Egg if U wanna win every game U play, pick loader and grab all the lunar items which give you hp (stone pauldron, transcendence) it removes your movement speed, but when you have enough grapples and 20k health you are basically immortal. Now spam bands and blah blah blah win
Egocentrism is also a tiny joke since it usually replaces the characters head with the ego, and it quite literally makes everything revolve around you, even your items
One time I played as artificer and my friend as loader. Needles to say he *RIPPED* and *TORE* through the game while I politely followed behind hoarding all items that I could. By stage three i grabbed Ego. We looped. By the time we got back around and went to the moon he couldn’t kill anything that got near me and I killed Mythrix within a minute. He was impressed.
Best artificer build is the Death Star, just amass a bunch of Fuel Cells, damage items (like glasses, crowbar, etc) and a Royal Capacitor... you just keep flying infinitely with the Artificer skills and spam the capacitor on everything it targets lmao the damage is impressive and with a bunch of Fuel Cells, the cooldown is basically none
@@slimeinabox Artificer works especially well because you don't need any movement items to be able to fly high up infinitely, so there's actually less work needed :v if you use the Ion Surge ability to launch yourself up into the air and hold the jump to slowfall, the ability will recharge in time for you to launch yourself up again and go even higher, so you can keep doing it until you reach sky limit. The capacitor has infinite range, so you can just zap everything from there hahahah
Ego orbs deal 360% base damage and you get 3(+1 per stack) orbs, meaning at one stack you can deal a little over 1000% damage, five stacks is 2520%, and 25 stacks is 9720%. Not to mention the refresh time gets shorter for every stack as well meaning the instant burst damage can very quickly be backed up by a very consistent amount of damage afterwards. All in all, ego is very fkin powerful
The refresh time does not get reduced at all for having more stacks... what happens is that the more orbs you have the longer it takes to brun thru your inital burst so that at at a certain amount you begin refreshing orbs before you run out of orbs to throw at enemies. All in all tho it is one of the wrost items in the game bc yku flat out cannot have any other item, no healing, no movement, no on hit effects, nothing and its damage very quickly falls off bc later on you NEED aoe damage which the orbs dont have at all

i love the idea of having ego build up, then finding a cleansing pool. You could keep the irradient pearls, but then scrapping all pearls & hope you come across a good yellow item printer
12:59 I recently learned that the “blast shower” equipment, not only does it eliminate all debuffs currently effective, but it also deletes any enemy AOE (area of effect) attacks. As soon as that big blue circle shows up, you can use the ability and delete it. That also works for the grandparent Sun effect.
As someone who is fairly new to the game, this actually is incredibly useful knowledge as literally a couple runs ago I died to a grandparent’s sun attack whilst having a blast shower somewhere on the stage lol.
On three separate occasions, regarding three different reasons, I realized Egocentrism was the strongest of them all. Ego is also the most consistent item in the game since it will always consume an item every minute, no matter what. It goes like clockwork even in realms where time itself is a foreign concept. Ego doesn't discriminate either. Item type, rarity, and quantity doesn't matter, everything is consumed all the same. It is the philosopher's stone of Risk of Rain. It might look like just another useless dumb rock at first glance, but once you learn It's true potential, it can turn lead into gold. I've seen many people collect between 4 and 10 stacks of Ego, dying due to skill issue, and branding Ego as useless shit claiming "It did 0 damage🤮". This is the sole reason for It's bad reputation. It's the story about the golden goose all over again. Egocentrism is an item for those patiently waiting. If you want true power, it will grant you Godhood.

