Hey friends, let me know in the comments which one you end up choosing! Check out the chairs below↓↓↓ (My Affiliate Product Links) - Anthros Chair - bit.ly/MW-Anthros - (Save $200 w/ Code "THEMW") - Herman Miller x Logitech Embody - bit.ly/MW-Embody
The Anthros Chair looks great. I have the gaming embody, which i bought about 6 months ago and I love it BUT i do have 2 complaints. The first is relatively minor but is definitely something that I notice fairly often...I'm 6'1" and pretty broad shouldered, it would be perfect if the armrests went "one click" wider. My arms are always angled in at a bit of an awkward angle at the widest setting. Second, and this is the more serious complaint, after sitting for an hour or so my tailbone really starts to hurt. I have to stand up for a bit every hour to relieve the pressure/pain in that one area. Otherwise, the chair feels great but maybe something like this Anthros, with its plusher seat would have been better for me. But, I cant afford to just buy another chair lol. Wish HM would take the idea of long game sessions into consideration when designing a $2000 chair and make sure they padded the seat enough.
@@MikeWat ok first day with it. Immediately notice seat was more comfortable than secret labs as more I sat in it later started to feel a slight uncomfortable most likely do to to straight posture. I'll give it a week to get use to it if not it'll definitely go back and I'll try the embody.
@@waifoos3213 Your back will start using different muscles, I found it interesting to notice! Also, definitely go over the guides to dial in the right settings for the pelvis & back support or even book an appointment with the posture specialist to find the most comfortable settings for your body to get used to. Keep me updated man!
Those chairs will last at least a decade. That's $200 a year to not have to deal with severe back pain from cheap chairs. I have an Embody, and it's worth every penny.
You made an excellent video! I was really confused about which one to buy between both, but you've helped me make a clear choice. Big thanks, man, all the way from India!
How tall are you? I am 6 foot 6 and I think your problems with the back rest might be no existent for me and actually fit my body size perfectly? What do you think? @MikeWat
Chair seems amazing. I was hit by a drunk driver a couple of years ago and it nakes sitting up for too long painful before i need to lay down again, but damn can I not justify spending 2k on a chair right now for the hope that it might help me 😂
Very concise and comprehensive comparison! A lot of good points to consider; I really like the tilt feature and the tension dial. The more time sitting the more important the premium feature are and justify the extra $. Thanks for another informative review! I hope that you and your family are doing well.🙌🔥
I've been using the Embody for a year and a half now and I really like it. I am a habitual lounger and its tilt feature is excellent. Sitting straight up is no doubt more ergonomic, but I found that tilting back takes the pressure off of my spine that you can get after sitting straight for hours.
@IICAPII everyone's body is different. I love mine. Plus not everyone can pay €2000 for a chair. If these companies really cared about people their health and back, they would make these chairs affordable for everyone. I couldn't pay that much for a chair even if I had the money. But that is each to their own.
Ironically enough, i’ve been searching for a new desk chair. I’m a software engineer and I spend about 10+ hours a day sitting my chair, but… I still can’t justify $2k on chair… it just doesn’t make sense. Yes, I can afford it, and yes I understand you can’t put a price on keeping yourself healthy. But no chair costs this much to produce. Materials, engineering, ect, 2k does not make sense. Just seems like your paying for the name instead of the product, like buying a gucci shirt vs buying a regular shirt
I wish I could fly you and every other person whom feels this way on a full tour of our tier 1 suppliers and our factory wherw we make this chair. I could show you in depth what it really takes/costs to make this chair. You would quickly see that the major players in race car seats make WAAAY more profit by offering you all such less human performance and chair component quality. You get what you pay for with HM and Anthros products. No margin scam here my friend.
I'd say a standing desk would help a ton as sitting for that long is not healthy at all. I'm guilty of this as well and trying to work on it. Another great option is to try and find one of these chairs used or refurbished. Big savings like that.
@@stevendufresne134 I would love to believe this… but the material cost just doesn’t add up. Plastic, wood, and metal. Now if we’re using the most premium of each of these materials, then sure it’ll cost that much. But it doesn’t need those materials, it’s a desk chair. Unlesssss you want the luxury status of it, like buying a ferrari vs a toyato, it doesn’t need to cost what it does, but since you use the most premium ‘parts’, it will add up I am curious though, do you have any detailed production cost layouts for these chairs?
Totally understand your point my dude. I think it's more like a "if things ain't broke, no need to fix it" situation. If your back doesn't hurt then of course spending that much on a chair would be out of the question! Also, there's a lot more that goes into making and designing the chair and keeping the company running that goes into the pricing besides materials 👍
