@@NW147yt this season has truly been modern nascar in a nutshell. An outside shell shining with potential like Atlanta, Kansas and Bristol spring, and action like no other Motorsport in the world, until you dive deeper in to realize the officiating standard changes within a single second, the championship system is a joke, the drivers are the best stock car drivers being forced to play in a circus, and now the relationship between the teams and NASCAR is crumbling with every race now….
@@HPC_Eric thats not the point. any other time if it was some golden boy they wouldve waited till they got in turn 1. they shouldve called it earlier and the conversation would be different.
The only thing is Parker Kligerman did not win the race it was my driver and Jr Motorsports Sam Mayer that's who won my driver from Jr Motorsports with JRM hands down I'm glad that this man wanted he was the real winner he deserve it the rear winner is Sam Mayer hands down he deserved it.? @mister_aidan09
@@JoshuaNazworth Well that and the fact that JRM themselves thought Parker had won, before NASCAR stole it from him. Glad you love your driver enough to see another driver get F*cked over. Keep licking those boots.
I don’t understand how anyone in NASCAR can even remotely defend this BS. NASCAR literally stalled on the caution for 38 seconds in Indianapolis when Ryan Preece spun with 2 to go and threw the caution when the white flag had already come out, now a car a buried in the tires for at least 15 seconds after TV found the accident, and they just stall until Parker is 2 F***ING FEET….from the line…..why do you do this to your drivers NASCAR? How I am as a fan supposed to be entertained by the most incompetent, appalling, and sporadic Motorsports officiating in the world?
@@busher69 it’s so stupid, they’re so hell-bent on throwing the race every which way with their officiating, yet their drivers can’t manipulate it themselves, and even when Erik Jones’ spotter tells him not to pass Denny Hamlin, they don’t penalize it? How am I still watching this sport?
Reminder that Preece at Indy wasn't the first time NASCAR held a caution for him spun out and stalled on the backstretch for a lap until the leaders came by on the final lap.
In the stands, we honestly thought NASCAR was gifting Parker the win by throwing the yellow AS he took the white flag so there wouldn’t be an Overtime. Track PA was announcing him the winner. Then the word came and EVERYONE around me at least was in utter shock. NASCAR really dropped the ball and calls like this are detrimental to the integrity of the sport.
Yes because they took too long .. it's an instant caution a car crashed that hard and stuck into a safety feature. It does seem like the long delay was an attempt to gift the race. I sure hope it wasn't because nothing against parker but that would have been so wrong
So in a span of a couple days, we had a senior NFL rules analyst admit on Thursday Night Football that Refs review plays not using the broadcast cam and only the raw feed that does not allow them to properly review a call. Now NASCAR is saying they don't have enough cameras around the track to see everything........ this should not be a problem for NASCAR, NFL or any sport in this day of age and technology in the year 2024. Pitiful.
I honestly can't blame Parker for quitting at year's end. He was probably slowly getting sick of all of NASCAR's shit and them taking his only potential win away was the straw that broke the camel's back.
After 45 years, I'm "stepping away". I'm skipping the race tomorrow and will watch an old race on NASCAR Classics instead. It's not Stock Car racing anymore, it's simply a very poor reality show with NASCAR writing the script.
@@isaiahmarker407 that's ok by me, I am looking forward to relaxing to a race with no stages, no playoffs, and no NexGen cars, just good racing I've picked the 1981 Carolina 500 from Rockingham
I think the guys in Race Control are blind in one eye and can’t see out of the other. I’d like to think there would be at least three “officials” searching the track, ready to call a crash/caution a few seconds after it happens. What if it was life threatening = time 👁️👁️
In my opinion the caution itself was justified. The problem was that they waited right up until Parker Kligerman was ABOUT TO CROSS THE START FINISH LINE. That car was stuck in the barrier for like half a lap and they waited until Kligerman was about to take the fucking white flag to throw a yellow. Why not just throw it instantly or at least a bit earlier? His car was legit stuck in the dang barrier. Mayer won, and he had the fastest car, props to him. But seriously NASCAR absolutely fumbled that finish.
NASCAR doesn’t have spotters stationed around the track to help see problems? I can’t believe that. Even our local tracks position spotters around the tracks. NASCAR just have their heads in ass.
It’s really hard to get into nascar just because of how much of a shit show the playoffs are. Remind me again why we can’t go back to the old format? Seriously do people think someone’s gonna pull a Matt Kenseth when nascar’s schedule has more variety than it did in 2003?
