It's thanks to BRR that I found Anthony. I'm in that same region of liking blues and hard rock, leaning more towards blues these days because of the honesty and integrity is still in the music and hasn't been spoiled too much by the likes of autotune. So I think he's on the right path. If I had one thing to say to Anthony it would be go easy on the tapping! It sounds great but don't over use it, so the surprise is greater when it comes along.
GREAT interview! I've been a huge fan since 2006, Music Is The Medicine was my intro into the world of AG and intense blues rock. I've been blessed with seeing Anthony live 8? Possibly 9 times now. PL&LG was the most intimate, at a BBQ joint, in front of 4 other people. It was brutally intense and personal. One I will NEVER forget. That being said, I just saw Anthony Nov 24th, at Knuckleheads, which I believe you were there as well Brian, correct? That particular show is by far, the BEST show of 2023! And we've seen a LOT. I personally think that Anthony would literally blow the roof off of The Garage...should he record a live show there. Come on Brian, you HAVE to admit, it IS a great idea! Anyway, great article.
