They looked great and were stylish in the 80s, beautiful sisters. Why do people go on and on bashing their hair/fashion for the time? People will criticize 2017's style 30 years from now, that's life.
Isn't it funny to think that these 2 girls who have these sweet little talking voices and are so calm and mellow belted out the the rock ballad Alone!?! Pretty Awesome!! :)
Heart was really popular in the metal magazines in Europe, like Kerrrang... especially during their big comeback in the mid-80’s, and even early 90’s. So that’s probably what Nancy is referencing... as the metal magazines all loved to interview Heart at the time. Also, they kicked off their live shows with a 1-2-3 punch of hard rocking songs... many people new to Heart from the popular power ballads of that era, we’re surprised how hard rocking they were in concert! All the regular established Heart fans already knew and loved this though, of course!
Re: their look... Others have said it, but I'll say it again: that was the look in the '80s-- especially this kind of band. The '80s was about "big"-- big hair, big heels, big shoulders, big makeup-- not just the chicks but the guys. I remember in high school loading product into my hair to make it big. LOL! Fun times. I loved the '80s. P.S. Now I'm 42 and I sport a crew cut.
I love how chill and sweet they are and then tore it up in the 70's; pure rock n' rollers. The 80's were fun and they had hits; but things changed and now they aren't performing together at all 2019. 👎👎👎
@babyj1996 Because in the 80's - i assume long before you were born- the bigger, wilder and more daring the hair the better, also the company they signed up at the time (capitol) chose that image for them, high heels, fake nails, heavy make up, lace, cleavages, and very big hair.
@Forestski your right, I hate all rock ballads boy or girl, that is hardly their real hair. Heart was great in the 70's 80s just like all other 80's rock ballad bands.
