You have an amazing eye for jewelry! I love looking at mourning jewellery, and think it is both beautiful and fascinating, so I think that Victorian horseshoe hair piece is gorgeous! Once you've repaired that jewellery casket, I think that would be a great place to keep it. ❤️
Thank you for sharing! I like the hair jewelry even though it is broken. Love the Victorian jewelry. The turquoise and garnet necklaces are very nice also.
Congrats on finding the operculum and the Victorian hair necklace. I also love the posy holder/tussie mussie. The yellow necklace could also be cadmium.
Thank you so much! You might be right about the necklace being Cadmium- it is a deeper yellow color. I will have to look into it a little more. Thanks for watching! ❤️
Love your taste, you pick out some top notch pieces! Love the operculum necklace, a fun fact those shells are the “trap door” shells attached to the foot of the snail when it closes up in its main shell for protection. Love love the hair necklace- I like unusual pieces. Thank you for sharing :)
Thank you!! Yes if I decide to wear the puzzle ring I will probably lightly clean it with a polishing cloth. I like to leave some patina to older silver- but a light polish can bring back some shine! ❤️❤️❤️
Hi - thank you so much for watching! You can send me an email if there is a piece that you like and I am happy to let you know if it is for sale! Lgc089@yahoo.com I mainly collect- but do sell sometimes. I have a Poshmark closet that I sometimes sell on- but have not added most of the items from this video.
Hanging up necklaces that are strung on string or anything other than wire or a chain, is very bad for the necklace. It causes the string to stretch and that's why there's gaps between the beads and the clasps. Especially the heavier ones. I'm surprised that an antique store would do that. I always have mine flat in a box.
That is a good storage tip. This antique store has so much jewelry and they move through it pretty quick- I think they purchase from estates etc. I will be sure to store any strung pieces I get laying down. Thanks for watching!! ❤️❤️
Hi Lara! You can shoot me an email at LGC089@yahoo.com. Majority of the items here I am planning to keep for my own collection- but feel free to make me an offer if there is a piece that you love. We might be able to work out a deal. I am more of a collector than a seller- but I do sell pieces from time to time! I can't keep everything. ❤❤
