There's actually a path around the base, straight into the back landmark. Then you can easily go down the hill and kill the first one. That's how I did it

Thank you, man! After 4 months playing this game this was the last gold medal I needed and actually the last achievement I didn't have. (record breaker) Thanks to your advice I was finally able to finish it with a gold medal!

This reminds me of the good ol' Grand Turismo challenges for driver licenses. Always aiming for gold but damn, these things were actually truly difficult to achieve sometimes.

Mangonels and Archers are trap units IMO. You need springards to destroy theirs fast, with three rams. You avoid the first tower by going through the forest and also want to keep the mele units safe, as they siege with torches. I did it with 4 springs 3 rmas and 1 mango.

Took me 4 or 5 tries but I managed to complete it in 5:31s with 3 rams, 2 mangos and 2 springs, bitch this tutorials are no joke.

Looks like the trees LOD system isn't handling camera rotation angles well.

The catapult animation is pretty bad. When they fire at close range, the way the projectile lobs so high and comes crashing down looks cartoonish and doesn't convey any sense of weight. Also there's minimal particle effects with collisions, stuff just disappears. The mangonel effects in AoE2DE look far superior

Agree. I like the aesthetic of all siege projectiles in AoE IV except mangonel, it's terrible xD

The mangonel animation looks horrible with what looks like 2 stones going almost directly upwards and killing loads of guys. AOE2 one looked much better.

3D is definitely unnecessary in AOE. Studio should better bring content to AOE 2 Definitive Edition, the original.

age 2 still seems fake the professional scouts thing was cool one time but maybe im just underestimating villagers/economies it is seeming like the trailers they made were to compensate for the fact that this game NEEDS bigger maps, but they weren't gonna make them alternatively known as malicious marketing but i don't see many other games doing anything like this it's a brand 😶
