Another life-saving feature in DaVinci Resolve most beginners don't know. 

Want to endorse Learn color grading, I signed up several years back when brand new to everything film, including editing, color grading and took Learn Color Grading classes because he taught using DaVinci (my first and only nonlinear editor) and this guy is worth it.

I'm new to Resolve so this tip is an absolute game-changer!!!

You can also do this in the media-tab. Go to the file in "media-storage" and right-click on the file. Select "scene cut detection" and now a new window will open and let you play with settings to detect the scenes. It can than be imported into the media-pool as cuts instead of complete video file.

I already knew scene cut detection tool, but didn't know that i could use it in the edit page. Being able to undo a cut can be very useful, considering that when this tool is used in media page the cuts can't be undone, if I'm not mistaken. Thanks for the tip!

To my knowledge this only works in the paid Studio version.

I'd have to look it up, but I believe there is a menu option/key stroke combo that quickly removes all cuts- so could use this trick to cut everything but then afterwards highlight the clips you want to merge and quickly remerge

I always use this feature, could not imagine myself not using it :D

It works well unless there are scenes with transitions like cross dissolve.

Can you explain the entire process to achieve great quality video from scratch to export with using multiple camera footage except editing sound and colour Like project settings timeline settings export settings all in one video

This option is not showing in my DaVinci Resolve free version I'am using Windows 11.
