Your off-road scooter videos like the out-storm and the one you did the carnage trail looked like so much fun, I got the Apollo Phantom (dual 1200w motors, quad shocks). I cannot wait to get out there. Love the quality of your content, its near top notch. Great work as a RU-vidr!
Got one of these. I've been riding motorcycles for about 32 years. I have 6 bikes currently, some slow and some 150Hp speed demons. After riding the Apollo, the first 3 minutes I took a slow spill. Then I went into full send mode in NYC. That's when I $hit my pants. I've never had a skateboard, scooter, roller blades, etc before therefore I didn't know what to expect. This thing is SCARY fast, considering the small wheels and fast turning, hitting a pothole makes you a Superman and ready for a body cast. For the first week I intent to ride with an armored moto jacket and moto helmet. Taking a spill at almost 40mph is NO FUN, it will hurt.
Just a small correction, at 5:21 you said it comes with hydraulic brakes. Those are disk brakes with cable actuation, not to be confused with hydraulic. Thanks
I like how you do the overlays in your editing. This seems like the best choice for commuting 13 miles with an elevation gain of 652ft and a payload of 215. That includes gear. I am a little nervous about hills, as 15 mph seems slow. They did upgrade the motors to 1000w in the new model, though. What do think? Will this be a wise purchase for what I need? I thought it safe over an e-skateboard.
In my experience, 15 mph up that steep of an incline is fantastic, should even be faster now with the upgraded motor. You really can't go wrong with Apollo, they're known for their quality and have great customer service.
Do you think 34mph from the Ghost is enough for a rush and to get somewhere in a timely manner ? I’m debating on the Vsett 10+ for this reason and I’m convinced that the Apollo Ghost 34mph top speed is too slow for everyday use. Thoughts?? Feel free to change my mind and save me money
Personally, I think 34 is a good speed for a scooter, that's where my comfort area is and most roads in the city have a 25 - 30 mph speed limit so you could keep up with the flow of traffic
Been using this scooter for over 6 months. Unfortunately the design of the scooter has caused many users who’ve tried the model I’m using to scratch their heads. Seems to be a common issue that it can not stay shut when folded (the mechanism does not latch 99 out of 100 tries). The handle bars are terrible to connect back together when you fold them *be ready to have bloody knuckles*. Replacing a tire tube sadly lead to screws being stripped due to low quality metal. And the standard brake pads will wear out within a month if you plan on riding this in the city. On the positive side of thins…… it has lights beneath the scooter for when you ride with little light, but it does not illuminate in front of you to see where you are going. YES it does have front lights but you will not see much of anything 1 foot (or 0.3 meters) directly in front of you. I would suggest looking into other brands if you plan on spending $1,900 on a daily scooter. It’s sad that even at that price point this scooter is still short of $600 basic Segway scooter when it comes to materials and the simplicity of just folding.
Hi mate, just picked myself up a Ghost, it was a tough decision between that and the Phantom V2 which came down to A) Price difference and B) I am a scooter virgin. Hoping once experience is had I can save enough for a Nami Burn E (version 5 by then!) Anyway love your content and how you show difference between speeds, etc in your footage, it really helped me to make the right decision for me. Oh BTW.. can you advise me where in the US 🇺🇸 is the National Park you are riding? Look so scenic, reminds me of home in the outback (just without the hills, valleys and gorges) I wish to return to the US when Covid takes a hike! Loved Yosemite back in 2012, what an epic park. Cannot wait for my Ghost to arrive, we have just the one distributor here down under running out of Melbourne, I think I am gonna get some looks whist scooting as little to nothing is known here of Apollo Brand even the local Scooter stores Scooter Hut / Crooze, etc here in sunny Queensland had no idea of Apollo when I asked if they could get me in a Ghost or Phantom, such a shame that they are missing out on loads of sales. Anyway keep up the good work, perhaps come to Aussie Land when you get the chance to ride in the outback or better still the Kimberley area of Western Australia, looks similar to your ride in this clip.
Thanks and glad you liked the review. I've been to Melbourne area about 3 years ago, pretty country. Anyway the place I was riding is called Kolob Canyon in souther utah, it's part of Zions National Park.
@@mattdee8488 Hi mate, actually I sent it back as it was a bit to fidly with attaching all the bits and bobs to the Handlebar. If I were you I'd grab the newer Apollo City Pro, especially if you live in the northern hemisphere such a shame I cannot get my hands on that till late 2022 or as late as next year due to being in a land down under.
My Apollo ghost isn’t working properly. Out of the box I drove it it for like 4 miles and I noticed something the rear motor kept giving up on me and the front motor was fine. And when I put the scooter on single motor mode it doesn’t work at all sometimes which means I have to use dual motor mode for it to move and the rear motor started heating up A LOT
@@ElectricRevolution Yeahhh i've seen that one but the phantom suspension system seems different than the ghost. No worries tho, thanks for responding at least :)
@@ElectricRevolution I'm trying to make the same decision. What puts the Varla over the Ghost in your mind? My biggest concerns are reliability and hill climbing power.