Ignoring the officiating and the legitimacy of GWC in the first place for a sec.. this was heart wrenching. You'd think I'd be used to it as a Sheldon Creed fan, but this was different. NASCAR should be decisive; either throw the yellow before or after Kligerman crosses the line. Do not, under ANY CIRCUMSTANCE, throw a yellow right before the leader crosses the line while the flagman has the white flag in his hand to toy with everyone's emotions and get people's hopes up before giving the fanbase a proverbial gut punch and putting 3 laps to go in the top left. I feel for you, Kligerman
Similar story, although I saw it as soon as the chase and playoff format entered into things. On the plus side, it introduced me to many other properly wonderful forms of motorsport after leaving nascar as a fan. DTM, Le Mans, F1, Australian supercars, MOTOGP, and so many others that aren't a complete charade full of BS and gimmicks.
@@gwynnblade9160 The Lemans race tonight was exciting although there was bs officiating at the end that nearly caused a fatal crash. I’m sure those officials got told they did the best job ever though!🙄
SVG had one of the cars to beat and his crew chief blew it keeping him on old tires with only a hand full of laps to go. Meanwhile the first 70 laps of the race was great the last 2 laps was SHIT and ones again Nascar blew it.
SVG car was junk ... No way he catches Sam from behind. I wanted SVG to win but it was pretty clear from stage one and 2 he had no way unless Sam crashed out Parker.
NASCAR is addicted to the drama of the overtime. If they'd responded with an immediate caution, I'd've not said a thing. But suddenly, someone somewhere made the decision to throw a flag with less than a tenth of a second of Kligerman taking the flag. I want to know who, and I want to know why. This is just another example of NASCAR giving fuel to their critics.
"Professional stock car racing".....Now there's an oxymoron if I ever heard one. This incident JUST adds more fuel to the fire regarding the current lawsuit AGAINST Napcar. No accountability...............bullies.......etc..............etc.......................etc.
Nascar is making there product harder and harder to watch week by week. Eric got this one spot on. Yeah I’m annoyed that Parker Kligerman did not win, but I was much more mad about the time they threw the caution. There excuse is BS.
Once again ASSCAR screws a great race up!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kliggy won this race hands down, He is a true class act. Taking the Bull Sh!t ASSCAR handed him with grace, but you could tell it was very hard for him. I was cheering him on not because he is my favorite driver or anything, but because he drove his ass off and deserved to win.
Bs he didn't win shit. Nascar tried to give it to him but he was too slow. Seriously the yellow should have come much sooner .. yellow was not a choice it had to be thrown .. waiting so long had all the spotters calling bs that they giving the race to Parker
Folks, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls. I hate to tell you this but nascar is going to do what nascar wants. Its their show. If drivers dont like it. Leave. Im not a driver, but I left the series cup and Xfinity two years ago. I cant stand this crap.
This was done intentionally. NASCAR is in the entertainment/drama industry now. Just like the ref pretending to be knocked out while the wrestler sneaks a steel chair into the ring. RIP NASCAR Racing.
Nascar race control may be the most incompetent officiating crew in sports. They had 15 seconds to make the call instead they waited entail the exact moment the leader took the white dumb controversy that was easy to avoid Eric estepp on X couldn't agree more.
Objectively NASCAR should have thrown the caution earlier and they still would go to OT. I will say they could have also just have let Kligerman cross the line and then throw it and the race ends under caution. Not saying their trying to be bias to Parker but they could have done that instead of throwing it inches before the line and then all this controversy happens. Reminds me a lot of 2021 Daytona Road Course finish where ben rhodes was in the same situation coming to win the race and they throw the caution and we go to OT. If your gonna make the call make the call don't wait.
In times like this, I am reminded of the saying "Do not attribute to malice that which can be explained by incompetence." I do believe race control did not know they had a car disappear under the tire barrier. In this day and age with instant SMT data, shouldn't there be some kind of automatic alarm raised to race control when a car sees an impact G-load or other major anomily? Inexcusable. Nascar didn't steal Kligerman's win, but they did crush his spirit, just like Carl Edwards before him.
I love it when a guy scrubs out with 2 laps to go just to make sure the race is ruined. Dramatic for sure, but it ruins an organic race finish every single time.
