ANIME NOOB REACTS... | Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood Episode 12 - "One Is All, All Is One"

Good observation, "Truth" image basically is a reflective of who get it. "I am the called by many names; I am the world, I am the universe, I am god, I am truth, I am all, I am one, and I am you." This quote from Truth related to this episode title "One Is All, All Is One"

Izumi is one of my favorites. I love that one of the most badass characters in the whole series is a disabled housewife. I find that people tend to forget that Ed is disabled as well. As amazing as automail is, it still has it's drawbacks. One of my favorite details is that automail doesn't have very good fine motor control, which is shown by Ed changing the hand he writes with. In episode 2, there's a brief scene where Ed is signing his human transmutation notes and he's writing with his right hand. But then in episode 7, when he's trying to decode Dr. Marcoh's notes, we see him writing with his left hand.

So some things to remember moving forward: - We have three enemies that have been revealed in Lust, Gluttony, and Envy. - They seem to have some sort of conspiracy and corruption going on that involves some level of the military. They were behind whatever was going on in the Fifth Laboratory, and have been able to find out things that they only could (such as that Hughes was putting together clues) that they only could know through the military. Also, Hughes made a point to use an outside line to try to contact Mustang. The military is not to be trusted. How high does it go? - They have little regard to human life, which is why they were using death row inmates to make the armored guards, and were behind what Father Cornello was doing in the town of Liore. They don't even seem to consider themselves human, and if so, then what are they? - whatever they are doing involves Philosopher Stones in some way, and they took Doctor Marcoh to keep him from revealing too much - they saved Ed from being crushed by the collapsing lab because he is a "sacrifice candidate". What does that mean, why is he a candidate, what is the sacrifice for? - these three seem basically immortal, as Gluttony survived being zapped by Scar, and Lust took a knife to the forehead and walked it off. They also have insane, inhuman powers. - Lust, Gluttony, and Envy are three of the 7 Deadly Sins. The other four are Greed, Pride, Sloth, and Wrath. If these three exist, can we go out on a limb and ask if the other four do too? Are they also immortal, and what crazy powers do they have? Are they characters yet to be revealed, or do we already know them? As for the Ed & Al side of the story, we find out that their dad is still alive and apparently traveling. Why did he leave? Where has he been all this time? If he does see his sons again, how far away in the show might that be? How will he react? How will Ed & Al react? Now that we've met Izumi & Sig, is there anything Ed & Al can learn to help them get their bodies back? Do they have a further part to play in the story? Also I wrote this comment before you got to the episode 13 preview lol, so yeah there's Greed! At least I didn't spoil that coming up. I hope I kept this spoiler free enough, just trying to remind you of some things we know and some questions we are looking for the answers to.

The just a housewife line never gets old

Ep 12 is very important ep, it gives you the 3 basic principles in alchemy (cycle of life is not equivalent exchange, it is another parallel rule or principle): 1. One is all, all is one. 2. Cycle of life is essential (Life is a cycle and Alchemy is life itself, hence circle [matrix] is essential to activate Alchemy) 3. Equivalent exchange.

I feel like a lot of us thought Sig was their teacher first time around lol.

Ah finally, azumi curtis, the second best written female character in anime and manga

Hell yeah, that next episode peek got you pumped. I love lore and character development as much as the next person, but I think we're ready for some action. From the sound of your enthusiasm, we won't have to wait long and I'm looking forward to it, take care.

Episode 11 and 12 are actually in pairs, while having children and give birth is called as "Miracle" in ep 11, ep 12 explains why. Some people have spent their entire life trying to get one, and this explains why all lives are precious and are the gifts from god. This is why Scar said creation is god's work, not alchemists'.

In DBZ there is no weight behind the deaths because you know they're getting wished back at the end of the arc.

Without spoiling anything for Bebop you are at a spot (in the next episode or two) where I think it's really going to take off for you personally and sink its hooks in fully... All I'm going to say.

Since nobody seems to have beaten me to this fact: slight dub error* (might be deliberate to tone it down a little) but the cost to her body on top of making her vomit blood... Rendered her completely incapable of having children. Which is deeply messed up....

I personally recommend not watching the "next time on" bits after the credits (After credits scenes are a must though) because they can tend to be SUPER spoiler at times but that is me. This one wasn't TOO bad but I figured I'd warn you.

Dear old dad has more going on than meets the eye, and you get to understand his reasoning more, but he is a pretty big dick at times.
