Thank you for the video. I just sent my LE back for the second time in two months for spilling out all the CO2. Valve repair and confirmed issue the first time, maybe same thing again?? Super frustrating for the $ spent.

That is super frustrating! Hopefully they will get it right this time, good luck!

I would like one of these but, for the price, these problems are not acceptable. Especially, failure when the Byrna may be needed! I think I'll shop around a bit more. Thanks for posting. 👍

Your reviews are excellent. I’ll spare you the details, but I’m done with Byrna. I had the LE which failed, was replaced and failed again. Replaced the LE with the SD, and that failed too. So many repairs during all this, many trips to the UPS store to send the models back to Indiana. Reliability is crucial. Imagine being up against a firearm with a Byrna. I’d rather not. Will be looking at the Salt Supply S2.

I feel your pain, they replaced my original failed LE and with in two days the second one failed, when repaired they do not have the same power! The salt S2 is a little harder to conceal and heavier but it offers very reliable and consistent fps and is a work horse at 1/2 the price of a Byrna!

You make some important points. Unfortunately, troubleshooting and repair are part and parcel of the less lethal experience. Most launchers aren't typically the most durable devices even operating at stock pressures. They are still built to a "paintball" quality, even some that are labeled for less lethal use. The field is evolving and sharing this info helps.

You are so correct, you practically have to learn to be a gunsmith to be in the less lethal world. Thanks for taking the time to watch!

My LE Did The SAME Thing! Fired It 15 Times And I Quit Working. I'm Disappointed. Byrna Sent Me A Return Lable So Hopefully I'll Get It Back In A Few Weeks And It Will Be Good. I Ordered it 05/02, got it 05/09 quit working 05/11 sent it back 05/17, now i wait.

I’m sorry to hear this! My original LE was sent back twice before Byrna sent me a new one which broke in two days! They repaired it but doesn’t have the same power or consistency. I would chronograph the FPS when you receive it to compare with other RU-vid videos. Here is a link to a cheap chronograph I own and it reads very well indoors or shaded ares outdoors, it does have mixed reviews but reads less lethal markers real well and only 39.99! amzn.to/3wGuPDe Good luck!

Honestly, we shouldn’t have to take apart our guns all the time and they do fail a lot… Which is kind of sad

Great informative video. It’s a very complex marker for the average person to work on. I am very disappointed with Byrna in many aspects. But for the price they charge. This should not happen. I’ll still say I would not trust the reliability either. I had two Byrnas that broke under normal use. Honestly I know you’re not a fan of carrying the Umarex line. But the Umarex modified are still the most reliable and simplest to repair for the average person. And the reliability is definitely better than Byrna. Also DK Spencer just posted a video or two about his poor experience with dealing with the Byrna company. 2025 Grimburg is set to release a Solstice. Which will have a quick peirce and 44joiles of power. I’m holding out for that one. In the meantime I’m sticking to my modified Hdp50 Thanks for the great video good luck with customer service over there at Byrna. Hopefully they will learn RU-vid guys like you and DK are really trying to do good for them and will start to step up to the plate. Thanks

Thanks for dropping by! You would think by now there would already be a reliable powerful less lethal marker that offers the pierce and shoot technology! The Solstice sounds promising if Grimburg can pull it off, Umarex definitely makes several solid markers it would be nice if they could make them just a little more compact but still offer a good punch!

Seeing a lot of issues with the Byrna LE…😢 I think I’m gonna go with the EP!

I watched the SD model being taken apart and has the same barrel design, hopefully this is just a fluke! Byrna has great customer support so I expect it will be fixed with no issues. 🙏🏻. Thanks for watching!

You are welcome. Thanks for your video as well as i was not aware the retainer was removable which gets the wheels spinning. Good investigative work too bad they backed out again. Maybe some loctite retainer would hold the pins better? Is the compensator creating any extra friction? I would fix it one more time and fire it without the compensator just for curiosity.
@airgunnerreviews7888
@airgunnerreviews7888 7 месяцев назад
I had to google Loctite retainer (for dummies like me😂) and it looks promising! Good old Amazon should be here tomorrow and I will try again. There is absolutely no friction from the compansator. Thanks again for all your awesome videos they are a lifesaver!

Anyone else think this is a ridiculous design? I'm not very experienced with airsoft and all the designs of airsoft guns... but regardless, this looks like a terrible design to the few others I've seen in the past. (and I don't mean super expensive, high quality airsoft guns, but just the few regular one's I've seen repaired).
@airgunnerreviews7888
@airgunnerreviews7888 7 месяцев назад
I would say it is a very unique design compared to the modifications I have made on my FSC and Umarex launchers mostly due to the fact there is no firing bolt. Thanks for dropping by!

Umarex HDP with valve block deleted or the Grimburg Gavle for ultimate power and the pepperball TRP are pretty good choices!

@@airgunnerreviews7888 Much respect for this channel and your quick reply. I plan on returning my LE (over priced and may not be as reliable as advertised) S2 will be with me for reliability over all others. For a cc I wait patiently for the grimburg solstice.
