looks clearer
As a 58-year-old woman who was a strict carnivore and is now mostly meat-based (90%), I encourage you to continue the health investment that most people my age missed the opportunity to live this way (low-carb, ketovore, carnivore, etc.) years ago. You are rightly looking for an immediate investment in eating this way and I am glad for your progress, but look around at the older generation who were encouraged and led to believe a carb-loaded diet was the best thing for our health. It has been a dangerous path that has taken our health hostage and led us to use pharmaceuticals by the same corporate groups that bought (or invest in) and make addictive garbage foods. Please don't forget the long-term benefits as you seek the shorter-term ones. I noticed the improvement in your skin in this video as you professed you did not see a difference, btw 😉😊👍
Good stuff. I did keto and IF for 12 years and ended up stuffing up my electrolyte system. Go watch Paul Saladino for details as I had the same issue. Re-introducing fruits, honey and milk solved my issue (specifically bad palpations which electrolyte supplements didn't help with. However, a bit of honey and a fruit with each meal solved the issue within a week. I hazard to guess, this will happen to everyone eventually. So be careful about cutting carbs entirely. But also don't let your carnivore/animal-based diet become a fruit diet.
My debate against sugar and honey is that Paul's main issue was electrolyte deficiency which sugar and fruit help. He then moved to the equator where the is fruit all year and said "fruit is what i need" Where as anyone above latitude 30 or higher fruit is more seasonal. What is the answer to the electrolyte problem? Well humans aren't used to drinking spring water. Spring water is super low mineral. Humans used to drink ground water, stream water which rolled over rocks. They wouldn't need much water and would also get a lot of hydration from fresh blood etc. Stranded sailor lost at sea survived for months eating turtles he caught and drinking their blood. Man lost in Sahara desert found bats asleep in a muslim shrine in the middle of the desert. 1 by 1 he grabbed one, took it outside and killed it and drank its blood. Blood, ground water, stream water, and a lack of spring water all combined really didn't give our ancestors any electrolyte issues. Bad electrolytes mess with your thyroid and your testosterone. You can do strict carnivore without the drug that is sugar but you need to supplement minerals if youre going to drink spring water. Many carnivores like anthrony chaffee do not need sugar to keep his test healthy. Paul is smart but he is a sugar addict and unwilling to supplement electrolytes imo so started eated hundreds of grams of carbs daily which is unrealistic in many parts of the world. lol. Looking good tho bro.
Absolutely fuckin love your content bro. I'm really interested in this topic, as I aswell believe that the diet we have consumed for millions of years is the optimal diet, plus this diet is so tasty, of course. Keep it up bro, I'll keep supporting it!
Awesome video man! Slowly getting into Animal Based, was running Carnivore for a couple months felt great but also want some other options as well so adding fruit in
Great stuff! I eat similarly! I have been draining the fat off the ground beef lately and saving the tallow for cooking. I find that when I eat all the fat in the ground beef I get quite nauseous in the evening. Like you I have a big appetite. I dont like draining the fat because its extra calories that I want to consume. But it is a balancing act with the fat!
I'm on this diet for more than 2 years and I love this vidéo because I agree on every things like onions and garlic were bad for me and it was more than easy to get rid of vegies, the results in the gym etc I like to call this diet the Bear diet because a bear eat red meat raw fish fruits and honey And works better for me than the lion diet
Totally agree you should do what you feel is right for you. I've been doing carnivore for just over 2 months now without fruit. I had an immediate change in stronger teeth and mental clarity. Seems like anxiety and depression are limited to short periods and then dissipate. I'm on TRT so I'm not worried about the natural testosterone levels at this point. Keep it up bro... you're doing good....
@@marcoswolf I'm going through protracted Xanax withdrawal right now and it's causing me a lot of issues with sleep and fatigue being some of the main symptoms. I can't say if the diet contributes to it or not. I have not had any muscle cramp issues. I do have salt and drink an eloctrolyte supplement regularly. From watching Dr Anthony Chaffee's videos, he claims that if you have muscle cramps that it's usually a hydration issue as opposed to electrolytes. I try to include both.
