I’m glad I’m not the only one excited about reel mowers. I have a few manual and the SunJoe but I was on Craigslist the other day and there was an older gentleman selling a Tru-Cut H20 7 blade for $300. It needs a little work but I said the same thing “when can I come pick it up!” I’m out here in OKC and people just don’t know about the joy of reel mowers out here. This is my first gas powered reel mower and I think I may have just created a monster 🤭🤭🤭

Yes exactly but the gear ratio also has to spin the reel faster in less space.... when you get washboard the reel isn't spinning fast enough! Back back is looking decent! One more overseed and it should be poppin off hard! 😊🤙🏾

Your enthusiasm and energy shows you really love what you do. I never knew they was called reel mowers. I just remember an uncle had a push one that I loved to use when visiting. Just loved the sound of the blade and all when pushing and seeing how the grass flew. I might have to pick me up a manual push reel mower to play around with. You have any suggestions on a decently priced one for a beginner? That Snapper mower haven’t heard that name brand for a long time. It was the mower to have back in the day. @@YardBrah The knob makes it adjustable to all heights, in doing that, it isn't just moving the roller but it changes the angle of the bed knife so it remains "ready" ( not the correct word) to cut. I could not see for sure. I have it, as the Silent Scott. Made to run 100% relief. Set it a thousands away and no sound, easy to push. I was having spasms that you did not try it or touch it or show it.

Hey that atco is a nice mower, don't recognise that model, and very surprised it has a 10 blade cylinder, is it a 14" cutting width or 12"? If 12", I have never seen a 12" cylinder with 10 blades, most I have seen on 12" are 8 blades, that both my vintage Webb witch and vintage greens zephyr have. The modern Chinese made Webb weh12r, both you and I have, is the same body as the qualcast super lite panther from 1970 on used, but the difference being, the 70's superlite panther had a metal rear roller and top cover, not plastic rear roller and top cover like the weh12r has, so the older qualcast gives better stripes due to it being a lot heavier in weight. Let me know if you find out the model number of the atco you have👍

Only push mowers I have seen with 10 blades are models like the greens zephyr etc but they are all 14" wide cylinders, never seen a ten blade cylinder that is 12" wide.

@@YardBrah man I am jealous as hell about that atco, I can't find any info at all about it, or find any pictures etc on the internet, you have a super rare find there, I wonder if it has had a cylinder change in the past to give it a ten blade cylinder, or if it originally came with a ten blade🤔defo a mower designed for golf greens, bowling greens etc though. What I find with greens mowers is they normally have a very low maximum cutting height, my greens zephyr for example won't adjust higher than 14mm, so the only way to make it cut higher is to try and source some larger diameter front wooden rollers, or replace the front rollers with two larger diameter wheels. So love that atco you have, you are lucky to have found that, and for the fella to have parted with it, and sold it to you.

@@YardBrah I found the exact mower in the link above, funny because the fella says it is five bladed, but the picture of it he has, can clearly see it has ten blades, this is a strange rare one, if I find any more info, will let you know, but I suspect the one you have is this one in the picture, and maybe the fella sold it on to the buyer from the U.S.A.