@@lancomedic I'd honestly go with the ghost because they have a history of quality products and maintenance is super easy.. that says a lot, I just changed a flat and was amazed at how fast it was.
@@ElectricRevolution I was trying to figure this out, too. If they won't have a visual in the display, they should have a lighted switch when the dual or Turbo mode is engaged.
Do we need license of buying a electric scooter? Bc I trying to get one and still deciding if I can get the "Gotrax GXL V2 Commuting Electric Scooter - 8.5" Air Filled Tires - 15.5MPH & 9-12 Mile Range - Version 2." It only cost like $299.98 on amazon right now and I see some comments from there and some hate it mostly. Pls reply bc I only need it for University instead of walking and sometime in the future.
I got a ghost with 1000w52v motors mine hits 45 mph and this is what was sent to me this scooter is a tank but i need a new bearing anyone know the size of bearing it takes whats the number for it please answer if anyone knows this it has 10x3 tires on it great vid very cool place to ride keep zoooooming on from Austin tx 🙏🙏✌🇺🇸🇺🇸
@@ElectricRevolution yes they are you should be bragging about the great country you live in very cool and yes these scooters are Awesome i wish i had a place like that to ride it is out of this world your very blessed brother and thanks for the reply have a blessed day stay safe ...
@Robert C I asked Apollo about what you said and they said that the manufacturer mad a printing error on a motors. Not sure how true that is, I wonder if there is a way to measure it.
@@lancomedic yhea i asked them as well and they said the same thing but like i said i hitting speeds in the 40s not bragging ok 👍 thanks for your response sir ...
whats the p settings to increase power level and acceleration on the apollo ghost, i want to know before i receive it since i ordered it and it should come this week
Here's a website that has a bunch of different controller settings on it, the one for this should be in there. electric-scooter.guide/guides/electric-scooter-psettings/
oooooh that's tough. Cyberbot comes with off road tires, the ghost doesn't. For off roading I'd go with Cyberbot. However I like the shocks on the Ghost better. I'd honestly be happy with either
I got ghe Phantom V2 but after learning about the ghost I wish I had got the ghost instead. Dontget me wrong, I love my Phantom muscle scooter but the ghost would be a better fit, I think. It's fast, sexy, and more lighter in weight. Thr price point is definitely better than the Phantom.
I like the video but there is no way that’s an 18-20% grade. Looked more like 10% max. I ride up a 6% grade at 22mph, and I took it up a 20% just for fun and was going 4mph at the top. 20% is way steeper than the hill in your video
20% incline is absurd steep and many vehicles wouldn't make it up the hill unless crawling. Going down the hill would be a suicide. On public roads and interstates across the US I can't remember seeing anything above 10% and that's steep. a 20% is outright dangerous for any vehicle.
@@HawkLad all Apollo’s scooters have inner tubes but don’t worry though I’ve put literally 115 miles in 2 days and during that time I drove through multiple piles of glass like an idiot and nothing happened
Thanks man for the reply. I was looking at the phantom V2 and the ghost. A heavy rider review has the ghost going up hills almost 3 seconds faster but the V2 has 1200W motors. It doesn’t make sense. Here is the video: m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fWT_lPSnES0.html
Did you know that you can literally die from drinking too much water? Did you know people drown every day in the bathtub….Did you know….I could go on and on….There is a thing called personal responsibility….It’s related to Rugged Individualism, which is a product of Common Sense and the Pursuit of Happiness. What if our forefathers worried about all that COULD go wrong ? What if they sat around, like whiney, lazy little democrats, and complained about silly imagined “injustices” or fake, imagined “privileged” (hard workers) class? Well, you would not be reading this, because your computer or iPhone would not exist…Infact, your scooter would not exist so neither would this video…. To be honest….We’d be stuck in some horrid dystopian nightmare government run disaster….Led by gangster sheisters like Biden, Pelosi and “The Squad.” My point? Stop worrying about stuff and simply apply common sense, foresight and awareness, and you will be fine. Nobody likes a downer and a nag.
This rice cooker is perfect! I use it only for me ru-vid.comUgkxviiltW7NlHbp_VL_bLbIkbLAvILVhnia and sometimes me and my friend so the small size is really great for counter space since we never need to make all that much. I have been using it now for about 2 months and it still works perfectly. I use it for both rice and vegetables (better for harder vegetables like green beans and carrots, it made my broccoli way too smoosh-y for my taste). It keeps your rice on keep warm automatically which I really like, and I’ve used a few of the settings, flash rice, white rice, brown rice, and steam, and they all work super well for me, although I don’t like smooshy rice so I’ll usually use flash rice. It’s super easy to clean either in dishwasher or hand wash, and it’s pretty easy to get rice out of the grooves by where the container comes out. I assume this one will last me a long time but if I ever need another I will definitely be getting this one again!
