I might have to try this kit 🤔... I bought the beetles kit after your review. I prepped my nails really well and used the young nails protein bond. Those bad boys stayed on for over 2 weeks!! They probably would've stayed on for 3 weeks, but I got bored so I took them off lol
The review videos r so helpful coz even when ur doing ur own nails it can get a bit pricey so I'm always glad to see u test out products n give ur feedback on the product.
I bought the beetles one after your review and I've been loving it. I can't do acrylics yet, haven't even tried. But those are so quick and easy. I think I just love all of beetles stuff. I have their polygels and dip powders too. Not a fan of saviland dip powders.
Im livinnnnnggg for these dupes videos!! I was literally just looking at this product the other day , I’m always scared to purchase something and it not be worth it , thank you soooo much for thiss
I learned some things from this video. I have been using the Beetles kit for a very long time doing my nails at home, but I LOVE the on off switch on this lamp. And even though I've been doing my nails this way for 2 years, I NEVER thought of just brushing the overspilled gel out underneath! I always just use my bit and drill it out! I think you have sensitive nail beds too - I love the thought of that little gel lamp! Might pull the trigger on this.
These tips are gel tips! Someone taught me the other day that if you fold a plastic tip in half, the crease stays, and is white and won’t go away. But if you fold the gel tips in half, the white will go away and you won’t see the crease! I tried it on these tips and it worked! My plastic tips continued to stay white and the Bellavina didn’t. They are gel tips!
I just saw another review on this kit and I was waiting for yours but I did look to see if they were gel tips and the amazon description says they are 👀 🤷🏽♀️ I guess we gone find out 😬
Evie, I got the beetles ones a ways back but it was hell to remove and it damaged my nails pretty bad lol but I’m desperate to do it again. Did you just do a soak off?! How long does it take you to soak these styles off?
If you clip the enhancement short then file most down (I use my e file). I then take a zip lock freezer bag and pour acetone and oil (olive oil, almond oil or any of your choosing)in the bag (you don’t need much acetone, just enough to submerge your finger tips) with a square of paper towel. I then take a heating pad and hold it around the bag with my hand inside. I rub my fingers around for about 10 min. The heating pad warms the acetone up and the oil moisturizes my skin from the acetone. Then I use a cuticle pusher. The product melts off. This has been the absolute best thing I ever learned/done to remove enhancements. I use the beetles tips all the time so it definitely works on them. My natural nails are always in great shape after removal doing this.
I'm so surprised that you liked the beetles kit. I ordered their gel full cover tips, and they have no c curve, they're the weirdest shape, and I can only use them on my mom because her nails are pancake flat. Then I have to cut most of the tip off. I'm glad I didn't have to throw them away and found a use for them, but I will never order from beetles again.
I love how your outfits give subtle hints about the design. It's subtle enough that my guesses are in the ballpark, but I'm still surprised. Merry Christmas and Happy New Years to you!
Can you try the Saviland gel x dupe? It’s $22 and comes with primer, prep, glitter/rhinestones, a clipper and on top of that the nail tips are matte inside so they don’t have to be filed. I want it but I’m like 👀 it’s too good to be true, right?
@@AbsoluteApril its such a little thing to add but its a GENIUS idea! thank you so much for letting me know. im def gonna try them next time i need to purchase nails
I love these review videos so much! I do my nails 24/7 but I'm on a budget and it's great to know what cheaper things are worth the money. Thanks for the videos! ❤
Can I just say that you are quickly becoming my most favorite channel on all of RU-vid?! Not only are you teaching me how to do some thing that I have always wanted to do, but your videos are so relaxing and natural. I genuinely feel like it’s a friend sending me a video of them doing their nails to help me learn, which is rare on this platform as of late. Thank you for everything that you do! It really is appreciated. I hope you and your family have a great holiday!
Maybe the flimsy ones will work better for me. I have extremely flat nail beds and the full cover tips have started to pull up my nail plate from my natural nail bed. (I think I’m saying that right) Ive never had that problem until I started wearing these.
You may be using too small of a tip or not enough gel and too much pressure. You should be able to use really sculpted ones on flat nail beds as long as it’s not too tight or pinching. I’ve heard of this happening though! I’ve done it to myself with regular tips because they had too much of a c curve and I forced it down😅
I tried the modelones kit similar to this and the nail tips were flimsy too. They popped right off a few days later even after proper prep. The beetles kit has to be my favorite! They last forever.
I only have the Beetles ones. If you etch them and use a dehydrator, primer, and base coat they stay PUT. I love my Beetles tips. I just wish I could buy individual sizes. I will never use the tiny ones. My nails are huge.
So glad to see you again loved the live can’t wait to hang out again thanks for sharing Happy Sunday and Happy Holidays let’s see how this works for you I saw your Xmas decorations and your house looks beautiful
Hi Evie, I just wanted to say I absolutely love your videos, your vibes and energy are fantastic 🙌💞 Your videos make my day so much better and I've even started learning how to do my own nails from your content. I started an Instagram account a few weeks ago and just done my first set of dip powder nails tonight and they turned out really good for a first try!! 😊 Thank you so much for everything and keep do your thing gurl, haha 💕

Guuuuurl!! You're my nail mentor lol I'm learning to use different techniques and using different mediums because of you and I just really appreciate the time you take to do allllll these AWESOME videos. I am learning so much...thank you!!!
I’ve used Double Dip for two years and adopted their Magic Gelly Nails Kit as soon as they released. I get the separate sized boxes from their store-they go as small as 11!! The mini kit is too big on my pinky too lol
Got this product 3 weeks ago, and I absolutely loved the lamp. I also like the stones, it's a little better than the usual free stone with kits. Worth the money to me.😉
I have been using the Apres and Beetles, only difference I notice is you have more options of nail type of nail shapes--ie, short, long round etc with the Apres kit.. but basically they are the same. This one seems like a good dupe too! I loved your Gingerbread Man!!
