Wonderful recipe, love your videos, however there is one thing I am curious about; would the cinnamon or Glycine cause an insulin response and thus break a fast? If that is the case, do you have any recommendations for a night time drink that doesn't interrupt autophagy?

@thomas delauer, I am getting such great results with Intermittent fasting (gradually learn to avoid mistakes in doing in big part thanks to your videos I stumbled upon last month) so since I am fasting from evening all the way to noon time the next day, it's safe to assume this recipe is not appropiate for me because one or two elements here will brake my fasting, right? I know collagen for sure break fasting.

Recipe for drink: 1 mug camomile tea 2 Tbsp ACV 1/4 - 1/2 tsp cinnamon 2 drops Stevia 3-5 grams glycine (3/4 - 1 tsp) OR 3-5 grams collagen (3/4 - 1 tsp) (it may gelatinize)

6 months of using apple cider vinegar helped me so much I was 264lbs 6 months ago now I’m 171lbs after so much hard work, you need to remember one thing, failure is not the final, it is the first step to success.There is nothing wrong when you failed and try again. The key, absolutely, is consistency. Every body is different in what it needs, and the key is to constantly be working on your body to find what works and what doesn't. Each of us are a walking chemistry experiment. The trick is finding the balance. Congrats on your progress!! Keep it up and make it a "lifestyle" not just a "diet" then you'll keep that progress for life! One thing I've learned from fluctuating so much is that a quick fix is just that: quick but not long lasting. You have to build that discipline and that takes time. You're gonna plateau after a while, but that's normal. Keep going when that happens and don't be discouraged. 💪😃

I also put my mom on ACV and not long discovered how it can harm the organs in the body. Health is so important, i go to Anthony William for all my food related health advice. 😊

Surely there is a moderate amount that is beneficial, while excessive use may present an issue, as with countless substances. And of course there will be those against anything most people find benefit from.

Since you've done a lot of research why do you figure vinegar makes me more hungry and then no energy? On or off keto, caffeine does the same also. I have diabetes in my family but i get lab work done every year and it comes back normal.

I always make myself an organic turmeric, ginger and black pepper tea with Apple Cider Vinegar every night and morning with intermittent fasting and it’s awesome. It gives me the next morning a super flat stomach and a glowing skin ✨ Literally you guys should try it!

This is such a classic statement from a women, the glowing skin and flat stomach thing which i'll admit is attractive. But i'm a guy with neither glowing skin or a flat stomach so i'll have to fail on that score. I do keto and supplements but it needs to be a strong dose because i'm just not that sensitive. I have been using ACV 2x daily. I started my weight loss regime right after XMass utilizing a plan my trainer gave me. Never thought eating like I do... implementation of the proper exercises and discipline has helped me loose 30 lbs effective today...I never starved...never felt weak..just feel great..started my venture at 226 lbs now at 196... I still take the ACV faithfully

Your explanations here helped me to understand what I was doing wrong with my night drinks. I switched over to yours with the only modification being that I added 2 tbsps of diatomaceous earth to it and that I used pure erythritol instead of stevia. I had the best few nights sleep of my adult life. I would have never complained about my sleep before, but each night with this drink I felt like a kid waking up the next morning. So much peace and energy. Last night I had 3 interruptions while sleeping, pee breaks basically, and I was able to get back to sleep within a few minutes of laying back down (if it even took that long). I was also calmly woken up to go pee instead of it being the normal emergency/jerk where I normally gotta pinch myself and run to the bathroom. This is perfect, it's replacing my other night drink which I now see would be more appropriate to drink when breaking my fasts.

Here in the UK, Tetley make a camomile tea with fennel & cinnamon. I add ACV to that for a lovely Christmasy drink that helps me relax. Edit: ordered collagen this morning and Amazon delivered it this evening. Now instead of a vinegar tea I'm making a vinegar skin tea. Life is weird.

Chamomile tea reacts on me like a slight sedative. I have chamomile with turmeric black pepper and cinnamon. Now I will put apple cider vinegar. I usually have apple cider vinegar in my water.

I discovered the apple juice/cider taste of acv when I diluted it with water and added ginger stevia. Slightly warming with the ginger it was pretty nice. I really liked it because I was looking for a drink to replace my cravings for things like lemonade and other sugary juice and soda drinks, was an effective substitute.