loved the video egg :3 if you wanna improve in risk of rain, i highly recommend doing the eclipse gold climb, would give you ages of good content and ramp up the difficulty slowly enough to lean and in ways that teach you to play better.
Not going carbonizers when you go Ego would be silly. It is pretty much choosing to not make your extra star systems of death to not be able to walk onto your enemies
With the rate egocentrism takes items, you can easily have command on to stack only regenerating scrap to stack behemoths/scorpions in the bazaar. Besides the scrap/your choice of reds, just go with one of every white item to lower the chances of it being a valuable item taken
tbh, take as many regen scrap as possible, and then take any red at all... and then, just go for the red to white cauldron on the moon. it'll turn one red into a few whites, so more easy egocentrism
In game, the orbs movement is tied to the game time. Whenever the timer stops the orbs stop moving. That is why the orbs stopped moving in the bazaar between time.
You can istakill any boss in the game (Mithrix got multiple stages so doesn't help as much) with Lost seer's lenses and brilliant behemoth due to behemoth's explosion proccing off Lenses instakill and inheriting the effect. Behemoth's explosion bypasses the instakill immunity check of bosses so it's pretty cool. Also i think Ocular HUD increases the lenses procc chance but don't quote me on that one, havent fully tested it yet.
A potential build, although unlikely to occur would be getting this item. Using it to get as many lunars items as possible, turning them into pearls. Getting at least one irradiant one and then using a shrine of order to turn all your other pearls into good ones. Not too hard until the shrine of order roll, but hey someone might do it some day.
I remember dying my first few times doing fuel array to get to Rex as engineer. I didn’t know why I kept dying, but I later found out that what was happening was my turrets would get to half health in the void fields, explode and put me to half health, and then I would explode
Going for the auto win strat? Try the MUL-T + Disposable Missile Launcher + Radar Scanner + Gesture of the Drowned + Fuel Cell. MUL-T can hold 2 Equipments Disposable Missile Launcher auto targets everything on the map Radar Scanner reveals everything on the map Gesture of the Drowned auto fires whichever equipment is active and reduces the cooldown Fuel Cell reduces the cooldown further and add extra stacks Result. Instantly kill everything, instantly find everything
Heya, pretty sure for the Aloy worship unit and Vagrant, what is oneshotting them is actually getting pushed into world collision above a certain speed. You can get this fairly consistently with the Swordman's dash ability, touching them right after the actual dash animation. You basically still have the velocity of the dash but aren't dashing anymore so collide with the boss and can push it a little bit. Slam dunk them into the ground and they'll instantly die, sometimes :D
Idk if you ever try any mods but there's one popular pack that has red items that both give you extra items on level up and another that decreases your level whilst keeping your base stats. Essentially you keep yourself in a loop of lowering your level and getting insane amounts of exp scaled to where you actually are in your run, meaning you spawn a ridiculous amount of items. Also black monolith lets you use altars more than once, meaning you can use a mountain shrine unlimited times depending how many monoliths you have - spawning another copious set of items.
yeh i’ve tried it, found that it tends to be balanced quite differently that it feels almost like a different game, do love spamming mountain shrines tho
11:37 wouldn’t ego still consume the broken watches since they stay in your inventory? If so then you could at least have the damage buff for a while until you go under the health limit and then it’s just another stack for it to eat
fairly sure broken watches, used flasks, tonic afflictions, etc. are all seen as discarded items and can’t be traded in for anything but there might be exceptions iunno
you can use the vase to go on top of the pillars. it has to be a cluster of three though, because being any lower than the tallest pillar will put you in range of his a attacks still. basically you can cheese the entirety of stages 2 and 3. he wouldn't be able to get high enough to hit you with ego

Just lost a railgunner run to egocentrism because I got scared it would ruin my build, so rushed to find a cleansing pool and somehow managed to lunar seer into the void to fight voidling, I did not win the fight
As horrendous as it sounds, I suggest getting lunars to also feed into ego. Try to get ones like visions, light flux, or beads that are less impactful to you (or more specifically the character you're playing)
yeah this is a great idea, i considered funneling a bunch of visions for me and my turrets but thought going newt and re-rolling for max stacks every stage would be a bit broken
Here me out, this set plus 10 focus crystals. The orbs have small range and each focus crystal makes the range of the crystal bigger and basically double your damage
"As you can see I am definitely not that good at the game." Proceeds to not stop moving for like the whole run while spin sniping everything with rockets and orbs.
If you're wanting to wait for egocentrism to take your items, I'd recommend finding a gold altar first. Time doesn't scale in that zone so the enemies will get wrekt when you finally leave with full ULTRA EGO.

I was experimenting with egocentrism once and at roughly 100 stacks you have enough bombs to have continuous damage from it as long as an enemy is in range. Sure why would you want 100 stacks if anything would run better. I did it for the lols and it was quite hilarious
@@TheNavigator4552 I feel that I would rather just input 1000 coins... Otherwise I just run command drizzle and go for celestial portal for 15 coins and it's just as fucking easy but time consuming. Have to on console.
The main thing about EGO is that it requires you to over stack items. Crit glasses? give me more than 10 of those. You're gonna loose a few. Reds are basically useless with ego since you'll likely loose them all then stacks of whites/greens. Equipment is VERY rarely consumes if ever, so putting something like vase here for mobility is great. But also yeah stack mobility as much as possible and whatever you do, DO NOT turn into heretic. You will loose all your abilities and then die from health degeneration.
In one of My first runs when i watched no RU-vid videos (like 3 days ago) i got that item and Lost My run at the end cause i didnt know it was slowly eating my ítems until the end fighting that dud in the moon, and thats how My first ever easy mode run died 😎, then I WANTED to try to skip into HARD mode and didnt get past the first área after about 2 days and then RU-vid helped me 🙃
Egocentrism is probably my favorite lunar item for the simple reason it's SO INCREDIBLY FUN to use. It's obviously incredibly busted, so I don't use it in serious runs, but it's genuinely just funny to throw in sometimes