I know my mum got me makart pollyjell kit (sorry for my spellings) for Christmas and I want to thank you for teaching me more on how to do it (ty I love you and your vids)
Happy holidays Evie. I am so addicted to your channel. Love all the products that you put up here for the newbies, as well as professionals. Most of the prices are really reasonable and the products are really good. I love your honesty on the products too. I put my money on LHPN when it comes to purchasing. Thank you and many blessings to you and your beautiful family.
I love love your videos so much, you have inspired me in so many ways to start doing my own nails watching your videos really gives me hope that I can do my own nails I love you so much and keep up the amazing work and keep surprising us with your outstanding nail skills
I have this kit, it came from the double dip mystery box back in September. Bellavena and double dip are sister companies. I love how easy this kit is to use. Edit: also the tips are NOT plastic they are indeed made of gel
Can you please review this viomuse EMA liquid monomer, acrilic french nail extensions kit, with 3 acrilic powder colors, with glue gel and 100 pcs Half french nail forms.
Omg I’m so glad I stumbled across your channel. I love that you don’t over explain, your voice is soothing and your saving me money. I really appreciate what you do and thanks for the content.
I do love Double Dip liquids for swatching or for the rare times I use dip lowers with liquids and not gel, but come on....keep your brand "on brand" instead of confusing the buyer with another name and reading the fine print to realize "I know that brand!" This does seem like the only full cover gel kit where you don't have to press down to keep the air bubbles out! Great video as always!
🎄I love the gingerbread man!🎄He’s so cute! I swear, you reminded me of myself doing those tiny lines and mixing steps around!😂🤣 I’m always like, “Dang! I forgot to--! “Shoot! I meant to--! It’s so funny!
The swatch on top of the polish lids is a GAME CHANGER!!! (I wish you could do my nails right about now. Acrylic and an e-file is probably not the thing to do when drinking adult beverages. Nothing. Good. Ever. Happens. In. January.)
Late to the party here but if anybody is using these type of tips, it’s really important to try and avoid getting it on your skin! Over time you can develop an allergy to gel if it touches your skin a lot, and I find that these kits cause gel to touch skin A LOT more than any other gel methods. They’re super fun and easy to use, but just a PSA as they give me itchy hands for days after application now 😅
I can’t imagine how many nail lamps you own by now Evie! 🥲 I would love to know if you or anyone else can suggest a good small lamp for me. I’m starting out practicing nail art/decorating and would love a smaller lamp for it. I’m in the UK 🇬🇧 TIA ✌🏼
I’ve been using the SUNUV 48W nail lamp for about two years and haven’t run into any issues! It cures everything from gel polishes to the Beetles nail extensions fine :) I got it from Amazon for about $40 USD
I love your videos! 💖 I used to be nervous about doing too much with my cuticles too🙈, I'm still too chicken to nip them myself, but I've been pushing them back and using a primer coat and I've noticed they look much neater and last longer.💅🏾 Thank you for sharing your tips and for the great content!🤩 Looking forward to more of your live videos🤗
I had to come and ty. I know I've said it before but I am 41 and have never so much as even had my nails done in a salon. Recently I started doing acrylics I started with using them over full tips and then finally did them just using tips. My first try and I've had many women asking me where I got them done. I even got the highest compliment coming from 3 of the actresses from the TV show Supernatural this past weekend 🙌 You and few other great lady's here on Utube have thought me so much already. Once again THANK YOU!!!!
Try out their full covers on the shop 🤩🤩🤩🤩 I can file those into any shape from the almond or the stilettos. Loooove those light though. I have a full size version of the C opening.
I so love to see Sailor Moon things when I watch your videos!! The crystal dappen dish (that's totally the silver crystal) and now the pocket watch!! I've always wanted one! Moonies uniteeee
These are so so cute! That sparkly red color is perfect and I love the gingerbread man🥰😍 I have the same mini nail lamp and it's the easiest one I've used for gelly tips! Also it's soooo satisfying when the top coat has a clear brush, it looks so good when you apply it and can see the nail under🥰😅
My question is how do you remove these? gel x tips are made of gel to be soaked off, but if these are just regular plastic how do you remove and soak of the gel underneath the plastic? would you have to file down all the way to the gel? or does the plastic melt under acetone as well?
I love this kind of system for nails especially for beginners! I stopped doing my own nails but you’ve inspired me to give it a try again😊 love your videos. Also I saw that Makartt made something like this too
Hi evie!!! Im super interested in this brands gelx dupe and kinda excited they're not on the thicker side because i would dip over them anyways lol so it tends to bulk your nail. Maybe these would be perfect for that lol interested to see how they hold up!!😁😍💅 your gingerbread man was too cute your super hard on yourself its all fun and learning right?? Tysm for sharing your thoughts these are always so helpful to us nail diyers
I bought this kit before I stumbled upon this video. I like it. I'm not one for long nails because I work alot with my hands, but my nails r weak and break easily, so I turn to artificial nails. I like the kit, the nails are strong and durable for me and last through some tough work, though I've had to take off 2 sets already because I didnt know you had to blend the cuticle area after application. Kept getting my hair caught when they would grow out. I'm on my third set and so far after the cuticle blend, they are growing out nicely. So, now I can really see how long I can have them on before having to take them off or if they break.
This may have been a dream but I swear a saw a nail video where the person used a gel polish (can’t remember if it was a base/top coat or a builder) as a slip solution for poly gel. So that may be why the instructions say that. I’d love to see you test that out!
