Just found your channel today , great ideas for scripture journaling . If someone has a composition journal you can use a glue stick to bind two pages together and put washi tape to help keep the pages together . I learned this on thrifty day video . Looking forward to more scripture ideas on your channel .
Hi, my name is Karin. I just accidently come across this video. I don't even remember what I was looking for 😅 but something drew me in. When I heard you talk about writing scriptures I became so excited because it's something I already love and do several times a week! Our precious Lord has put in my heart a huge love for His Holy Bible and writing scriptures. So I'm excited to hear what you have to say as you share your thoughts and ideas! I'm 64, disabled, can't drive due to poor vision, been through a heart attack, hit by a car while walking and massive blood clots in my lungs since January! I am so blessed with healing miracles (able to completely take care of myself! Praise the Lord!) and many other blessings from the Lord. I go to church, my neighbor and her husband drive me. I love you sister in Christ and I'm looking forward to discovering all you have to share! ❤

Good evening. I've just stumbled across you and watched this video. I have 'player's with writing scripture and other meaningful quotes, like songs or hymns or quotes from books, but Its been very spasmodic. This practice though infrequent has made me very aware that it is something God uses to get my attention. Having listened to you this rather miserable evening here in Wales, I'm challenged to make it a more regular practice. Thank you for sharing your experience of this practice. What version of the bible do you use for writing scripture. I write scripture every day and when God sent me to you on You Tube I knee He wanted me to follow you. I thank God and you for sharing this video.

Hi Sherry I do not do facebook, the most I have is whatsapp and thats enough, to be honest I see alot of trying to be up on someone, and I am not sure I like that, I think the more we go on, the more people think they have a right to know your business and that bothers me alot, and I do noy want to share all the time, its addictive and invasive and it breeds gossiping and unhealthy behaviour and I need to unplug from it all, and have a gentle quiet spirit, so I am in agreement.
Oh you made me cry when you said, "I didn't ask you if you could do all that." He leads us & will certainly bless us if we follow His guidance. Years ago I didn't follow & lost my way. I praise God that He didn't leave me in the dust. He pulled me out but I know I missed out on a much bigger blessing had I hung on & followed His instruction. So glad you listened to the Lord.
I've been using composition books for my writings. All different books for different subjects. But, writing the Word everyday seems to be something I would like to try. Thank you for the talk.
I don't know much, about editing to be honest. I mostly sit down and film my videos in one take, just as if you were sitting in my house having a conversation with me.
People can get very nasty when they are hungry, (including myself). But a good few years ago now my husband, me, my brother in law and his wife went to a very popular place in England by a canal. It was packed. The waitress lead us to a table and another waitress showed another bunch of people who managed to sit down before us. I saw a cross around her neck and said it's ok we will wait. My brother in law was angry with me, he said I was too nice. It wasn't very long before we got our table. I was a youngish Christian and said to my husband, I saw the cross around her neck. Just found you today on YT.
Dear sister I have been writing scripture for some time now however I wasn’t diligent recently the pastor of a church told me that the lord wants me to write and I was praying and asking the Lord what do want me to write lord for a weeks and your vlog showed up in my feed I now know what God my saviour wants me to write I have been delivered and healed by Gods word of many things I praise and thank the lord for his living word I am writing from India . I like the idea of Scripture writing, I’m not artistic, or even a neat writer, but I love God’s word. I’m going to try it not knowing how it’s going to turn out.

I don't have fb but I'm hopeful I can access your book. Id purchase an audio version of you reading it any day! † As to this video I sooo needed this. I have been feeling the negative of being the scent of death to the lost. I am seeking renewal in the stillness of the Lord Jesus Christ, and know His sweet scent will refresh my soul in His due time. At this moment I am feeling wore down and sadly have been struggling for quite some time now to find fellowship with like minded believers in the unity of the spirit of truth to converse and ultimately give God glory through the fellowship together. I know its just a season and maybe even a refinement in the fire. I am content in all things , knowing and trusting God uses all things for his glory! If you could lift me in prayer if very much appreciate that and I my dear am I praising God for sending me your sweet genuine spirit to speak His goodness and affect my heart with His sweet scent God bless you and your family ❤️

