100% yes to everything 💜 I do think school is important and there are so many valuable things to be learned and experience gained, but it’s not everything and not the only way. 💜 I think a lot of people like myself put their personal value and what they’re worth being paid on a having a degree, whether they can afford one or not, and go through extraordinary measures to get one, and that’s not always right. 🙏🏻 I wanted a degree so badly to make myself feel more confident and as a sense of security. I ended up barely getting my associates and still making nearly just as much as my husband who had a masters degree in my previous work. There are ways to gain the work experience, network, etc., without the mental torture of getting a degree you don’t want and going into debt. 😭💜 All that said, degrees are valuable, but you won’t be destined to be broke for life if you don’t have one and it doesn’t make you less intelligent. 🙈💜
