This reminds me of my childhood, my grandfather had hundreds of antique engines in various buildings around their property and I grew up attempting to get them running again, most did. Good memories for sure.
hot and cold cycles and dissimilar metals will cause a warp sometimes. especially on the old pot metal stuff when it's bolted solid with no gasket. I usually lap em back flat on my surface plate. Mag is hot :D sure makes your hands tingle when it gets ya
