I truly don’t understand why people are so opposed to either drugstore or luxury makeup. Why can’t we just like what we like and all get along? Just sayin 🤷🏻♀️
So true I love both high end but also I have found some amazing-priced gems that I will buy forever. I do think that some high-end products come with amazing formulas but other are just overpriced pisses of junk 😂😂
Yes I am all about just playing with makeup and if it’s drugstore great if it’s luxury great ! I do a mix of drugstore/affordable & highend/luxury makeup on my channel because I love both worlds. If I find something that works for me I don’t care if it’s affordable or expensive 😅 I am just truly enjoying the product itself and how good it makes my skin/face look after all 🤷🏻♀️ don’t get me wrong I love my luxury makeup but I also find amazing products from the drugstore I can’t live without now ❤

I only have approx.15% "DrugStore" makeup in my collection. Many parent companies of the higher end/ luxury brands use the same or similar formulas in their more affordable lines. There's approx. 8 major cosmetic conglomerates that produce the bulk of major brands we see. I find that beautiful and luxurious packaging adds to the experience for me, but I know that's inconsiquential to others. "Drugstore" has come a long way since I started wearing makeup in the 70's, and paying more doesn't always guarantee a better result. However, where it's manufactured, the ingredients, and the packaging all play a role for me, and determine what "affordable" makeup is worth it for me. Your look was beautiful as always. My favorite UD single is Scorpio. Love me my smokey eye and nude lip.
I also have been loving the new matte formulas! I'm definitely feeling the matte and higher coverage look too these days. It's nice to have a change from all the glow and be able to get beautiful base formulas that I can use even with my dry skin

I attended a formal event the other night and used the ELF halo glow as my foundation. I wasn’t planning on doing so but after putting it on, it gave me just the right coverage and glow! I used Catrice concealer and Makeup Revolution’s cream bronzer over it. Honestly I’m so pleased with the results! It lasted all night. And for someone who struggles with finding the right foundation shade, this newly discovered routine might just be the trick for me.

I feel the need so strongly to say I think you’d LOVE the Chantecaille Lip Veil. It’s what this Makeup by Mario lip serum wants to be when it grows up. It’s an astounding formula. It’s like the Victoria Beckham lipstick but a *touch* creamier. It’s divine and I don’t even like to use that word but I have to in this case cause that’s exactly what it is!

I enjoy your reviews on luxury makeup and your skin tone and taste is very similar to mine. I think I would appreciate your opinion on drugstore dupes for lip products or even setting/finishing powders. The luxury versions of these products are so expensive and it seems there are many lower cost drugstore alternatives that would work just as well.

I just tried this foundation today as well. I normally wear nothing or just an extremely sheer foundation, but I got a sample to try to change things up. The first thing my mom said was I looked as smooth as a rose petal. And I have to agree. I've never seen my skin so perfect. Lol! I did enjoy it, but I have dry skin and found it to cling slightly to some flakes. A thicker cream underneath should help that.
Probably! At the moment I don’t have any dry patches, so I can’t speak on that! You should try it with a rich moisturizer, cause it is such a stunning finish AND it lasts all day long!!
You look stunning. I am seriously loving this whole look. Those Urban Decay shadows were a big favorite of mine "back in the day" too. I love many of the Tom Ford product and look for them at The Cosmetic Company. I especially love his lipstick in the color Casablanca. 😊❤️
I agree with you, I’m so over fragrance and products. I feel like I would be able to use so many different brands if they were just knock off the fragrance lol.

Yees loved that haul Tania ! I love the elf halo glow one of my go-to for a radiant skin day and I just bought that YSL foundation I am so excited about it haven’t tried it yet but will put it to the test this weekend for a wedding I am going to and see if it wears well and is transfer proof and water resist proof as it claims to be from am to pm with all the sweat from the dancing floor on the evening lol 😂 thank you for the review it seems very promising and I got the shade M2W and I am a warm olive gal so I hope it will match me perfectly 🤞🏻

@@TaniaBWells just make sure you get the right shade, I got warm medium but it runs pretty yellowy/orange so I had to buy neutral light to mix . I think neutral light might match you best but as long as the shade works you'll probably like the formula!
Oooh I love the urban decay moon dust eyeshadows too! I recently got solstice and the crystal white one on sale at Ulta. And I used space cowboy a ton this summer 🌞
Love the look you created! I’m a big fan of the TF foundation too. Need to try his liquid liner & glosses. I had the same issue with the Makeup by Mario lippie and I returned it because it was too soft and “clumpy”. Adore his lip liner though, and his pencil eye liner is one of my favs.

So funny, as I was getting ready this morning, I was watching your video and I had the Elf sitting in front of me ready to use for the first time (I loved it, but as you said it is different from the CT which I also love) and then you mentioned the UD Moondust ( I have all 5 and you made me dig them out) and I ended up using space cowboy🙂 along with the new Mario palette (i'm obsessed with the color story)I recently purchased 2 of the Mario balms (love them as well) however because they are so soft I use a lip brush and that ends up working well for me. Those Makeup By Mario Moisture Glow lip serums are my favorite but I do prefer the ones that don’t have the shimmer better. You should try the Honey Glow shade and the Blush Glow shades are my favorite without the glitter. They are the perfect nudes.

Coincidentally I was finally able to get my hands on the elf halo glow liquid, received it yesterday and I fell in love. I agree with everything you said in comparison to the Charlotte tillbury one. I picked up the light medium shade 3 and now im on the hunt for shade 2 lol.

Definitely pop the Mario lippy into the fridge, it will really help in application - don't put it in your purse/car, it'll be a hot mess 😳 I have shade 5.7 Dune in the TF Soft Matte foundation and it's the perfect shade. Ooooo, I'd spend so much money in one of those Cosmetic Stores if similar products were available in the UK version - We have drugstore items in ours 🙈!!! Lots of love 💜🤍💜🤍💜🤍💜

I’m so over the moon about the Original Koyudo FuPa foundation brush I just got ,) I pre ordered it in August when FUDE was doing it’s revival campaign and it’s finally here….. I would love to see you review some things that are not high end. I enjoy both high end & stuff easily found at the drugstore. And if you want to review those things do it, it's your channel & your time so you get the say so. You do nice videos & I appreciate your efforts. 🥰
Re: Mario Lip I have the exact same issue with this color! I previously owned Bare Glow and I loved tapping that on, but with this Nude Glow I kept getting like really gross texture where the product would fall off in chunks and not melt in the way the sparkly formula did unless I used my finger to basically rub half of it off to blend it in. I wonder if it’s the opaque formula or just the shade

I wish UD sold the moondust shadows in Australia - they only sell the awful palettes instead of the singles here and you cannot find a stockist that sells Space Cowboy that ships to oz. I so want to get it as an alternative to the Mario palette which is marked up extremely to $130 AUD plus shipping ($68 converts to $100 AUD so what is the brand thinking charging PML prices whilst also not being consistent across markets. I won’t buy his brand as that is off putting compared to the competitors who try to be fair.).
I think I will forever be mainly a luxury channel, but I am interested in some products like the Elf one from the drugstore that honestly.. seem even better than highend.
