Another Byrna Fail!

After successfully repairing the spring retention retainer on my Byrna and testing this past Saturday I now have an unrelated issue! Byrna saw my first video and recognized the spring issue was their fault and called me. Hopefully they will repair it this time!

This is why I originally went with the Tiberius, First Strike, PepperBall lineage because they are so user-friendly, easy to repair, and the parts supply chain is extensive. I just never liked the idea of relying on a "black box" launcher that I can't routinely inspect. With that said, the Byrna launchers are very attractive but this is why I don't carry one.

I completely understand! I also have an FSC and many Umarex and very easy to mod and have pretty good power! My Byrna sd and TCR have been solid performers and they do have excellent customer service on their side! Thanks again for dropping by your comments are always appreciated!

My LE failed out of the box in the same way. The air would completely exhaust on first trigger pull. Byrna repaired it and let me keep two extra mags. Haven't had problem since but rarely use it.

how many CO2 cartridges have you used or how many shots have you fired since then?

@@juanpablojimenezmoreno5117 Two to three cartridges. 10+ rounds. The original LE did not work at all. It always exhausted the cartridge. In contrast, the replacement LE worked every time. I stopped testing it.

Once you start fixing the Byrna, that should void the warranty. Send it back.

It seems that the LE model has been problematic. My SD has been flawless and knock on wood my LE has been as well. Lots of videos though with both the issues you have shown.

Wow. Kind of losing my faith in the LE. Only had it for a month too. Was thinking Gavle, 1.5, but I just don't know. Was hoping to upgrade from pepper spray, but am reconsidering. I did tighten up those screws on the LE though.(not too tight though of course) Will be paying close attention to your channel!

I have alway had a love/hate relationship with my Defenders! I do carry one in my van and charge it once a week, it has its advantages not being C02 based! Thanks for watching!!!

@@airgunnerreviews7888 I actually carry a glock 20 (10mm) but the less lethal community makes great training guns and the innovation in air gunning is great. The burst disc's in the AEA defender and the way it has to create a vacuum to release the air is the weak point in the design. One opening for filling and releasing the air is way simpler and reliable and does away with burst disc's all together! Check out the Girandoni air rifle designed in 1780 with its Buttstock air reservoir. So much simpler and reliable

@@airgunnerreviews7888Just when you think you got it licked. There is a small torsion spring that probably slipped but it is strange you got off all those previously rounds without issue.