Sherry, thank you so much for posting this video. This was such a blessing to me this morning. I have often thought about Bible journaling and keeping a written journal of what I learn while reading Scripture or with other Biblical teachings and things I learn in my reading or “deep dives” into exploring God’s Word. I have watched video after video over the past couple of years and have always been intimidated by what I saw because I was thinking I am not talented or artistic enough to do those things I saw others doing. I’ve bought several supplies to help equip me when I finally found the courage to start, but yet I still doubted myself. I have no problem in teaching God’s Word as I have been blessed to hold a small group Bible Study in my home for the past 12 years and even started a second one specifically for women so why did I continue to doubt what I wanted to do in my personal study with God? I guess it was because I love for God so much, I never want to let Him down or disappoint Him which in many ways I feel that I do. You mentioned that we did not need to fear and that the negative thoughts would hold us back from doing the things we feel led to do. That truly resonated with me. I have heard over the past several years God speaking to me and saying “Trust Me” in various situations. Recently I realized that though I do trust God, I was allowing my fear of failing and self-doubt take control of everything in my life drown out my trust in God. I was allowing fear to paralyze me for fear of disappointing God, that I forgot that God has asked me to trust Him. You also mentioned that God told you that He didn’t ask you to worry about the “How” to begin Scripture writing, but just to START. This was also powerful to me. I felt encouraged to start as well and let God guide me through this process. I feel that this process will allow me to begin healing in various aspects of my life that I try to keep “hidden” from others because I don’t want to burden anyone with my thoughts or stay too long in what I refer to my “valley times”. I think Scripture writing and journaling my thoughts and emotions (I too can barely draw a straight line - haha) will be extremely healthy and being clarity into my life. I could go on to share with you how impactful your video was to me, but I digress. I mainly wanted to thank you for having the courage to be obedient to God’s call and for inspiring me to get started. I actually keep hearing to write a book, but that’s just way too crazy for me to even imagine at this time. Haha Baby steps, right? Thank you again. This was my first video I have watched on your channel, but definitely not the last. I have subscribed to your channel and I look forward to hearing more and learning more from you in the future. I love the Lord. I want to follow Him. I just want to tell you, though, that the way to "prove my love" is by obedience to His commandments, and following Him. It is good to hide His word in our hearts, and this method can be a tool to help do that, but God doesn't want a form of godliness, He wants us to be godly. Look at these verses: "Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, As in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, And to hearken than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, And stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry." 1 Samuel 15:22-31 KJV So yes, copy verses, decorate them if it helps you memorize, but follow what God tells us, that is what pleases Him. This is exactly my message, Christie! I followed God's direction to Scripture Write and it changed my life. I was obedient to him and he blessed me. Our offerings of writing or art or any other thing are just outward ways we can show God that we love him and we are happy to be his children. The verses you are referencing in 1 Samuel concern the time that King Saul did not fully obey what God had asked him to do. God had commanded King Saul to attack the Amalekites and to destroy them and all that belonged to them. God was specific. He said, "Do not spare them." (v. 2-3). Yet Saul felt he knew better than God and he decided to spare King Agag and the best of his animals. When God saw this, he was upset and sent Samuel to confront Saul about it. Of course Saul quickly made up a story as an excuse, saying, "I saved the animals to make a sacrifice to God." But even Samuel could see that King Saul was full of pride. And this is why God said that obedience is greater than sacrifice, because if Saul had offered those animals in sacrifice to God, it would have been with items God had already told Saul to destroy. We learn that after this incident, Samuel and King Saul went their separate ways and never saw each other again. Yet Samuel was grieved over King Saul and the Lord regretted he had made Saul king over Israel.

All you said is so true. I also have been writing Scripture and adding in some embellishments. It is all time spent meditating and memorizing God's Holy Word. Not a second is time-wasted, it is God's Word that feeds and waters us. I love it and thank you so much.

I just wanted to share this in the hope it will encourage all who are suffering, I spoke to the Lord about my messed up family about 30 years ago, he told me to read the old testiment 4 times, which I think is His way of saying how important this, so I did and then He asked me, can you find a perfect family in there, I said NO, and He said thats right because they do not exist. For me this was a relief, not to say we do not try, we do not pray or do are best but this perfect family life without struggle, pain , sorrow grief, sadly does not exist and at 62yrs I am finally seeing there will always be something and for me THANK GOD HE HOLDS ONTO MY HAND, not the other way round, THANKGOODNESS HE FIGHTS FOR ME, be kind to yourself and to be kind to others. Thank you so much for sharing this video, I remember having a notebook that I was gifted and I decided to keep it has a thankful journal and I kept it and was very honest, It was a very difficult year and I was amased at how I clung to God through them days, God also told me to write things down and it took me along time to understand the value of that, I am in the process of making some little cards to gift to people who like me are going through a devistating bereavement, and I just want then to know they are understood and the value of tears for them and Gods perspective on tears too, I am hoping to expand on them so many need encouragement today, I have another little book and so that needs to have a purpose and so I am asking God for direction, thank you for shairng your journey with scripture writing its is so encouraging and another way to delve into Gods word and retain his word and pass onto someone else , we are all on this journey take care have a blessed day.

@@thehomespunwife Thank you very much, I also want to say I do not think you know how impacting this channel you have is to people, I have just seen the post about your son, and may i say what you said was beautiful and courageous, I worked indirectly with drug addicts for 12 years so I do know a little bit, and i cannot know your heartbreak in all of it, unless you have been there. I have just recently lost my daughter she died from an anurysm and its been so heartbreaking to the point I could have finished my life again it is one of those things so easily for Christians to comment on, but I have this little card and it says Be kind to yourself you are doing the best you can. And so all we can do is one step at a time. my family have hurt me so much too and the scripture God gave me was Proverba 20 v 22 Do not say I will get even with this wrong. Wait for the LORD to handle the matter. God does a work in them and a work in us, but its so encouraging that this shows to me, He is aware of the situations we face but HE WILL HANDLE IT, and so its a handing over to HIm, and we know HIs ways are the best. I just need help with being silent in it all. God bless xxxx