About acne, in my case acne was caused by dairy protein, when I stoped eating dairy even raw I fixed my acne. I At least in my case sugar in fruit is not causing any acne.
Appreciate your experience bro. Would you say your workouts suffered with having fruit only as a carb source? And if it did, did you notice you adjusted and it got better after?
Nope, no negative difference in my workouts. I typically workout in the morning with a quick protein smoothie (strawberry banana) and feel good. The biggest change I noticed was the strength increase after adding in more meat. I'm also heavily addicted to pre-workout powder which helps get me going as well ❤️🩹
Muscles are full as well. Flexing in the mirror has never felt better. I am currently experimenting with adding rice to my diet for cost effectiveness. I think it might make me gain some weight, but have only done it for 2 days so can't say yet
I’m interested in your results with rice (in comparison to fruits). I’ve tried going full carnivore many times but always seem to run into sleep issues when cutting out all carbs. I know proponents of the carnivore diet say that carbs consumption is not necessary due to gluconeogenesis - but it just isn’t working for me for some reason. I definitely did lose weight to the point where my family noticed my abs ^_^ - however it is not clear if zero carb is actually sustainable long term. I tried fruits and honey but am concerned about pesticides and know fructose can stimulate hunger. So, for carbs, not sure if it is the best choice. White rice on the other hand is purely glucose that is stripped of all of its defense mechanisms. It may include lectin or rather something that is like a lectin. I’m not clear on that. However otherwise I think it’s a pretty clean energy source. Anyway, I have incorporated rice back into my diet and found I can sleep better and have less anxiety(I think). As there are a lot of confounding factors it is difficult to say (in my case) with certainty that white rice is better than fruits, I think a good comparison between the two is warranted. Fruit and honey would be awesome if we could eat them without issues - but things like glysophate free honey or fruits are just not widely available, so it is difficult to make an accurate comparison. Anyway, please share your results with rice if possible. I will also continue to experiment and will share any interesting results I find. Good luck!
On Paul Saladinos strict animal based eating, peppers and tomatoes are out. For me personally, these foods are better than the other processed junk so if weight loss is your goal go for it. Recipes is a good idea, stay tuned
I also love this diet (I’m also a gym person), but what I ran into is that I would get low blood sugar. My doctor was thinking it’s because of the low carbs. Did you ever run into that? How do you deal with it? Also, I struggled with maintaining my electrolytes which I supplement with LNMT. And how do u deal with cholesterol?
I havent run into any issues so far. I do supplement with electrolytes when I sweat a lot. Otherwise I haven't experienced any other problems. I'm not qualified to suggest anything regarding blood sugar or cholesterol. I'd suggest listening to Paul Saladinos podcasts on cholesterol on animal based
You are not cured if your stomach is still reacting to adding other foods. You need to work with a experienced gastroenterologist or nutritionist in addressing your gut issues or they will get worse and your cardio vascular system will start getting sick as well. You are young so you have time to fix this but remember, for ~70% of those with CVD, the first symptom is sudden death! I was one of the lucky ones....I was one of the 30% that survived.
Its worth a shot! Might take your stomach a day or 2 to adjust but after that you'll probably feel great. Commit to 1 or 2 weeks straight and see how you feel
fiber is not good for IBS or crohns as it irritates the colon, try strict carnivore for 6 months and then add one fruit for two weeks in small quantities and see. @the ex plant eater was vegan for 16 years and went carnivore now, she had ibs too , check her channerl another one carnivore who had ibs is lisa01
Frozen strawberries are a great snack! The closest thing you'll get to a crunchy chip. Over the last 3 months I haven't eaten much chicken but I will like start soon. Most likely will add chicken hearts as they are easy to meal prep
