Interesting that Newcastle have let it be known that he is unsettled. Usually when a club do that is because they are preparing the fanbase for a sale. If so, as it may well not be the case, it is in their interest to convince the fans that they didn't unsettled him by saying he was available.

I think Liverpool like him but I doubt they see him as a priority signing seeing it was actually Newcastle who approached Liverpool- I think Liverpool would see this as an opportunistic signing but only at the right price, which would imo have to be around £60m. Barca are skint. They can't afford Nico Williams's salary and the raises they would have to pay to the rest of the first team. Basically, they would have to get rid of Lewandowski and give his salary to Williams, then bump all the salaries of the other forwards to bring them up to half of Williams's salary. The only way Barca are hanging on financially is to push their debts down the road and to keep payroll low, so I doubt they can afford Williams.

Chloe's right, it's as simple as Gordon is better than Diaz and still has so much time given his age to get even better. Diaz is more at that age now where we've seen what he can do for us. It's not enough. Certainly not for a title challenging/winning side. If you've been watching Diaz for Colombia he usually gets played through the middle for them and often looks better in that position. That to me highlights his limitations out on the left and also his selfish style of play/thinking where he is more of a central forward looking to score than a left sided forward / winger looking to create. We need wide forwards who will take on their full backs and create for Darwin. Simple.
