Hi Cherie, this is Debbie from Cheshire in the UK, I’ve been longing for more videos from you and have really enjoyed watching them. Thank you for sharing your life with us. I love the rustic tool box, you’ve been a creative tool in the Lord’s tool box by artistically repurposing that historic item, I so enjoy seeing your home, so very different to homes in the UK, beautiful, bless you and your family xx
Hi Debbie! Thanks so much for your kind words. I have missed all my RU-vid friends. You guys are so wonderful and encouraging. I had a lot of fun with this toolbox and thinking up ways to decorate it. I really do love vintage things. Thanks again for watching, friend! ♥
Love your display. That screwdriver reminds me of one my daddy had. We have my husband’s Granddad’s old radio. It sits on the washstand which belonged to my Daddy’s parents. I’ll have to take a picture sometime to show you. I surely enjoyed your video. Growing up I loved going to thrift stores. In haven’t been to one in a very long time. Maybe I’ll stop by the one near our little one’s school this week. Thanks for sharing your beautiful display. Bless you, Sherry!
Hi Elizabeth....my husband loves old radios! He has a small collection of them. I would love to see a picture of yours! We enjoy using them as decor around our home, as well. Fortunately, we both love older things. I bet you would have fun visiting a thrift store again! It's like a treasure chest. Find something good! Thanks for watching, friend!
Thanks, Sherry! I love old things too. Our old radio still works. It was used in the spring play at our oldest son’s school. They did an Alfred Hitchcock radio show for the play. I will message you with the picture of our old radio.
Hi again, Sherry! 😍 I so love your thrift finds!!! I love the way you decorated the wooden tool box! Note that school is it and I will have a little more time at home, I’m hoping to declutter and get rid of a lot of “stuff” that seems to just come out of nowhere. But I am also looking forward to redecorating some areas in my home as well. ♥️ I think it’s amazing how just taking something from one place or room and giving it a distant spot to stay for a while makes it look brand new all over again! Love and blessing, sweet friend! ♥️ Please…another video visit soon! ♥️♥️♥️
Hi Drema! I am trying to learn to reuse things that I already have by moving them into different settings and by grouping them in new ways. It's lots of fun to experiment...and if I don't like it after a few days, I can always move it again. I know you will have fun shifting things around in your home! Love you! 😊♥
Hi Sherry, beautiful video! Your scenic backdrop is stunningly beautiful! Look at those amazing trees! The toolbox you guys found is amazing!! And, so are the tools! I love how you decorated the box and that your grandkids can play with the decor. That is so sweet! The little birds for $5! Wow, I love little birds like that. I just recently found a pair of white ones, ceramic, at my thrift shop for $2 and they are quite cute too. I built in a little niche in between the studs of my tiny house, in my bedroom and my little birds are on the shelf there, looking out the window. :) God bless you.
Hi Seraphina! Your white ceramic birds sound so pretty! I bet they love their spot in the little alcove where they live. Thanks so much for watching, friend. Blessings!
How fun! I love what you did with your tool box. I have my moms old black typewriter that I have displayed on my bookshelves with several old books from my grandmother’s house and several little collectible country cottages. All reminders of my mother and grandmother that just make me happy!
Hi Bobbie! I love your decorating idea with the old black typewriter and books. Those types of touches really bring heart felt sentiments to any room. I know it's beautiful and your mother and grandmother would be so proud. ♥
Hi Sherry! I haven't commented in forever but I wanted you to know I'm still a viewer and enjoy your videos. I got to watch this last night while I was getting things ready to turn in for the night and it was a good ending to the day with your peaceful storytelling. And speaking of stories, I also enjoy old things and the stories they hold. I like to collect and continue their stories.Your repurposed tool box is lovely. The yarn balls are super cute. I know as a child I would have loved looking at your belongings and I bet your grandkids absolutely enjoy hanging out with you. My oldest daughter just turned 24. I can't wrap my head around it. My other daughter is 16. I found some of her little drawings the other day and I so miss those days. I'm going to be so head-over-heels if I have a grandchild(ren) some day. Although my eldest is 3 hours away so, that would be hard. Anyway, sometimes in my head I wish for my kids not to have children because of how things are in the world, and though it would pain me greatly to never experience the joy they would bring, I feel it would be best. Obviously, this is not my choice but theirs but I'm wondering how you feel about it. Do you feel it is selfish to go forth with plans to have children brought up in these times? That's probably too loaded of a question for you to reply to here...sorry. I guess it was just on my mind so it came out. No worries. Look forward to your next video! ~ Rachelle
Hi Rachelle...it's great to hear from you and thanks so much for watching. Whether to have children or not to have them is such a personal decision. And while I often worry about my grandchildren and what the world will be like for them, I know that God is in control. I pray my grandchildren will have a relationship with him and that he will use them to have a positive impact in crazy times. Throughout Scripture we see where God used people to lead others to him, even in difficult situations. I am encouraged to know that God is still working in this old world today. Sending hugs, friend!
Nice decor! I would love to find a wooden bread dough bowl. They are so expensive in the antique stores. They look like long, oval wooden plates that look like a low edge trough. You've seen them, I'm sure! I smiled about your grandkids and the bird that flew.😊❤❤❤❤
Hi Bev! I love those wooden dough bowls too. Even though the old ones are pricey, you might try checking the ones they have at Hobby Lobby. I have seen some pretty ones there and they are even more affordable when they go on sale. I actually have a set of the wooden dough bowls in three sizes and believe it or not, they were just $21! I happened to find them at Dollar General a few years ago and it was the only ones they had left. I will have to show them on a video sometime soon. Thanks so much for watching!! Blessings to you!
Hi Sherry ❤ I love your old wooden tool box! I like how you styled this! It’s just perfect with the heart and birds!! I love country and older furniture too! Is that your picture window in the front living room? I have my grandma’s old singer sewing machine in the front window with some plants on top and old wooden bowls sitting on the large pedal below. Have a wonderful day! I love you! ❤️😘 Thank you for your lovely video!!
Hi Doreen! Thanks so much for watching the video. Yes, this is the picture window in my living room and I bet your grandmother's Singer sewing machine table is gorgeous there, with the wooden bowls and plants. That makes a lovely display and one that is also sentimental. Love you, friend! ♥
Hi Janice! Thanks so much for watching! I can't tell you how much I enjoy your videos. Your family is precious...and YOU are. I loved seeing your celebration RU-vid party. I pray God's abundant blessings on your channel. You are going places! ♥
Hello Ms Sherry don’t forget to preserve your tool. Ox with mineral oil then followed by wax so the wood is protected I love you my beautiful friend and sister in faith
