I’ve purchased several of the Dollar Tree seed packets and have always had success. I sure hope they have those 3 seed packet kits next year-it’s nice when it comes with everything you need. We have a small back yard and I love gardening. I have raised beds, 2 GreenStalks, and many pots of vegetables. We use flower pots and 5 gallon buckets. I’ll be planting sweet potatoes in 10 gallon grow bags soon. This is the first time we’re using grow bags. I’m 74 and still playing in the dirt!! Blessings, my friend!
Planting seeds indoors reminded me of our early homeschooling years. We tried a vegetable garden, but the ground here requires a lot of tilling and adding other soil and nutrients that it became a really difficult task to attempt the next year. We just didn't know to prep the soil, lol. Right now I'm growing 2 vines of wisteria in my backyard and 2 plants in pots on my porch that come back every year.😊

I am still planting too. We also had a few cold snaps. I planted in some large "whiskey barrels" that I was given and two days later I had nubs of Mandavilla, Snowball and Vibernum 😵💫😞🌺. The deer, rabbits and squirrels are nibbling on nearly everything around here this year🤪😄. I still have some seeds that were sent by a friend last year. Maybe tomorrow...😅. We have had the same frustrations with the wildlife eating our veggies. They are so smart, too! They came and grabbed our tomatoes the day before we were planning to harvest them. Ugh! We would love to try the raised beds again but we will have to come up with some type of barrier or fencing to keep the freeloaders out! 😂 Have fun with your seeds, friend! ♥
We have been tackling the watering system for my garden and pots. Get it going before the Alabama heat gets going full force. I have a 50 ft x 75 ft garden (using the woven weave ground cover) which I started and planted about 50 tomatoes, about 50 pepper plants, some cucumber, zucchini, watermelons and cantalope. Then in tubs I have onions, fingerling potatoes and strawberries. I am praying for a nice crop so I will be able to can alot of my produce.
