Thank you for all the confirmation comments. My first thought is when you're jumping a positive and negative there was going to be Sparks and all kinds of 4th of July fireworks. Seeing how everybody has done it and even had solutions presented because of it I feel much more confident. By the way I love your video because the way it wasn't planned out it's just like having my neighbor show me something.

👍! I thought I heard a Pull Tab when you disappeared to get the Screwdriver. My 5.4 has 340k and will still Hook my Boat to it and take off.

Thanks trying this before replacing my pcm !!! I have a 2010 f f150 same engine.. I get the wrench light and gets stuck on 3rd gear no power and hard shift from Reverse to drive.. any other tip for this?

After I charged the battery on my 2007 5.4 Triton the theft alarm red light was flashing and another blue light on the mirror was flashing ten times faster than normal. Battery would turn the engine fast but no spark. I tried your suggestion and it started immediately.

You have the option to just replace the bad one or so. That's the beauty of individual packs

Hello Bob Good info video, but will also work when install of phazer blocks. I heard that the ecu needs to be flashed to eliminate the VCT solenoids. Will what you just did in the video cause the ecu to fash so that the VCT solenoids are no longer working??

No it will reset them but they will run next time you start the truck. You have to have the truck tuned to forget the VCT solenoids.

I changed spark plugs because was giving off code for plugs and one coil pack. Now its idling bad and throwing off code for ecm . Gonna try this in morning. Hope it works 08 lincoln mkz

to times my truck was idling bad, and missing on the hi-way. went to my shop i use and they scanned it and found bad coil. they have a snap-on scanner. only use Motorcraft coils, I know they are spendy but I tried all the others and they fail.

What I need to do that if I was replacing my timing. Cam phasers oil pump the reason I'm asking is because I replaced all this it runs fine as soon as I throw it and drive it starts to misfire and I'm wondering if the computer could possibly be the issue cuz I have checked the timing twice

Can u use jumper cables as long as it doesn't touch anything or do u need a wire with those alligator clips ...if so what gage wire?

It is the same as removing batt out of truck then touching both pos and neg together this drains the Keep Alive Memory KAM capacitors no sparks or damage there is no pwr hence battery removal

You would have to reflash the new one if it's not thhe exact same

I have a 04 5.4 tritan and I've replaced the cam sensor twice and the engine light still on.ive driven it over 200 miles..so fusturating.will this help?

What about when replacing cam chains and guides, local mechanic just did that and it still doesn't run right, i have an 07 as well and they just keep throwing parts on it except for the right one!

I did this today and it started running better but I drove it 50 yards down the road and the gas pump stopped working, put a new pump on still no start, checked for power at the pump and it's got power, been working on it all day, I'm totally baffled, any ideas would be appreciated, I checked and inertia switch and it was engaged to work properly. It's a 1997 e150 van

All the video was about removing negative battery terminal and the best part was the mix goat-cow laugh, ja, ja, ja, ja, ja,.... 🤬🤬🤬🤬😡😡 believe me he sound like a very professional engineer Technician.