You know I'm kind of some Sam Mayer fan to and I wish Parker did win that race but here's the thing at the same time send me or deserve that win because he was a blow the cut line he was not above the cut line was below the cut line so I think he deserved that when so he could move on and we won't have to talk about this no more.? @irvingboy1122
Not a fan of either but why would Parker deserve to win when Sam had best car and had bad penalty on lap one of race having to make up lot places .. and Sam had to overcome the gearbox failing to shift from 3rd to 4th a couple of times ?? If that's a Sam fan I wouldn't want you.
@@Bogues_88 okay okay okay okay okay I get it I get it you know I'm not a fan of Parker eater but you know Parker should have won yes you're right but Sam Meyer was just had a better car hands down I'm fine with that I'm glad if he wins the Xfinity series championship for Junior Motorsports do you realize no one has one in that number one car what will be the first timer to win in the number one car you know I've been saying this the number one will get deep in the playoffs and he is and if he wins the it's for Xfinity series championship oh my God this is going to take off a lot of people going to offer that man a lot of rise Nascar cup series I do want Justin Allgaier to win this Xfinity series championship but if Sam Mayer win it great.?
Dont forget there was still a DVP mess in this race as well. Herbst was not on the clock with that bent trackbar and all the damage his car had from the wreck. I dont think he ran enough to get clear before slowing and having to bring it to the garage, since it happened the same time Creed's motor let go, that was also a very delayed yellow as you could tell he was not making it back on his own. But Herbst and his team were allowed to go the garage and fix parts related to the wreck, which should no be allowed.
After watching NASCAR 2001, things ran so much smoother back then; and with NASCAR's love affair with taking stock car racing and making it into [seemingly manufactured] entertainment, the sport can hardly be taken seriously now.
@@Garibuki imagine if his name was Dale Earnhardt jr.. they would’ve crashed Leland Honeyman directly in the tire barrier on purpose and then waited to call the caution after the white flag came out if junior was in the lead and they would’ve made 50 million commercials about it and $140 billion off of merchandise
As a JRM fan I was rooting for Mayer but I feel absolutely terrible for Kligerman, especiallyfor his last full-time season. We can thank OT and bad officiating AGAIN for screwing over the 48.
There were two correct options. Either option A throw the caution once Kilgermen crosses the line and boom fun cool winner. Or option B throw it as soon as Tv has eyes on the wreck. NASCAR chose option M.
If we threw the yellow in the name of “entertainment” I’d hope more people would be able to see it on the CW. This is a big L on NASCAR on many levels.
Ive been watching NASCAR since 1970 and this is the biggest bs call ive ever seen in all these years. NASCAR has become the biggest bunch of garbage ever
These officials and suits need to be booed loudly at the end of the year when they hand the trophy to the series champs. Boo them so loudly that no one can hear them speak and TV can't drown out the boos. At some point Nascar higher ups have to be held accountable. Maybe being booed by fans can embarrass them enough to get their act together.
The people running Nascar are either inept or hold their fans in such utter contempt, they don't care that we see right through their b.s. What they did today used to be reserved for the owners and promoters of the shadiest little race tracks back in the 50's and 60's. If the NFL was this obvious about fixing the outcomes of games, there'd be congressional hearings.
Watching football tomorrow. Never liked the Roval. Putting stock cars on a widened kart course isn't my thing. The fact that NASCAR couldn't find their asses with both hands when it comes to officiating, is nothing new.
Kligerman should have won, if they late that long to throw the caution they should have let it finish. What an awesome story to see him get his first win and get into the round of 8. True feelgood Cinderella story like a #15 making the elite 8. I wouldn't be mad if they threw the yellow 15 seconds earlier when they probably should have but throwing it that late was bs.
Like, I can tolerate overtime, but not with this officiating. Like, Parker Kliegerman was given a win and then accidentally taken away. It's like giving a really cool toy to the wrong kid, then taking it away and giving it to another kid. Just sucks
I agree, NASCAR waited way too long to throw the caution. That being said, there were no other cars near the #42 when they finally did go to yellow. At that point, waiting another .5 seconds wouldn't have made any difference for the safety teams response. I initially thought that was what they were going to do - let the leaders race it out to the S/F line then throw the caution.
All they had to do was throw the caution once he hit the wall plane and simple instead of waiting til Parker almost crossed the finish line on what would had been the last lap or if they were going to wait til after he crossed the line why throw it just before he crossed it?
Now I understand what the Nascar media meant about the timing of lawsuit, they give a new reason why the sport needs an overhaul every week it seems. the #48 drove his heart out and did everything he could to hold off the #1