@@myselfstar8019 technically yes it depends on how much of a fasting purist you are. A couple drops of honey are passable if it means 1) You are getting the health benefits 2) make your lifestyle a little more liveable without the need for lots of willpower. Plus sounds like a nice little immune booster too 3) It's treated as a treat oorrrrr at the end of your eating window. Fasting isn't diet specific.

Can I have this on keto? I’m trying to do like a modified keto meaning I’m eating fruit cause the benefits outweigh the consequences but I hadn’t added honey back to my diet. I’ve lost about 69lbs in 2020 with keto/fasting

@@trecome396 Following Thomas's recipe it's keto, maybe skimp on the Stevia or count it as half a carb as he suggests. If you already blew your carb allowance then omit the stevia altogether.

Made this last night and it was delicious! However, a word of caution if you have seasonal allergies. The chamomile tea may create a snuffy nose afterwards for a few hours.

My hat goes off to you, alot of hard work! I see that you also competed in Ironman and triathlon events. That is a tremendous amount of training. Just trying this for the first time and I love it. I cannot get apple cider vinegar down past my gag reflex any other way, and was skeptical about this too, but it works and tastes great. I don’t have stevia so I used swerve. I also added some freshly grated nutmeg and a tablespoon of butter. Now I can finally get the beneficial effects of ACV. Thank you for this creative and relaxing solution.

I used to wake up with blood glucose in the high 90's and above. Since my just before bed ACV I wake up with low to mid 70's. I take it before big meals also. ACV really works for blood sugar.

There is such an abundance of helpful plant foods, supplements and other chemicals. You can't take all of them, just choose some you like and actually enjoy taking. Then it's easy to stay persistent. This sounds like a really fun recipe, I'd actually look forward to drinking this at night (I might swap the chamomile for ginger though).

5 grams is generally a tablespoon. Some vendors also put suggested doses on their products like the scoop he uses (appears to be one scoop).

ACV was also a big part of my weight loss journey as well. Ever since I saw a video from Dr Berg saying that having ACV before every meal helps you lose weight, I’ve been taking it. It lowers your insulin levels and therefore, helps with the weight loss.

I Cold Brew 'Hot Cinnamon Spice Tea' to 16oz of this tea (which comes in Black Tea, Green Tea or Herbal) I had 2 tablespoon Apple Cider. I like to think the Cinnamon helps with the sugar regulations and then there are the benefits of whichever kind of tea you choose. Cold brewing tea reduces the caffeine by less than half of hot brewed tea. It also increases the antioxidants of the tea. It takes about 8 hours in the fridge so I make mine nightly for the next day.

Oh yes, I love drinking ACV in the morning with a ginger lemon tea. It’s so delicious. My family thinks I’m crazy because they all can’t stand the smell. I’d not recommend green tea before bedtime unless you make sure it’s a decaf green tea.

I bought some Apple Cidar Vinegar and didn't really know what to do with it so excellent idea. Would like more recipes on healthy uses. I tied it today by making a salad dressing with it and some olive oil but then I saw videos of how bad it really is so I'm confused..I've become quite a fan of your videos as they are very informative and helpful! I love how you explain the biotech side of it all! I've just pretty much gone an an illimination diet but started off trying to go keto but had to modify it since I can't handle any dairy products at all. Illimination grains as far as commercial flour, breads, etc was no problem since I was also unable to stomach any of it as it would give me horrible heartburn. But I can handle home cooked brown rice. Any rate, I was trying to see which diet plan I fall under and it's closest to Whole30 since I'm trying to stay away from all processed foods, oils, sugars, etc. But I'm not plant based either cause I love meat. But unfortunately, alot of meats have added tons of salt & nitrates..for example, I love ham, especially, during the holidays but I had to watch a video on how to draw out all that salt! Wow, I looked at the sodium levels per oz. And I couldn't believe it. Since I have high blood pressure, I really need to watch too much salt. I'm also on Medication for it but I've noticed it goes up in the morning. Good news is since I've been mindful of not going above the sodium limits my blood pressure has gone down quit a bit. It was 137/82 this morning and normally it would be as high as 165/95! Anyhow, I really appreciate your channel!!but ugh what a tangled web of what to eat woes lol 😂

Ok, this is the first drink with Apple Cider Vinegar that I have ever been able to drink! I will try it a few nights and see if it helps my sleep! I made a sorta similar one last night I put a scoop of collagen powder, with 2 tablespoons of acv and a sprinkle of cinnamon and ginger and lemon, with a very small drop of honey, very small. I'm out of other stevia etc. Slept great and as well when I woke up I noticed my urine was clear as crystal, no yellow in it at all. I noticed it stayed that way for the most of the day. Also true stomach was flatter this morning.

