First lol.thanks for the video yall great to see a custom 308 as well I'm a die heart 308 win fan and it's nice to see them get some love.keep up the good work and God bless
Interesting stuff. Couple things of my 2 cents worth. 7mm rem mag blue box federal 175 shot as good as most anything out of my rifle also, Remington 175 core locks were just a little bit more open but a quarter still covered a 3 shot group at 100 yards. Recently picked up some Norma whitetail 150 grain and boy did they shoot great, which surprised me because years ago I went through all sorts of ammo to find what I liked best. We are talking like 25 years ago, I settled on the federals. Elk and Deer no problem, set up at 200 yard zero and with my old Leopold vx3, 3.5 by 10 by 44. Did everything I ever wanted to do. I haven’t shot anything with the Norma yet but most likely a great Deer round. Anyway, when you were talking about scopes, 4 power fixed would be the highest IMO for hunting. I hardly ever crank mine off 3.5, I’ve gone to 6 when practicing out to 400 yards but never shot at a critter at more than 300 anyway. I’m definitely not a long range hunter, don’t really see the need. Target is great fun at long range but my hunting has always been less than 300 or I get closer. In closing, why do wear sunglasses when looking through a scope ? My eyes like the brightest view as possible.
I really like your work and watch most of your videos. However I love Leupold scopes and for hunting these are the best do all you can get. The issue you’re facing is the wrong ring height and stock all the issues are easily solved with the right combination of components. Thanks
It's nice when a rifle comes out that good! As long as that's what you're going to shoot for ammo. I thought many people believe the 7mm rem mag was good for everything? I'm not a rifle hunter being from Ohio, so I don't have any experience with them. Have you looked into the 6.8 Western yet? It's close to the 7mm mag I believe. Nice video cute kid!
I think you should change the name of your outfit to…WOW! You definitely make some incredible rifles and it’s awesome to watch how they perform. Was wondering why you don’t use a lab radar? Just old school or is there a reason they are inferior? Thanks
@@quarterminutemagnums lol what a joke, magnumitis is alive and well I see, this is from a guy that hunts with a 300 WM, but don't try to tell me 30-06 and 300's aren't a real elk cartridge.
@@quarterminutemagnums with Premium ammo you can get 1500+ ft lbs at 600 yards+, more than enough for any elk out of a 300 WM. Most shots are going to be within 300 yards, shooting 800 yards should be avoided.
@@scubanator3990 Dear Sir - agreed. But, the wolves have changed every aspect of back-country elk hunting. I want massive amounts of down-range energy and extreme accuracy for the very limited opportunities encountered. Thanks...................
Brother, you can clearly make a great shooting gun. But your opinion on what people should hunt with needs to be kept to yourself. There's plenty of people taking Elk and big game in Africa with a Bow and Arrow 🏹 . 7mm Rem mag is plenty for anything in North America, especially with handloaded ammo less than 400 yards.
