I see the new addition has the tow cable already installed so it is ready to participate in the "Stuck Contest" however with your current lack of moisture stucks may be few & far between.
Haha thanks! Yeah, equipment/farms can be on different scales depending on where you go in the world.... if you are ever on this side of the pond, be sure to look me up, and I ll give you a tour of the province 👌🙂
@@mikemitchell2554 Does this offer reach out to anyone else haha? I m thinking of taking a trip to the US and Canada and visit some farms. I can help for a day if you need someone to do some scrappy jobs haha.
I'm going to guess a used 620 Quad. Or maybe another 9620RX. I see him going used with the markets and weather as it is, so would rule out the newer 640.
It’s been a while since I’ve watched your videos mike. Glad to see the channel has grown! Been watching since 20k subscribers and I love your guys’ operation!
Used tractor prices have gone up almost as fast as soy bean prices. $16.48 per bushel yesterday. No wonder equipment prices are high. Hope your grain prices are going up. Can't go wrong with a John Deere!
Or is it just the high flow? Id like that kind better because you can actually put the short scraper drawbar on then if your pull a direct mount scraper a little too
Sounds like Mike father is looking after the money and going for something cheaper to get by, nothing wrong with that get some oil on the seat and crack on. A lot cheaper than financing fendts. Most likley get on better and you can always upgrade the tyres
That is a great tractor except it is a JD. At least it is wheeled and articulated. I love those big duals. I think you are very smart buying a used tractor like that versus a new one. However, those tractors are known to have transmission issues.
I’ve never seen a 9R...they are not in our area. You know I have a 1050 and 1167. I’m really curious how the 9R performs. We share similar thoughts on the Fendt’s. I have made some improvements going to VF tires, we shall see this season how big/little the improvement is.
Love the hockey ring , haven’t played in 50 plus years,,move from Minnesota to Florida long ago, the old heated box next to ring to warm up in was were you clowned around,,,was dad a player and does he still skate
I didn't see the installation of the safety hooks to secure Chapel's car seat to the buddy seat. Still have time before tractor actually hits the field.
@@gavinperry7237 I dont think she will be kept out of the cab all planting season. I'd bet she comes and makes Mike have some Father Son time while she take a break.
Lots of good value in used iron nowadays! Very difficult to justify massive investment in a new machine when you can run used and keep a lot of money in your pocket or buy land which doesn't depreciate.
Smart move on buying used equipment Mike, it’s shameful what John Deere is charging for farm equipment. I’m in the construction industry and we’re looking at buying two or three year older equipment as well.
Tune it to match the 9620 hp put an 84’ drill to compare traction slippage? Are you going to acquire a drill for north farm instead of the fiasco of roading?
This is actually a scraper special. the 3/4" SCV couplers give it away and you can see where the scraper special sticker was on the hood if you look close enough.
Just a heads up those 800s on there will make it hop at about 18mph going down the road. Our 9560r on 800s hop bad and the 9620r on 520 triples are very smooth.
well tbf, price wise, there is a 1162 listed not TOO far from (at least not far in mikes mind, just under 700mi) from mikes location. has ~500h. a 9620RX with similar hours is listed on the same site for roughly $100k more, so... ye. who knows
Lsw’s ain’t if or vf either. That’s where Goodyears marketing gets you. Most of the lsws call for more then 35-40 psi. Had a lot of warranty problems with them as well.. Firestone or Michelin VFS are your best bet for maximizing your floatation.
Mental to not have a engine brake on that tractor haha, weird that they dont have that. We dont buy tractors without it, not that we cam afford new tractors anymore.
Mike..LOVE your content/vidros. Just outta curiousity...is there a video where you explain or talk about why you appear to be going away from the fendt tractors? I know you had a lot of issues with the combines. Just curious on the tractor end of things.
If I was in charge of fendt I would have been sending a crew out to mike to sort out the non cold starting tractor FOC and ASAP. Just shows they are not bothered even for somebody with this much media coverage
Mike you should look into Goodyear LSW tires for that considering the amount of road miles you drive, it will ride a lot better and it reduces wheel hop and compaction in the field
Mike, Never stops to surprise and entertain, .. all these comments about you need a different shop or new building? There are a couple places in the area ranging from 5000 to 50,000 acres.. who do 90% of their repairs within a month of the field operation, in the equipment lot or in field? Noticed you have a big two bay shop, that combines fit inside! Remember sometimes you gotta just pat yourself on the back & go on doing it your right way! Aye!
Mike i wait for 2 Trucks, one is sitting at the coachbuilders shop since 5 Months waiting for its crane and hook loader, and the truck is paid.. 4axle.. 4 excavators and 2 Payloaders were "resheduled" to fall maybe 2023 and no, dear Stealership, you wont get your dirty hands on any of the trade ins, untill the new equipment is deliverd to my yard. And i think you hand it the same way. You getting a big tracked Fendt at least an 1159MT..arent you... i would bet an awesome pair of worktrousers on that... Mike with all the shit going on in the world, I wish you and your Family to have an awesome farming season, the world will need Canadas crops. Pray for Rain... Prouced by my favorite canadian farmer.... but still remember, the job is called Farmer, not Harvester. Btw If you need Engelbert Strauss Support, let me know, their HQ is just 80 miles down the road, so kinda neighbours in canadian measurments.
