I would like to see more integration with the Reminders app and calendar for daily planning Including the ability to just stay in the notes app and add things to my calendar or add a note to the calendar or reminders
I love the handwriting correction...just tried it on my iPad and it's great. Sometimes when I'm notetaking my handwriting gets BAD and it's nice to have a little help in cleaning it up. 🐬
The missing piece is backup, along with import and export. iCloud is great, but because the updates across devices are so fast, it’s a feature just waiting for a problem to happen.
What is missing is a triangle in addition to the ruler so I can make easily pretties exakt sketches (parallel lines, 45 and 90 degree angles etc.) for example of furnitures with measurements.
I hope they add these functions to Freeform. I use it to run my D&D sessions as a Dungeon Master. I like it because I can just write on my monster stat blocks to do quick math during battle. To be able to have the math be done for me instantly would be awesome. For now I will probably move back to planning in Notes to use this feature, but I prefer Freeform for the infinite canvas.
I tried to do what you did on Apple Notes, but I think because I’m from Australia and my keyboard is Australian this is the reason why I can’t use the transcriptions of my voice but when I actually put the US keyboard still doesn’t work would you mind to check what keyboard you have what language you have setyou have your note working correctly thanks in advance and have a great day and thanks again for your great video
Does it correct the handwriting on a screenshot with annotated writing? That would be very useful for feedback loops on pdf docs, for example, or images.
Missing more functional export. There are no “pages” so when export a note page break can literally chop words in half. Not sure if there is a way around that now?
Do you know of a way of putting more than one quick note on your desktop? I’m only able to put one at a time. When I put two, it’ll be the same note. Like a post it note.
So with the collapsible lists and all these fantastic additional formatting like options. When you save this new note what file type is it by default? If you share this new type of note by emailing it, for example, will it send as plain text (.txt) like it currently does, or does it give us options of which format to send in ?
When you do the realtime transcription, your text stays as one paragraph. When I use it, every sentence becomes its own line. How do you keep text as paragraphs? Is there a setting somewhere? Thank you.
I have fallen in love with Loqseq. I like how I can journal with it, and link the notes together into a knowledge network. But I would much prefer if this functionality was included in Apple Notes. Note linking is not bad, but stuff like including today's date is not an in-built feature.
Great video. VERY helpful!. I watched in Split View with my Notes app open in the other pane, so I could follow along with each tip. I had already gotten fairly proficient with the new features, but this video really cemented things for me. Many thanks. 🐬
Anyone had issues with Apple Pencil not showing up in Bluetooth devices and not connecting under ios18 beta. My iPad Pro won’t even detect my pencil 2. My iPad mini does and works great. Just curious if it’s a 18 bug.
The converter is actually more amazing than you think. You could write 10m=, and it will fill it in inches, but if you want it in miles you can write: 10m in mi= Or 10kJ in Nm= You can even assign variables like this if you‘re too lazy to convert it yourself: L=100m in km and when you use the variable it will automatically use the 0.1km or 0.06 mi value instead of you having to type ‚in Unit‘ every time. So yeah… you can do a lot of stuff with it…
The absolute best feature of Notes is its ability to recognize handwriting and text in pictures when you search for a note. Taking notes is useless if you cant find them again 6 months from now.
@@Meven2001 I just invented some words in Dutch and wrote them down with the pencil and it still finds them. So I think it doesnt take language into account.
We need a video about the iPad calculator app and math notes feature I have a friend who is a math teacher and am trying to convince them to score themself an iPad
Quick question: in my iPhone in safari when I have a pdf doc open, when I share it to Notes, it shares the pdf itself. But when I share it on the macbook, it saves the URL. Any way to change that?
Hi everyone, does anybody face issues on iPad OS Beta 18 with overheating and battery draining in Apple Notes while handwriting with Apple Pencil? I face this issue on IPad OS 17.6 and as I see a lot of people face same problem. Please give to know it’s fixed in beta.
In Notes for the iPad , try to write a simple to-do list with the keyboard. Then, take the Pencil and try to write something next to (not below) that list (a parenthesis, a handwritten note, anything). Can you do it? I can't at least in iPadOS 17. It seems that where you write with the keyboard, you can't use the Pencil. Maybe it's just me being clumsy, but I find it absurd.
@@JamesHeshka always the same thing in 18.1. either write with the pen, or write with the keyboard. you cannot add text by hand where you wrote with the keyboard. this makes the app unusable for my needs. much better notability.
Pretty lame they didn’t offer the pop up tools/color/formatting picker through the otherwise worthless double-tap function on the prior version of the pencil. It’s not that impactful, but it’s obviously a decision that was taken to try to draw people to spend more money, rather than an interest of the user base.
