Yes, however you may need to find a charity to donate your dresses to because there isn’t a participating ambassador there.

Yes, elastic is fine. The dresses. An have a knit bodice but must have a woven bottom. They’re far more durable that way

I’m not sure why it takes you to a blank screen, my doesn’t do that. Strange. Also, for this challenge knit dresses will not be accepted anywhere. You can however use a knit upper part, but not a lower part. The girls are so rough on them that they put holes in knit dresses in no time.

@@MariSews I know someone who lost everything in the fire. She is well connected as she is the Technical Director of the Maui Water Supply department. I contacted her to see if she knows of someone or an organization willing to collect and distribute the dresses. I will keep in touch

@@MariSews Hi Mari. So I heard back and this is what she said: many of the donation hubs are overwhelmed with all that people have been sharing. I want to say that about a week ago, many of the places said please no more clothing donations. Another thing is, people are still temporarily housed, so space is limited on how much they can take in." She also said that she would bookmark the message and let me know more if clothing donations were being accepted again.

For this event in September you just join in by making a dress and donating it. More details will be coming in September

Oh no! This is supposed to be fun. I’d highly recommend starting with one or Thoughtful creativity’s dresses. They’re free, are only a couple pages to print, and only comes in one size that is in high demand. That’s an easy place to start.

Can we use elastic ? This would be my 1st time sewing. Due to health and work schedule I may only be able to do one or two. Would that even help? I so want to help this year and every year after.