The first thing I consume in the morning is... One whole lemon & lime squeezed, including the pulp. One heaped teaspoon of organic date syrup & one tablespoon of Braggs ACV. All added to 400ml of warm water. Tastes lovely after cycling & my workout routines. May start to add cinnamon from now on? Bed time, after meals, I have two teaspoons of Braggs ACV mixed with warm water. Never knew about adding stevia, but I do now 👍

Don’t forget your SWEETENER if taking ACV at night. You DON’T want to ELEVATE your heart rate right before going to bed. A sweetener like stevia will help with this!

I am type 2 diabetic and started taking this drink before bed about 10 days ago. My fasting glucose has dropped 30-50 points since starting. Disclaimer I work out 4-6 days a week doing resistance and cardio so this is not a magic cure but a supplement that has and is providing amazing results.

I make something similar every night and it is delicious! Sub ACV with coconut vinegar due to apple allergies, then no powders, but I do add a pinch of cayenne! Excited to try your new added elements to change it up! Keep the recipes coming!

Funny how I heard about the benefits from acv for awhile but I wasn't completely sold on it. Recently I wasn't feeling myself, no energy, stomach was bloated, weight gain, etc. Finally gave this a try taking a cap full per day. What a change now! My bloating isn't a issue, losing weight cause of the extra energy I'm getting. Now I have my kids taking this everyday with me. Highly recommend ACV to all.

yes, anything with calories or that elicits an insulin response will break your fast

technically no, anything over 50 calories will..i have collagen daily an it does not break my fast an still remain in ketosis but some people might be different, but that's general rule of thumb with fasting but take in all calories from the day , say you have a diet soda ect the one i use has 40 calories per serve fyi

I cant find the recipe but Dr. Berg has a video to have tea with cinnamon prior to the small protein meals prior to breaking the fast. I think he said it will lower the insulin that is really high so that it's low when you consume that protein..

Great video. I’d like to know a) if this breaks my 16 hour fasting window, and b) how much the stevia increases insulin levels. I ask the latter because there is fairly recent research indicating that the mere TASTE of sweet stimulates insulin production. I’m 60, fit, but pre-diabetic.Thanks!

I would advise just put 1 or 2 drops. It wont make it "sweet" but will take the edge off it being too "sour" so it won't elevate your heart rate at bedtime

I have been using ACV in the am, noon, pm before bed and also cut out grains and dairy and have lost a lot of belly fat. I will continue doing this but Im happy with the results so far. I could see belly fat loss after the first night.

Yes. That is okay because there's no calories in the tea, the apple cider vinegar only has 3 calories in 1 tablespoon. The cinnamon and the Stevia has no calories.

Well I’ve just had my ace drink for the evening, I only added 2 lid fulls of the acv. I’ll increase it tomorrow evening till I get the taste of it. It is sweet with the stevia, something I’m not used to in tea these days but if it helps with the taste I’m fine with it. So I’m ready for a nice relaxing evening and a good nights sleep. I have the alarm set for four am to do my yoga before work in the morning. Now to stay true to my plan and not press that snooze. Thanks for the recipe and I’m checking out other videos of yours. Try adding coconut oil to your coffee. I add a tablespoon and it totally takes the bite out and is easier on the stomach

Try and get Ceylon cinnamon and not the cassia stuff. Ceylon is a bit healthier, but cassia is cheaper

I just tried this Bragg apple cider vinegar ( 2 tbs ) in 2/3 cup of spring water at room temperature, and it tasted pretty good. There is the vinegar tartness in the background along with the apple flavor, and it was almost good enough for guests. Good enough for me, but guests would want a sweetener and maybe other flavors. But, for me, quite good. I'm drinking it because I have acid indigestion. And I drank my 1st cupful about an hour ago, and no indigestion, so I'm waiting to see how long it works. I will drink some before going to bed.
