everyone hates hbox because he mains Puff and his defensive playstyle many say he is killing the game because he is the number 1 with Puff because Puff is more a brawl/smash 4 character with low amount of combos and histun being that why everyone in the melee scene quit brawl and other smash games in the world but he is actually saving melee because everyone one goes to a tournament to see the meta evolving around beating hbox and to see new more defensive strats.
@@hollowknightenjoyer2320 That was a handful to read, but I agree. HBox might be my favorite Melee player, his playstyle is fun to watch in my opinion and he's helping the competitive scene quite a bit.

I think the reason hbox 4 stocked with ness is because of a term I made up called the Luigi effect. People play significantly worse if they’re playing against a low tier character. Especially on the bottom end. I call it Luigi because he’s the worst in 64. You definitely notice it in smash ultimate more than any other game.
It's also matchup inexperience at times. If you don't play against certain characters much, you might not know what their options are when the character is pushed to its limit.
Well ya'll keep calling it "Shine" instead of its real name "Reflector". There's bound to be someone who forgets it's meant to be a reflector rather than an offensive move.
Yeah characters that aren't used much have the element of surprise. In tekken 7 mishimas are top tier but also anyone good in the game can punish them hard but lars is bad but can do some damage.
