Easiest way to kill Fatslob: Put down a foundation of fence in the vertical direction so that he cannot wall up. Without it's shell the soft and yummy body is easy to bully. Don't understand why no one come up with such simple counter strategy, JUST FOR HIM.

You never really defeat Fatslob. For a defeat only makes him stronger, makes him refine the formula, makes him stay longer in the basement, makes him order more takeaway pizza.

Now we can finally have an AoE2 variant of rock-paper-scissors with our favorite AoE2 players! Fatslob < T90 < Viper < Fatslob < T90 < Viper < Fatslob ...

I think the general strategy to beat fat slob is pretty simple: 1. Psych him out by forcing him to waste resources on walling by making multiple routes 2. Let him wall you in, and let him play the long game 3. Show no interest in the route you want to take, but a little in the others to get him to focus the others more 4. Pressure his walls just a little to keep him busy on them, but not so much as to devote too much of your resources early 5. Build a force up late game and make it massive where he has to keep walling (a good boom is important here), preventing him from making mass of scorpions 6. Profit. Once you overrun his walls, it’s game over for him. He’s very devoted to high defense and long run play. If you don’t keep resources from his troops he’ll just repel you. Keeping him on walls can greatly hinder his capacity to amass a force to defend especially if you do it fast enough that he hasn’t started producing an army yet. But letting him wall you in and giving him that security lures him in to thinking he has the time to upgrade first and stockpile. He expects people to hit hard first maybe tower rush him. It’s like attrition but fat slob does it to himself.

Just noticed that the map isn't even in a undiscovered state at start... Isn't that a bit like proposing a roulette game while knowing the odds are stacked in your favor? Quick question: why not focus the villagers building with the trebuchet?

I never understood why players build their farms around the town centre so messy, you can fit 8 farms perfectly around it without it looking like a complete mess, always annoys me lol

Can someone make a custom map for fatslob that's basically black forrest but the players are separated by stone mines instead of trees?

Hey man - my wife thinks I'm a nut for watching your videos all the way through from start to finish. She woke up last night and was like "Can you please just turn that off and go to sleep!". Whatever. Anyhow, it made me so nostalgic that I downloaded it from Steam a few days ago. The only issue is that the resolution is so small I can barely see the income counts top left and the upgrade options at the bottom. I've tried a few things, but no luck. Do I have to change my screen resolution each time I play the game or is there something less cumbersome you would suggest? Keep it up - love the work! I appreciate you.

Out boom him, buy out the stone market, sit back and harass his walls since you know he's going to wall? Eventually, he'll won't be able to afford stone to keep walling and be forced on the offensive.

Problem with fatslob is he is too reliant on stone walls. It wastes his precious stone which could be used to build tcs and castles increasing villager and trebuchet production. Another problem is he cant adapt as well. The offensive player can start chopping through the trees at multiple point forcing fatslob to spend more wood, villagers, and stone building walls and defending not to mind splitting the trebuchets. I would use at least 3 angles of attack on him with varrying distance with trebuchets and then use light cav to bust through and apply pressure.

What garbage. I was wondering if he was just playing the only strategy he knew or if he was a terrible person. I think we know the answer. He just resigned as soon as he got through. No fight, no nothing, just move on to the next sucker. No "gg" at the end from fatslob even though there isn't anything to concentrate on. He's not a troll. He's just an asshole. Whats the point in his even playing? You can understand why he sucks as badly as he does. He's never had to learn any aspect of the game because he just resigns if his one simple trick fails. Imagine how soul-crushingly boring it would be to play thousands of games where thats all you do and you never learn anything. He's not playing AoE2. He's never played AoE2. He's playing the 0.02 percent of the game that involves "build walls and resign". Its like calling yourself an Olympic caliber runner because one time you touched a pair of running shoes. Its just a decade of pure fail.

hey all, i'm a huge fan of AOE2, especially when they made the conquerors expansion (yes, I've been playing since then), and would love to take part in some community/competitive gameplay! I have a few questions, I hope someone can give me direct, full, step by step instructions, as I've never been able to do it on my own (Windows 10 laptop). 1) How do I get the correct version of the game to be eligible to play in the community? (i prefer Conquerors, and haven't played HD but I don't like what I hear of it - avoid HD if possible) 2) how do I connect to and play in the community? In the last Legend of Fatslob video I noticed that Fatslob's birthday is 1st Nov 1949. Man T90 respect your elderly!!!

One simple question, I always used to destroy huge thick walls by smashing 20 30 petards to them and it always worked. Why dont u guys do it? The only trick is to put petards in aggressive stance and they automatically wipe the whole wall from the needed section. Its also fast and you will gain element of surprise.

If Fatslob would sneakingly walled the closer choke point as well, you would be in lot of trouble. You returned with the scout when you saw the wall, but... It might be just as planned. The moment you returned with your scout, Fat slob would move his units to make NEW wall closer to you.
