Anthony Palma- The Abduction of Kirsten Hatfield - Cold Case Solved

In May of 1997, eight-year-old Kirsten Hatfield vanished from her bedroom in Midwest City, Oklahoma. It took almost twenty years before her killer was brought to justice
According to court documents, Palma was interviewed by an FBI agent on May 17th, 1997 at his home but was never arrested. His wife, who married him after Hatfield disappeared, said “Tony still gets upset about the case when it is mentioned.”
Officials asked why he got upset and his wife said “because it happened so close to his house.”
Prosecutors alleged Palma snatched Kirsten Renee Hatfield from her bedroom after she went to bed May 13, 1997. She hasn’t been seen since.
Palma denied any involvement. He was arrested in October 2015 after new DNA testing connected him to items at the crime scene, according to prosecutors. He lived two doors down from the victim in 1997 and hadn’t moved. The new forensic testing revealed Palma’s DNA matched blood found on the girl’s bedroom windowsill and on her underwear, which was discovered in her backyard, police reported.
The sentencing phase followed, and Palma was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. Palma would only serve less than two years of that sentence. In January of 2019, he was found dead in his prison cell at the Oklahoma State Penitentiary. He had been strangled and beaten to death by his cellmate. He took with him to his grave the location of Kirsten’s body.

This was poor police work when it happened. If they did a criminal background on the neighbors back then, they would have zeroed in on him with his violent/sexual history. Also, he mentions the FBI searched his shed; However, the FBI report did not state that. He has since torn that shed down. There is no question in my mind that poor girl's body was in that shed. The police never looked or called in cadaver dogs. Really poor investigation in the beginning and the poor mother had to pay for it with suspicion on her for years.

No. His DNA was found in her panties and on the windowsill. It is hard to imagine any grown man could do something like this to a child but its happens everyday unfortunately.

detective- "How'd you get that scar on your arm?" Palma-" a toilet bowl fell on it" detective- "When?" Palma "....uhm last year". This creep was so full of it, im glad he got his karma in prison. It's just so sad that we will never know what happened to Kirsten's remains. It's sickening that he did this, and got to be free for 17 years as well...

I love 💕 nothing more than when it's a super cold case & the perp thinks their home free & knock knock lol only downside, is they were able to live all those years free😒....but, hopefully he has a come to God moment & at least tells where she is😒 that poor baby! I can't imagine being asleep &taken like that 😥 prayers to her family! &I hope they get some of the answers they needed. 💖

He never came to God on his own, his cell mate introduced the two after Palma refused to tell the family where the body is.

Detectivw says, I'm not the same person I was when i was younger... And the killer says,I wish I could say that. As many know, narcissists, sociopaths and psychopaths basocally remain child like their entire lives. Imagine never growing, feeling entiteled and have a permanant victim mentality.

An innocent person would be swearing on anything and everything that he's innocent and did not harm that girl and would be demanding that the DNA be retested and would be going insane as a result of being accused of such a heinous crime. This guy is way too calm and seems to be in some sort of dissociated state and is in shock that this has finally caught up to him. In other words, he's guilty as shit!

These detectives can chat do casually with anyone. They can have you for murder dead to rights with fingerprints, DNA, photos, videos, and witness testimonies and talk with you about Bermuda grass and the weather. From these interrogations, I know to be nervous anywhere around a detective speaking to me voluntarily. Man, I ain’t that interesting!

This detectives sound so pitiful. They are begging this guy to proclaim himself guilty. They have the proof , he doesn’t want to say he is guilty or where she is at. STOP BEGGING

That evil, wicked man. He's too prideful to confess, pride does come before a fall. He's the worst and most dangerous of his kind, a wolf in sheep's clothing. He's a regular guy around town, but no one 'really' knows him, except for his wife, maybe. She rightfully told what she knew, I suppose dots have been connected for her. And, for the detectives. He will probably go to his g rave before he ever admits guilt. Out of his mouth he recalled being around and interacting with children. He fixed their bikes, a good handy man you could count on; if you are a child, that is. "All" the kids knew they could come to his house for help. That's how these bad guys operate, infiltrating churches, school, summer camps, amusement parks. They masquerade in plain sight to lure a child away. They can act in an instant, mind your children at ALL times. Teach your children to scream as loud as they can and run fast as they can to safety. I taught my children that when they were wee ones, and my son successfully got away from a man, not very long after I taught him. Thank the Lord! "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:" 1 Peter 5:8 kjv

Sicko.." I wanted to make them feel like it was a safe place"🤮....A. P. constantly trying to distance himself from " those people ". A.P. mentioning " 🎣 fishing spot" I had hoped they'd ask him ( at the time) where he fished ,just in case he put her body where he always hung out.
