No one calls a blitz game like Sagar. Simply the best. It's not just the excitement and enthusiasm, it's the the tiny details both on the board and in the players' demeanor.
Sagar has earned exceptional rapport with Carlson, Anish, Hikaru and other top GM’s that causes them to open up in his interviews. I’ve watched a lot of his interviews, and I think its a unique blend of 1. Gleeful enthusiasm for the game, 2. high-level chess knowledge (can speak on their level), and 3. Empathy for ‘messing up/ choosing the wrong line. I think the last of these is extremely important because GM’s tend to be transparent about their blunders if they feel they are in a non-judgemental / empathic zone. A lot of other reporters ‘critique’ GM’s in interviews (with the benefit of their supercomputers) whereas Sagar seems to embrace the inherent insanity of trying to figure out perfection under time pressure.
Sagar's commentaries are terrific. I think this format works best, where you have one great person like Sagar rather than, say, a panel of different experts all saying little bits about the game.

What does it mean, when, after the game has ended, one of the players shrugs his/her shoulders, shaking the head in way one can't tell if it is sideways movement or no movement at all, thrusts both hands towards the board, and gestures vaguely at some pieces, pointing using fingers as if they are made of soft silicon, as if bending downward under the pull of the gravity, then retracting one of the hands towards the chin area, the other being kind of lost and abandoned, starts gazing in the general direction to the area where the roof of the building meets the top of the corresponding wall, screwing the eyes a little bit and making first a grimace and then twisting lips downwards, followed by hands again kicking into action like describes before, all the while not making any eye contact with the other person? Pray, tell me, please, tell me, what does it mean?
