Hello , i have problem with resolve , cant enable or disable nodes (ctrl+D) during playback , ots only work when stop playing , i try to uninstall resolve and re-install , not fixed it. Thanks in advance.
There are three main ways to adjust contrast: -Contrast wheel : fastest, will loose data and give a distinct look, -Gain + Shadow wheel : favorite method, works for most of the shots, doesn't give much look, -White curve : takes more time but is the best method for shots that need a lot of adjustment and dynamic range, doesn't give any look.
Thanks. This is great. Also then if you already have a good selection in the timeline and want to save it for reuse you can use match frame and then enter the markers.
I think they are really really smart by doing this. Finally they will be the biggest company in this industry! For example i love davinci, and because of that my future hardware i wil buy from blackmagic design. There camera's are top notch and i love blackmagic design on the other hand for giving me free software to develop myself as a filmmaker. They have a bright future, for sure !!!
I'm not sure if the time taken to name the markers make us gain time instead of IN and OUT. It's a different way of work, maybe better for very detail pre-planned editing like in documentary.
We have already released most of the updates, and more are coming soon over the next few weeks. Please keep in mind that Resolve 19 is still in beta, so things might continue to change. Existing and new subscribers will always get free access to all updates.
@@LearnColorGrading my dashboard at filmsimplified looks the same (with my prior % completion figures still showing) Do we need to refresh it somehow to get the new content?
What do I do if I followed the first step of trying the auto correction on each colour channel and it still doesn't work? It looks really grey out and washed out. What could have possibly gone wrong? I'm using 18.6 free version BTW.
Glad to see you producing videos again! I still have access to the bundle pack I purchased almost three years ago. I learned a lot from those courses. Now, I'm going to view your fairlight course because sound is so much fun too!! I must confess to rarely using the curves these days, if at all. I am a BMD production house and I only shoot in BRAW. My current film project was shot on location at a restaurant that was a WB nightmare. My color correction procedure is to first check the clip itself and make changes from there, e.g. exposure, tint and color temp. From there I learned a process using the "blob" on the vector scope and the offset dial. A million ways to do things in resolve! I am fortunate because I grade as a filmmaker/artist instead of being trapped in a client/vendor scenario. Many thanks to you for helping me find my way.
Funny: just finished black and white video. White bellflower on black background in color. White has all color shades in it. But sometimes we don't want our vids reflect realistic colors. 😊
That’s really helpful stuff for a noob like me😂 but I’ve got the idea of „the node tree” I would call, so basically u tell resolve what color system you use, and it translates information to fit it to your monitor, I’ll try to work on dcp-I and rec709 as my monitor support 100% of this color spaces.
2 years ago? Time for an update. Thanks RU-vid algorithm for showing this video to me. Thanks Alex! You're the man! I appreciated that! ❤ (I hope to find LUTs that will help me turn the brown water in my river clips to turquoise 😊).
Thanks Alex. And thanks for running your July 4th sale all of these years. Along with several of my friends, I have benefitted enormously from your course and your RU-vid posts, all of which I highly recommend. The fact that I can continue to use your course for review and to get up and running on new features has been invaluable. Cheers.
The horizontal space on curve value is extremelly high.. Align "horizontally" is relative.. since any single move do horizontal can change drastically the color.
Well you can clearly tell you are a great teacher by taking time to speak clearly and timely most people that make this kind of videos they are Not teachers and they just want toshow you how to do it, Big difference.
The email we just received from you is the first. It seems like maybe the previous email was sent to the wrong email address? We will respond to your email shortly.
Can you tell me, whether it is possible to track an effect such as a vignette on an object or something similar? Can you explain to me how this would be possible? many thanks!
